about

Greetings,

I'm here and will attempt to answer questions that relate to either your SPIRITUALITY or your HEALTH. I consider myself to be a very spiritual human being, not religious as I don't follow an organized religion's dogma.
My heart is my good book and I attempt to live life from that point of view. I have lived long enough to have gained some wisdom and feel I could have something worthwhile to share.
I've used herbs and natural supplements and followed a healthy lifestyle since the early 90's, in fact it was herbs and herbal supplements and some lifestyle changes that saved my life.
As there have been some pretty wonderful people that have helped me along my life's journey, it's simply my turn to give back and if I can help someone here, I'm glad to do that. Hope to hear from you with your questions and if I help just one other person during my experience here, it will have been worth it. Have a very Happy&Health new year everyone, you all deserve it!

advice

I wake up in the middle of the night or around like 3 am usually and get up and just drink so much. Like this morning, for instance, I remember getting up and drinking two cans of coke a cola and then a glass of chocolate milk and then just going right back to sleep. I usually do this very fastly. It seems like i cant control it, i just get up and do it without thinking. But i dont even wake up when i need to use the potty!!

Is this/Am I Normal?
What should I Do?

First drinking a cola, any kind is not healthy. There is loads of caffeine in them and diet ones kill brain cells your body can't/doesn't replace or rebuild. Milk is bad also.... doing any kind of dairy products is bad for your health as it literally leeches the calcium out of your bones, that why, the USA where the most dairy is consumed has the highest rate of osteoperosis in the world! If you wish to drink something, what's wrong with plain ole water or some chammomile tea, which helps one go to sleep safely as it's not bad for your health! You're young and you would be wise to begin developing good habits now, that take into consideration the health and well-being of your body. Afterall, your body has to get you through the rest of your life.... do it in style and with a great, healthy and happy body!

Anyone know a good way to stop a habbit of biting my nails? I keep biting them w/out realizing it for a few minutes. My family keeps getting mad at for it. It's driving me crazy! Plese help. I'll rate high for god advice. Thanks!

Hi.... my daughter Reba use to bite her fingernails and what helped her break herself of the habit was this. I found a product in a local healthfood store... can't remember the name now as it's been over 30 years ago and I'm sure there are several products out there by now.... but it was like a fingernail polish she would apply that tasted really horrible, so she soon didn't put her fingertips or fingernails in or near her mouth any longer. I'm sure you can find such a product locally.... if you ask around and I know it worked for Reba really well and once in awhile she still talks about it! And now she has really nice nails and works as a parlegal and manages a legal office in Portland Oregon! Good luck!

what is space module

A device made my humankind to convey something(humans usually) into outer space...... it is the part that remains after the thrusters/boosters/fuel tanks are not longer needed.

Do you believe that "God" has already planned out our destiny, or do you believe we make our own destiny?

And do you believe everything happens for a reason, or do you feel that's just some clever line a thinker thought up to try to reduce the amount of stress and anger in our lives?

Deep questions.... I believe we create our destiny. I believe there's a higher purpose behind everthing that happens on our earth. There are no accidents, only life lessons. I believe, tho some events are really ugly, that there is a Divive plan behind it all and and each of us has a role to play in this 'game of life'... for we're each a soul that descended into the dense reality of earth to garner vibrational points upon the ladder of eternity by 'getting our lessons' on earth, the kingdom of free will and choice. It's hard here on earth, but the soul gains more here toward raising it's vibration up the ladder. I don't think I've explained this very well... but it's how I understand it works and I came to understand all this when I almost died and became kind of a conduit for higher vibrational truth. I hope this helps just a little.... but if you follow your heart.... or your soul in human form.... you're on your absolute highest path and shall fulfill your soul's mission to earth and your soul will gain eternally for that accomplishment.

Im a christian.
But i feel like, i need to do something to make my prayers heard. Or something its really hard to explain, i almost feel like i have no connect with god.
How do i become a "better" christian?
i suppose thats what im asking.

One realizes a very deep connection with God, in my humble opinion, when you realize that God is within you not outside you. That's why I see my heart as my soul, so if I allow my heart to guide my choices, following my heart you might say and allowing its deepest desires to surface and to be met.... then I am one with my God. I'm not a Christian... I haven't read the good book, because my heart is my good book but I do live by the Golden Rule.... and I hope this helps just a little.... I almost died and I was given this second chance and during my recuperation I spent many hourse exploring myself and life and have come up with my perspective on life!!! I wish you well dear heart!

Im having such a horrible boy problem right now. You dont even know. Well, theres this guy G (i dont feel compfortable putting his name, heh)that I like, and he isnt like OHMYGOD hot, but his face is cute, and he has a beautiful smile, and hes really nice. We hang out in track like, all the time... But the thing is, he kinda likes my Best friend. Its my fault they even started talking, but now I get the feeling she likes him, even thou she denys it every time i ask her. Hes 18...and My best friend and I are both 13. Which is totaly illigal (i dont know if it is in other states too?) But yea. I dont know, Im like, totaly in love with him, and no matter how hard I try, I cant get over him :-\. Urg... Then theres this guy K(dont wanna put his name)..yes, hes black, and 17, and also on track, but I feel like hes developing some kind of feelings for me.. Were really close, talk all the time and im his "Little Sis" .. when ever we have the chance to do ANYTHING (not like that, just take walk, talk ect) we do it. and sometimes he has his arm around me, and his hand is on my waist..And sometimes we sorta hold hands.. But I know I could never date him because hes black, and my parents would 100% completely disapprove of it.. But its weird because lately, not only does he call me little sis, but he calls me "his little princess".. Idk. Im trying my best not to like him, but its so hard trying to get over G at the same time. What in the world should I do?

First, just relax with yourself and your lif. Your age means you have many years of growing up to do and many experiences left to explore and grow through. I can remember having the same kind of thing happen in my past. But I would suggest you just be friends and not try to make something out of the friendship. It nothing more ever happens, you'll still have a really good friend, and no better tresure can ever be realized. You'll push G out of your human experience by making more out of the situation than there is intended to be there. Pushing and pulling your life won't assist the very highest outcome for you. Just let everything relax, let it flow and be satisfied with having one true and real friend. It's hard in this crazy, silly and chaotic world, to find such a prize. Be thankful you have that and who knows how it will all turn out.... but leave the doors of communication between you and G wide open, so when he needs a really good friend you're there for him and then he will be the same for you. I feel focusing more on your school work, grades, and your family are important too and one day you'll look back, like I have, and be just a little sorry you didn't connect with that part of your life too. I know it's not easy being your age, well it isn't any easier being older and so if you can keep your head on start now, your years ahead will go more smoothly, because you 'got it' when you were younger. Be mature, reel in those loose emotions and pump all that energy into getting good grades, eating healthier foods and being good to your body. It has to take you through the rest of your life! And who knows, perhaps 50 years from now, G will still be your very best friend! You deserve all the goodness in your life, you are willing to open yourself up to receiving... don't push it away by trying to figure it all out... that's like trying to go upstream in a boat without a paddle or a motor or at worst, your eyesight. I wish you well and I believe in you and that you will do the best you can do! That's all you have to worry about.... doing your best and trusting that sometimes we lose our focus but can regain it at anytime we make the choice. Have a great new year!

Ok I know whats wrong with my eye. I have Sinuses and it's putting pressure on them and it hurts so bad. What can I put on it to make it hurt less?

Well, it it were me I tried to cure the sinus problem. There's a virus going around, at least here in the Pacific Northwest, that invades the sinuses.... if it were me experiencing the problem I'd get off all sugar, and especially dairy products. Dairy always makes any sinus or any cold or flu worse because it builds up mucous in the membranes.... if you have an Oriental grocery store around your area or a natural foods store or health store I'm sure they would be able to suggest some herbal things that would assist you.... I take those things with any hint of sinus issues and find relief with them. Sugar works to compromise your body's own/natural immune system.... so sweet things should be avoided while the problem continues. Hope this helps...oh, if you have an eucalyptus essential oil in the house, sniffing it I finds opens my sinuses and is especially in a hot bath! Do some research in the library in natural cure books or herbal healthcare reference books! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

I'm looking for a houseplant that produces a lot of oxygen. Does anyone know of any?

I can tell you a really good plant IF you live in a home with cigarette smokers, or pipe or cigars..... spider plants do a very very very good job of filtering the air..... as for plants that give off a lot of oxygen... what I've done is find plants that do very good in my home and under my care... I experimented with the very affordable plants that are commonly on sale at local variety stores.... in usually 2 or 4 inch pots.... as soon as I could tell which were going to thrive in my home(each home is so different) then I bought more of that plant or varieties of the plant and now I have huge houseplants, some reaching almost to the ceilings and the air in my home is very good! I also play music(from a tv channel w/o commercials) for my plants whenever I'm away and I also mist them occasionally with water. I went to a beauty supply place and found a good hand sprayer that will last longer than the cheaper versions. Basically find which plants like your home or your room the best and then go for it. I wish you success! If I can do it YOU can do it! It was my mother that was good with plants. In fact after she passed away my daughter brought me the big corn plant that was my mom's and she had to use a pickup truck! I still have it. Watch your watering techniques, some plants like more than others....and repot as the plant grows... some plants like to be in a smaller container.... just don't give up. I almost did and I'm sure glad now that I didn't! I think it's more about what works for you and your space or home, than which ones give you more oxygen for they all do that.

okay well for a snack everyday during one of my classes i eat fruit snacks because they are small, clean and dont leave my hands sticky at all. well i know that they arent that good for you and my doctor doesnt want me eating them anymore and i was looking for an alternative. any ideas

it has to be

~ crumb free
~ not stick
~ fit in my purse
~ not too expensive
~ somewhat filling (more than fruit snacks)
~ wont crumble in my purse
~ wont make my hands sticky
~ can't need refrigeration
~cant use a spoon or fork
~ cant be destracting or take a long time to eat
~ etc

Well, here is the absolute best answer I could offer you. I use to be a partner in a working herb store along the Oregon coast. I use to play lots and lots of tennis. I am currently almost 61 years old. And my fav snack is a very healthy snack. In fact I still use them. We sold them in the herb store, they are made locally in Oregon by a woman who started her business when she wanted her kids to have heathy snacks in their lunches. Now she has a very successful business doing that for other parents' kids and their lunches. I call my fav snack a 'green ball' because it it. It contains 1,000mg of spirulina, which is a blue green algea and is a complete food. Also in these balls there almond butter, chopped almonds that the ball is rolled in and four herbs poweders that come my the herb store. They help balance blood sugar levels and even my little diabetic 70yo friend keeps on in her purse, car and by her bed in case her blood sugar drops. When I use to play tennis, I always carried them in my athletic bag or racquet bag and often ate one before playing or between games. I don't know where you live, but I know Betty Lou ships all over the country and this is snack that would be good for your whole family! Here is there website: =category&show=nut+butter+balls&item=ITEM027-40

or if that doesn't' work I found it through a google search, searching for Betty Lou's and then going to the 'balls section' and looking for the spirulina balls..... good luck!

I don't know.... you can try your natural foods stores or any outlet that sells organic things.... perhaps they will have them or could order them for you.... for the company I told you about....I'm sorry I didn't mean to confuse you..... you could orden them from our local herb store here, they are 99cents each.... their number is: 800-308-0277.... they will have to charge you shipping and handling.... I'm really sorry I didn't mean for this to get complicated for you.... look in your phone book for natural foods groceries or health food stores and see if they can order from Betty Lou's in Oregon.... I hope this works out for you! They are really the best snack I know of. Also, you could find recipes in health food type books at your library I bet.... I've heard of nut butter ball recipes or go online and look for such a recipe!!! make you own and you'll know it's a healthy snack.... you can freeze some and keep some ready for snackin'.... make a big batch and then you won't have to make a batch very often.... good luck!

Okay .... well a while ago i cut myself on the top of my wrist and now i have thid huge scar on my wrist.. what can i do to get rid of this scar?!?!?! Give me the BEST one you have that i can buy at like CVS becayuse i will have to get the stuff on my own

I don't know how old your scar is.... but if it were me, I'd get some vitamin e capsules and squeeze the liquid out on it. I don't know where you live, but if there might be a natural foods store or an herb store(I live on the Oregon coast in a very small town and am very fortunate to have both, and I was married to the town herbalist for 10yrs and he saved my life), go to these resources and ask them, I know they can be of good assistance. If not go to your library and do some research, there are several good natural healing books with references to your issue, or to scars. Most prepared commercial products are diluted, expensive and less effective than you'll find in those two types of stores. I wish you well. Oh, the vitamin e can get kind of stick icky....perhaps placing the oil onto a good thick padded bandaid would prevent it from getting on your clothes or bed linen?!

ok well i'm 13/f and i just found like a bald spot on my head! i mean i have hair that covers it up... but there's like a quarter sized bald spot when i lift my hair up... what could be the cause of this and is there anything i can do? this is so embarassing and weird! please help- i rate

Well, the first thought would be that you have a scar there and the hair isn't going to return to that effected area. Then I'd ask if the skin there itches or you have any discomfort? If so, possibly it might be a ringworm and you'd want to follow up on that. If not, then ask yourself if you have such spots any place else on your body? If not, have an adult look at it. If it's not a scar, if it doesn't itch, burn, get scaley, then it's probably not a ringworm, then perhaps it's just a quirk of nature and you won't have hair there ever...... but do have an adult look it over and don't fret and fuss too many about it if indeed it's not a ringworm or effects you in any other physical way.... or you'll cause some other condition to occur because you're worrying about it too much. It sounds like it doesn't show, so most others won't know it's even there.

Today I decided to completley put my faith and trust into God, I really took him into my life today. However, I just started going to church last year so I was never baptised and never confirmed. Can I still expect to go to Heaven? What exactly does being confirmed or baptised mean?

I've not attended and church or read the Bible, nor have I been baptised or confirmed and not for a single second have I ever wondered if I would go to Heaven or not. I believe a Creator, as Divine as Christianity's God, would not ever judge It's own creation. That just wouldn't make sense to me. I know I haven't answered your question... but from my almost 61yo perpsective, I see the Bible as a history book, used for centuries to put fear into people's hearts, to control the masses in times of upheaval. You dear heart are a beautiful creation, a one of a kind, and doesn't it feel good to know there is only one person just like you, YOU?! I have the Creator in my heart, it came about when I almost died, and I simply allow my heart to guide my choices and live by the Christian's Golden Rule. I believe Christ came to teach me to love others unconditionally and that I am responsible for my choices/sins and that no one had to die to save me. It is for me to save me. Christ came to earth as the ultimate example of a human being who had simply stepped into his 'magic' powers if you will, to heal, to lead by example, and to show us the Way back to the Divine Light of Love that is eternal. I hope you find your answer, that you find peace with this issue in your life and that one day, perhaps years from now, you remember my answer and it clicks with you, like it did for me back in the late 80's. I wish you well, and send you all blessings in all ways that you may 'see' you way to inner peace.

I put this in spirituality even though it doesn't really fit...

When I was a young teen I was very active in my church and school. I was in the choir, I helped to organize the children's liturgy, and I took part in the discussions and events that our Catechist organized all the time.

When I was seventeen I feel in love with another girl. For a few months we kept our relationship secret, but eventually it had to come out and my church pretty much ostracized me and told me in no uncertain terms that my help was no longer needed. My relationship with that girl lasted for two years and we are still very close friends. What happened with my church makes me very sad, but I don't regret my choices. I am a bi-sexual woman and I'm not ashamed of it.

The problem is now I am dating a guy and have been for a while. Old friends from the church are suddenly talking to me and being all nice and welcoming again. It's breaking my heart because I know if this relationship ends and I meet a woman I want to date I'll be kicked out again just as quickly. They keep inviting me out to dinner or to mass, (I have kept going over the years but I'm basically ignored by everyone.) Part of me wants desperately to be accepted and loved by these people again, the other part of me is just furious with the way they treated me and the pressure they are putting on me now to conform. Should I just accept this while it lasts or should I maybe say something to these people?

Well, not ever having been 'Christian' in any sense of the word, but to allow my Creator in my heart to guide my choices.... I may not have sound advice, but I'm willing to discuss this issue with you.

In my way of thinking my Creator(I don't use the term God, too many connotations) created all of us equal and my Creator does not judge me or anyone else to condem them here or there. If you are to disallow your deepest feelings to surface, you will be simply passing through life, not honoring who and how and what you truly are all about.

I can tell you that having lived almost 61 years, I have finally, and very thankfully come to appreciate the value of following my heart's deepest desires. I had been through several marriages/divorces and luckily my three children, now all adults having families, came through my dysfunction just fine.

If YOU are not true to YOU, who will be? You are here on this glorious earth to take respsonsibility for your choices and anytime you make those 'lower choices', w/o your heart fully involved, you will in some way pay a price. Maybe you, like me, won't see it for decades, but you will.

I don't anything about your church, your religion, but I am very spiritual person and I see Jesus as my brother in the Divine Light of Love and Truth. He came to teach me to live by the Golden Rule and to love others. If I have sinned, I wish to be responsible and I would not ever ask another to give up their life because I may have made a lower choice.

I do not mean to offend you, nor tell you what to do... but I can tell you that to follow the wisdom of your heart is your highest, truest, and in my opinion, most spiritual path. This young man you're dating should know of your bi-sexual tendencies and if he really loves you he will undertand, but to keep such a big part of your beingness/truth from him is do to do you or him a single favor.

As for those who judged your choice, is that a very Christian thing to do? I say, for those who judged you, you are better off to find a new circle of friends who will accept you exactly as you are. Those who do really love you with the love that is Divine and eternal and of the Christ vibration.

I would hope that you will find within yourself your truest stengths and the courage to carry through those dark moments when human dysfunctions will try to envelop you and your beautiful beingness. You dear heart are a unique, one of kind piece of Divine artwork, a masterpiece and honor your own creation with each and every choice you make.

My thoughts and my heart will be with you. Afterall, we are eternal sisters on the path of being human aren't we? All blessings to you dear heart!

does anyone know an exercise for ur butt? and theighs? lol it sounds funny but im serious

I may be an old lady, but when I want my butt to be more round.... I lie on my back, put this certain Elton John record on and simply tighten my butt cheeks and keeping my body laid out straight and sort of stiff.... rock back and forth to the beat of the song...until it's over...about 3 mins.... you keep your butt cheeks tight the whole time.... and then there's the one... you get down on all fours...hands and knees.... lift one leg at a time out straight behind you.... lift it up and down and up and down without touching the floor with your foot... then change legs and do it all over again, between these to exercised, I can maintain a tight round butt....ha! Also walking up hill while tightening the butt cheek on the side where the leg is going to take the step uphill works well also.... hope I've made some sense of this, if not contact me and I'll try to explain these again... I do know they work tho..... and my body is lots older than yours... so it takes more for me.... to maintain mine, lucky you...

its was kinda embrassing situation....recently we had a dance party where i was dancing like crazy having beer & few puffs of smoke...I was sweating excessively i can say....sweat dripping from my face...my party shirt completly wet....i heard one of my colleagues saying yucks i cant dance with him, look at this state....i was totally embarassed..can we control sweating by regular excersise...plz advise as i dont want to put myself into that particular situation again....rate high for the best advise...

From my experience excess sweating can be from kidneys not doing their job properly.... see if you can find a naturopathic doctor, an Oriental doctor or a working herbalist in your area, if not go to the library and search through those kinds of books with excessive sweating as the subject matter.. this is just a suggestion and I feel one worth looking into... don't use those stupid underarm deodorants with the bad ingredients.... I use what I call a 'pit stone' it looks like a clear rock and you simply get it wet and rub in on under your arms, it still lets you sweat(your pours under your arms don't want to be plugged up with bad stuff) but you don't smell..... do some research in alternative publications and find what foods, supplements help the kidneys function more efficiently... I find alternative methods work real well as the saved my life in the early 90's.... so I know they work.... good luck!

I am 5ft. 3in and weigh 140lbs! I have tried to los weight but I just can't. I am like one of the biggest girls in my school and at my dance studio. I hate it, especially when this one girl kept making fun of my size. My doctor even told me I need to lose weight. What should I do? I have tried dieting and excersicing but nothing works! Why me?

You will not gain weight on veggies and rice... but don't use white rice, no nutrition what so ever.....also stay away from anything in flour in it, bread and bread products(muffins, rolls, cookies, pancakes, waffles, most cerals) and stay away from pastas, sphagetti stuff.... they'll put weight on most of us out here.... find ways to enjoy and prepare veggies and fruits...but don't mix fruits with meals...eat them separately and make certain you're having a bowel movement for every meal you eat, if you're not, then you aren't eliminating the waste/toxins from your system.... and sometimes young people go through their 'fat stage' but again, look at what you're fueling our body with and then try to upgrade and improve upon your choices.... it will assist you in the long run, afterall you've got lots of years left to spend in that physical body of yours..... take care and good luck... stay away from sodas, especially those horrible diet ones.... they kill brain cells your body doesn't ever replace...

ok i went to the hospital because i had heart fluttering & i felt really dizzy & sometimes my heart felt pressure, etc etc. but now i have to wait, but is it true that your chest can actually palpitate?? i felt a feeling close to that on the other side. any ideas er juss anything?? expierence wise?? im 15 btw & i have asthma & play sports.

thanks!!

With asthma don't do any, ANY dairy, it will exasperate your condition but you know that right? Heart palpitations are quit common and mine was due to a need my body had for more magnesium.... so I now take a good calcium magnesium supplment, one my body can actually absorb.... some one the market ie: ones containing oyster shell or chalk, won't help a bit.... do you eat junk foods? Better start eating better if you do as your body is trying to tell you something. Don't drink diet sodas and any soda is really bad, mine come from our natural foods store, when I do do one or two. Eat often and the dizziness might go away... the body needs fuel and the right fuel to operate properly just as a car needs gas and not water or sugar.... they won't run long on the wrong stuff.... I'm sure our condition can be fixed.... if you make some of the right and higher choices....good luck.

hey i'm a guy. this girl i know is starting to scare me. we used to talk about everything and always have a blast, but a few months ago we started to talk less. i noticed she wasn't as active as she was before, and asked her about it. just as it seemed to be, she told me she was depressed and didn't like the kind of life she was living. she went on about all the bad things in her life with family, school, friends, herself, etc. i tried to point out good things to her, but she always came back at me with something to disprove it. after not talking for a week or so, she said she just wanted to end her life and to get away from everything. i didn't take this too serious at first, but lately she hasn't been eating, barely talks, and hasn't been looking too healthy. if she is thinking about suicide, what should i do? i asked her about it and she didn't want to talk. should i tell her parents? please help

Wow, what a good friend you are to seek help for her.... one day she'll truly appreciate having a friend like you. I really don't have an answer.... does she get along with her parents, or one of them? If so, I'm sure they've noticed a change but they may appreciate hearing it from one of her caring friends. If not, then I'd try a different approach.... does she eat well when she eats...is she conscious of heathy foods vs junk stuff? She may have a female hormone imbalance.... is their a working herbstore around you or a good healthfood store around... go there and ask them... take her there and see if she will be interested...also there are some really good herbal anti-depressants that are all natural with no side effects and I know people who got off presciption ant-depressants with them.... does she get any exercise, take her walking... does she do fun things outside the home, are her parents quarreling, or getting a divorce... is she taking any medications... perhaps depression is a side effect.... does she have bad dreams and they are effecting her daytime.... is she overweight, does she have proper bowel movements... if we don't eliminate properly we become walking talking toxic waste dumps.... what else.... it sounds like she could use a natural anti-depressant first... to help with symptoms right away and then look into the female imbalances..... does she have periods like she is suppose to...does she take birth control pills.... good luck I hope this helps.... any good library will have a women's section...perhaps the two of you can go and research female imbalance issues... and she'll find her problem there... and they will share some solutions if you find the good books... there are many.... good luck and I wish I had a friend like you!

i'm a junior and guy. my friends usually like to have parties or get togethers, and i usually can't go because something comes up or i have other plans. with this group of friends, they are good guys, generally stay out of trouble, but the one day i couldn't go, i decided not to because i had to work on a project. the next day i heard one of the guys was rushed into a hospital because he was drinking too much. i dont like drinking, never have, and would like not to. so if they do invite me to a get together, should i just decline? i don't want to be left out of the loop, but personally i don't like drinking, don't really mind if others do though. what should i do...avoid it completely? will rate

I'm just an old lady, but a really together grandma and I've never been drunk and I've taken flack for it most my life... but I just don't care what people think of me. So, go to the party and take along with you whatever it is you'll want to drink while they drink what they want to. I use to drive my friends around town because they were always drunk and I never was... I often wondered how many lives I had saved...? If the pressure gets too great from your buddies, shame on them for doing that to you but misery loves company, and hangovers can't be much fun... I remember all the kids with hangovers on Mondays at school, how awful that must have been to attempt to study or focus.... just take a swallow of some of their brew and then a swig off yours(hopefully an almost empty container, and spit their brew into your container, they won't get it.... and you'll appear to them to be consuming..... and just don't let their pressure get to you... let them know you wish to be their friend because you see good things about them, but you believe that drinking doesn't add to your life or your physical well being... they'll poke fun but in later years they'll realize you were right all along..... I respect your view and your attitude toward drinking.... I haven't missed out on a single thing by not drinking... and now I have a glass of red wine with a meal sometimes because it is healthy for me....it's whatever is under the skin of the grapes that go into making red wine..... good luck and remain true to yourself, for it is your life, your choices and you will not ever be sorry.... this is the voice of experience... and an old nutsy weirdo kook, but hey I'm having a really good life.... so I have no complaints...
