There's a virus going around, at least here in the Pacific Northwest, that invades the sinuses.... if it were me experiencing the problem I'd get off all sugar, and especially dairy products. Dairy always makes any sinus or any cold or flu worse because it builds up mucous in the membranes.... if you have an Oriental grocery store around your area or a natural foods store or health store I'm sure they would be able to suggest some herbal things that would assist you.... I take those things with any hint of sinus issues and find relief with them. Sugar works to compromise your body's own/natural immune system.... so sweet things should be avoided while the problem continues. Hope this helps...oh, if you have an eucalyptus essential oil in the house, sniffing it I finds opens my sinuses and is especially in a hot bath! Do some research in the library in natural cure books or herbal healthcare reference books! Good luck and hope you feel better soon! [ Heartwhisper's advice column | Ask Heartwhisper A Question ]

Have you been tested for allergies to mold spores, dust, pollen, etc? You could possibly have an allergy to one of those which could be causing your problem. This can be treated with over the counter medicine like Claratin. If this is a long-standing problem, I suggest going to your doctor because you might have a bad infection which can only be treated by perscription medication. If it doesn't get better within a couple of days, make an appointment! [ DirtySchmageggie's advice column | Ask DirtySchmageggie A Question ]

There are several products on the market to help with sinus pressure and pain. If these don't help, I would suggest making an appointment with your family doctor. There's a possibility you have a sinus infection which will need to be treated with antibiotics.
Sometimes putting a warm or cool cloth (Cool helps me, but a friend swears by warm) over your eyes will help to relieve the pain. Just run some water over a washcloth, ring out the excess water, and put it over your eyes for a few minutes while you lay down. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
