I have to do a history project in a group. There are three other people in my group, and two of them are horrible. Not only do they not do any work, their fooling around is totally distracting. The project is due soon and I'm going insane. Any advice on what to do?

Do the project, but don't put their names on it. They don't deserve a (good) grade for something that they didn't do.

Hi, I notice that you have a lot of experience in music and have recommended Wicked songs to a few people. I seem to sound okay singing along to high sounding songs (sorry I'm not up on the lingo!) so is there a Wicked song that was or is played on the radio, like one I'd know? I'm thinking of downloading one. Or maybe you could suggest a song that ANYONE sounds good singing to?! Wouldn't that be a dream?! haha. Thanks.

Well, a soprano wouldn't sound good singing a song that was out of their range, and vice versa. I suggest going on iTunes and typing in "Wicked" and listening to the songs for yourself.

Many people sound good singing to "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson, so I'd give that a try.

This may be an weird question but since I can't sing very well I was wondering if when a person is good at singing is it because they are just born that way and can sing to anything or whether you can only sing to songs your voice is suited to. I wanna be able to sing so badly but I'm not that crash hot so I was just wondering if there is any hope for me?! 16/f

I was born with an average voice. I joined choir in 6th grade (I'm in 10th now), and now I am a member of a national awardwinning showchoir (we sing AND dance simultaneously).

um, i suck at singin && i'm f/15 with sorta deep vioce, but i only sound ok with songs that are slightly high notes...if u no wot i mean...

Exfoliate, don't wear flip-flops.

Alternatively, you could use self-tanner on your tan lines only to even out your feet.

Can you replace the earphones that you have that attach to the iPod that comes when you purcahse it? If you can, do you like call them and ask for them to send a new one or what?

Well, any standard headphones will work.

If you iPod is under warranty still, they will send you free new ones. The customer service place is in India, though, so bear that in mind. But the stuff isn't shipped frorm there.

Personally, I found it weird. I have a hard time opening up to people in general, though, so that might be why.

For me, it was family counseling, and it helped for like, a day, but in the long run, no, it definitely didn't help.

I am very confused about religion. My family is Christian and believe in God, but aren't too religious. I was never told to believe in anything.

I believe in God. BUT I also believe in Karma. Is there any sort of name or religion for that? they are two different beliefs and religions, but I believe in both.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe in G-d. This is my take on religion.

I encourage you to make up your mind about what YOU want to believe, not what others have shoved down your throat.

If I want to be a history teacher, what should I major in college for? Also, is there a difference in what you should major for if you want to be a 6th grade history teacher or say an 11th grade history teacher?

You could major in almost anything, but a history-related major would be ideal, in addition to your teaching credential in the state in which you reside.

Depending on where you want to teach, there is a difference. If sixth grade is considered elementary, then you would need a primary education degree/credential. For middle and high school (secondary education) you would need a credential in the subject that you plan to teach.

I see you know a lot of singing, and I need help.

I'm a soprano. Recently, something horrible has happened to my higher register. I can sing fine up to an F, but from G5 on up, my notes are sounding squawking, tight, and just no vibrato, whereas I used to have strong, lovely high notes with plenty of vibrato. I used to sing up to a High D…now, I can only sing to a High B. And I can only sing those notes on an open vowel, like “ah.” On “eh” or “ee” no sound comes out at all. I’ve checked, and it’s not because I’m not singing right. It’s something wrong with my voice. It’s been like this for about a month.

What could be wrong? What can I do about it?

Are you sick? Do you have allergies?

First of all, you should be singing ee through oo lips. So, if you can sing oh or ah, then you should be able to sing ee.

I suggest drinkning warm water with honey and lemon and gargling with salt water. After that, try to warm up. Do this for a week, and see if you can go higher. If not, then I suggest seeing a doctor.

Also, you could have trachaitis, bronchitis, or laryngitis.

I havent drank plain milk for as long as i can remember. Like a full glass. I can use it for cereal but thats about it. i can Drink strawberry milk without a problem. i eat dairy products such as cheese but drinking plain white milk makes me sick and gag pretty much.

--when i do drink strawbeery milk its the kind that is pre-made.

you are either lactose intolerant or you're not. You're probably not if you can drink it other times. You probably just don't like it.

On the other hand, you could have a milk allergy. Call an allergy doctor to schedule a test for this.

Put the most important things at the beginnging and end of your study session. This is the stff that sticks the most.

As for your GPA, 2 As, 1 B, and 3Cs is a 3.0.
