Question Posted Thursday September 7 2006, 3:05 pm
My boyfriend and I both have an account on this site. There are some questions I ask about him that I don't want him to see. Is there any way to block a user from seeing questions, without them knowing they've been blocked.

If he sees that you answered the question, he's not going to think that you asked it. I THINK that you can do that and that it is allowed, but I'm not positive. Check with Dangernerd first. Just as long as you don't give yourself feedback, it should be fine. Boosting your ratings isn't allowed and if caught, it'll be trouble. Good luck. Just choose some advicenators that you know are good at answering questions, and keep them in mind for future questions you might have and send it to their inbox so it's private. Or, make a new account that's just for whenever you need to ask a question. Also, questions are always confidental. You never have to put your initals or name or anything, so there's no real way of finding out. Like, instead of your real name, your question name could be.. Alyssa, and your boyfriend could be.. Ronald. Plus, your boyfriend probably knows how many people go on this site, and how it could be about anybody, so I hardly suspect he'd think you. :) I hope I helped. Pluse all questions are here are totaly private and dont say who is asking them he would only know it was you if you used real names and stuff like that.
karenR answered Thursday September 7 2006, 5:35 pm: You could ask Dangernerd about it but I believe
multiple accounts isn't encouraged. If caught you would get banned.
You could probably change your user name and not tell him what it is. Again, something DN would have to approve and help you with.
There really isn't any way to block someone from seeing your column. He wouldn't be able to see what questions you asked either unless he is a L2 moderator. Just don't sign your name to it and it
should be pretty anonymous. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
