Hey Advicenators =D
A lot of time has passed, and I feel that I have become a socially awkward person. I have trouble trusting people like I did before, or having a deep, and productive conversation with someone for more than 10 minutes... It hurts me because I feel like I'm growing more distant from those closest to me, my friends and even my family. I don't know why, but I feel that this sort of "anti-socialism" stems from prior experiences where I've trusted some people, only to be taken advantage of later. Is there anything I can do to help my situation?

So evidently there is MySpace etiquette and this is rather frustrating. I actually overheard this at work the other day (keep in mind, I work with people who are not sixteen years old)
Girl: "Why aren't I in your top 8?"
Guy: "Because I'm not in yours silly."
Girl: "Is that the actual reason? Are you kidding me?"
Guy: "Yes, it is the reason."
These people are 21 and 23, essentially, my age. This conversation upset me. I want to jab someone in the eye. I sort of want to jab Tom from MySpace in the eye. What should I do? (link)

As far as I know there is no My Space Etiquette to speak of. I guess the only thing to do would be to write something on your blog on your site if you have one but besides that I really wouldn't know what you could do to change anything. People will be as they are; no one can really change that. Just like the old saying says “You can't fix stupid".

First of what type of computer are you using? Second you have no sound at all right? Does your computer have external speakers or internal. Do you have a volume control on your cd rom drive, if so is it turned up? Give me an answer to these and we will see what we can do.

There is a boy at my school who really likes me..but I absolutly hate him. I went out with him once for about a week cause my friends wanted me to, he then dumped me cause my frineds told him to and recently he asked my friend to ask me if I would go out with him again saying that he loves me and if I say no I would break his heart...so i said no cause i hate him and everything and all my friends have been saying hes a good guy but i dont think he is cause there was an incident earlier this year and I was there and he said I did it and I didnt...and my friends dont realise this so they are pressuring me to go out with him cause I am one of the only people in my group of people that doesnt have a boyfriend and at the moment I dont want one cause I dont like any of the boys at my school at the moment so Im going to wait until next year when new people come to our school but they dont know that and Im to afraid to tell them... what should I do??? Don't be afraid to tell them this, stick up for your self and don't cave into pier pressure. Screw em be who you are not a robot. By the way people do change over the summer, maybe you will find a good guy that maybe you had never noticed before.

My homecoming is october 13 or 14th and i am planning on going. im in tenth if it helps. but i found a dress that has like spaghetti straps and im definitely not tan enough to wear it. if i layout almost everyday til then, and maybe use some tanning oil, will my arms and chest and back be the same?? Well today after one got home there was this awful smell traveling through our house and we believe a skunk sprayed our house. But we think it is trapped in our house or dead. The smell keeps traveling and we dont know how to get rid of it. Any ideas? thank you. (link)

Okay Thrusday I told Eric I liked him.But there was so much more.
On like Monday, Tuesday,and Wensday my bestest friend Emily kept telling me to tell him to not be afraid all this and that..so thurday on the bus we were all alone in the back of the bus talk and i asked him if you promissed a friend something would you breck it and he said no.So about 5 minetes later i told him,
"Well i like you and thats what i promissed Emily i would tell you and like uh thats why i asked you if you would breck a promiss cause i knew if i told you id make a complete fool of myself and Emily told me to wait till i was about to get off but i guess i planned it wrong.."
And he said what...so i repeated myself and he said okay...
not the best thing to say right..but as i was gtting off the bus i feel and smacked my head against the seat he was sitting at cause i fell i tripped and fell and smack!!he just looked at me sadly thats it....and i stayed home friday(today from school)and on the bus to go home he asked emily if she knew where i was and she said i think she stayed home to today and got of the bus....and im not pretty im not calling myself ugly but im not the type of girl who'd be like oh i love you and just make out with the guy.so i know i made a complete fool but i dont know if he said something to anyone about it but he cared about me cause he asked well i think...
do you think he liks me?please explain im worried my friendship with eric is ruined and he hates me

First of from your story I take it you are younger. One thing you need to remember about young boys. The reason he said what and had you repeat it is because he wanted to hear it again. Not because he didn't hear it. Because he wanted to hear it again. When you tripped and fell he probably didn't know what to do, just more out of shock at what you had said. I think he likes you but basically talk with him and see how he acts. That is really all you can do. If he didn't like you he would not have asked what so you would repeat your self and would not have asked where you were... get it.

Simple your friends are not really friends. Get some real ones, and then if they want you to hang out, simply ask them why “you’re other friends to busy?" Why try to be a friend with someone who is clearly using you.

Hi I just turned 13 a week ago and when I was 12, this man pulled up in a car beside me and told me he was Jesus. I am sort of gullible, so I thought he was serious because he can a beard and long brown hair. He told me to get in the car so I did because Hey this is Jesus! He then took me out to his ranch where we played Monopoly (I won by the way). Afterwards, he gave me what he said was sparkling cider. I started to feel all woozily and the next thing I knew I was outside of my house playing hopscotch!

so 5 months ago after my botfriend (adam) and i have broken up i meet this other guy (brandon). and he is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. i went out with him before i was all the way over my ex. and i treated brandon like shit. i called it off and havn't seen or heard of him in 5 months. after i did that i gat back with adam, and now i called it off with us one month ago because he was doing things with other girl and i didn't know. now that i really am over adam, last weekend brandon shows up at my door. i was so happy to see him, i missed him. he asked me back out the next day, and i didn't know what to say. i want to go back out with him, but i don't want to hurt him again. i told him that, and he said that 'if you give me another shot i will make up for everything that adam has done wroug to you, and you will see me as me and for that there will be no way you can hurt me.' i think i'm going to say yes today or tomorrow, but i wanna know from you, what should i do? ok well after school i always walk with my boyfriend to the bus even when he stays after school for his sport. Well today i was excited to see him cause i didn't see him at all the day before, and well i love him so much, and i have no classes with him! its terrible!! and well today i was excited to see him and i was planning on giving him a HUGE hug, and a kiss, as kind of a good luck and a i love you/ miss you. Well today i couldn't find him!! i was devistated! i really wanted to see him and he didn't walk to my last hour lik ehe usually does after school. and i have a bad feeling that he is mad at me cause the day b4 he wasn't answering my txt messages... but when i txted him today asking him where he was and wishing him a good luck, he answered back that he loved me and that he had to go! and now i'm all sad and depressed! what should i do? do u think he is mad at me?? Ok so it is your note pad for sure. Umm ok first try this for me.
THis may be in the registry so ...
To see which ones are in the Registry, go to Start > Run, then type in regedit.exe to enter the Registry.
Don't alter just anything in the Registry!!!!! Changes to the Registry are irreversible and could cause serious damage to your PC.
If it is found then you can delete it by doing this. Now you can use Windows' System Configuration Utility to trim the fat from the Registry Run keys and the Startup group.
1.To start the utility, select Start > Run, then type msconfig.
2. Select the Startup tab to show a list of items executed during bootup.
3. To see the entire Command column, stretch it to the right. A scroll bar should now appear at the bottom of the window, enabling you to view more of the Location information.
4. Scroll down the list to see if you recognize anything that shouldn't be there. If so, all you have to do is clear its check box to remove the appropriate Registry command line or Startup group shortcut.
Tip
The items you remove from the Windows System Configuration Utility aren't lost; they've just moved to a startupreg or startupfolder key in the Registry. You can retrieve them later if it turns out you shouldn't have removed them. To restore an item to the bootup routine, simply run the utility again and recheck the item's box.

okay..guys problems! aaaaagh. i know sorry! but okay so i am pretty good friends with this guy named nick and i fell for him. but he liked this other girl and they are going out! he really likes her and cares about her but me him and my cousins hangout with him alot (thats how i met him, hes good friends/neighbors with my cousin) and so like everytime we hangout he always flirts with me, sometimes i catch him looking at me, and he bought these sunglasses and lastnight at the bowling alley he wouldnt let anyone try them on or hold them for him except me! he's like here try them on, and im like oh jeeze thinking im going to look stupid and then hes like let me see! and i look at him and he like smiles and me and shakes his head and says they look good on you. and then he asks me if i can see his eyes and then im like nope and hes like really? and then im like yea and start laughing and hes like guess what im looking at then right now? and im like i dont know..and hes like you and starts laughing. hes 15, so he cant drive so when i drive he ALWAYS gets shotgun and they were all over at my house lastnight and my cousin was trying to do his hair funny and im like hey let me do it! so then nick was like ok kristen do mine. and he wouldnt let anyone else do it and my cousin was in the bathroom messing around and nick shuts the door and hes like no..this is a private session. it was cute though and so i was like running my hands through his hair and trying to do it and he looks at it when im done and starts laughing and im like what! i think it looks good :) we just flirt alot and like, everyone that we're around like my cousins friends always ask my cousin if me and him have a thing. and she is always like noo they're just good friends! but at this one game i was like he is not that tall! and my cousin is like ..you would know and starts laughing and im like why? and shes like because you and him are always wrestling and tackling each other when your together. my cousin just thinks we're good friends too! everyone does. i think he does too. but then i dont get why he flirts with me and does all this when he says he really loves his girlfriend. i think he does. but might be attracted to me? not to sound conceited but alot of guys told me that they think im hott but ive never had a boyfriend and i dont think im pretty at all either. so maybe he just has an attraction or maybe the things he does doesnt affect me like he thinks its going to? i dont want to tell him im attracted to him or have feelings because i dont want to mess up our friendship so should i keep doing what im doing and see how things go, i cant not see him because hes alwyays with my cousin and im always over there!

I think this guy really likes you. Not just as friends neither. I would be very surprised if he didn’t. He may just be intimidated by you. Since you are older and if you are really hot then he might think there is no chance in hell he will ever get to hook up with you. I would put out more subtle hints that is if you like him and see what happens from there.

If you are deep throating him you may be getting slight bruises in your throat. Second if you are swallowing it may be irritating your throat. What kind of sore, and itch or like if you have strep throat...

Going to guess your notebook is running some version of windows. Go to your start menu and then to the program list, Look for a file directory called Start Up. Look in there and see if anything is listed that has to do with Notebook. If you see there is then erase and try. If not let me know and we will do it another way for you...

so yeah, this os probably going to end up being really long so you can just leave now if you want...so yeah, some little background.
...so up untill like the beginning of this year (senior year of highschool) i have always been reeeaalllly shy. i only had a few best friends (granted, they were mostly girls) but no one that ever LIKED me. then, as soon as i hit senior year, i changed, a LOT. its like my whole outlook on life changed completely, i figured that this is my last year in highschool so i might as well go all out. ive gotten really involved in school clubs and all that, im a LOT more confident, ican actually talk to my peers without being too shy...and i think people are starting to notice it...so far this year ive had three girlfriends, and ive flirted (which i NEVER did before) with tons of other girls...so now i have my girlfriend of three months nd i KNOW im not gonna leave her, i love her to death....but at my work (i work for a city park so i only have 7 coworkers, including my boss) but yeah, at my work theres these two girls that i talk to more than any others, and i flirt with them like crazy....their both kinda cute, but i couldnt really see myself going out with one of them...but the other one...thats where the confusion starts. so yeah, me and this girl flirt more than anyone else, including my girlfriend...it gets really bad. i know im not going to leave my girlfriend for this girl, but id still like to get to know this girl better and see what happens with that...is that normal? i mean me and this girl really kinda just "clicked" nd it seems to me that she really likes me. she knows that i have a gf, but shes always sayin that that doesnt matter. so the question i pose to anyone willing to answer...is it incredibly wrong to flirt with this girl? i KNOW that theyll never meet eachother because the ONLY way theyd meet eachother is through me, and im not about to let that happen...so is it okay that i keep flirting with the other girl? what should i do? keep in mind id like to hear arguments for both sides, to keep flirting with and to stop....so yeah, thank you sooo much in advance... You are seventeen years old, unless you are determined to marry and settle down with your current girl friend, GO FOR IT. You need to play the bases why you are still young to see what you really want in a relationship. I know this is looking far into the future but lots of young marriages don't work out because one of the party or both have not had enough experiences and they suddenly want to have them before they are committed to only one person for the rest of their lives. If I was you I would go for all three. :) And remember love hurts. You have to go through the mistakes to find the right one for you.

Im 17 and my sister is 13. Since last year she has had alot of problems dealing with her weight and losing friends. She gets picked on at school but she never does anything about it like tell the guidance counselour the boy(s) names. But she does tell the guidance counselour that boy(s) are picking on her. Last year she told the guidance Counselour she was going to kill herself so the counselour called my parents and they brought her to the hospital. Ver since that day my family can't say anything to her. She doesnt really go any where she just sits her ass in front of the computer all day. If you ask her to clean she gets mad at you. if you ask her if she wants to go to the store with you she says no. You tell her you need to use the computer she tells you to go to the library and use theirs. You ask her to go outside with her brother so he can play she tells you to do it yourself. Now all of this sounds stupid but these simple things cause her to flip out and hate us. She recently has started cutting. I have never known anyone that has cut. My sister is proud of cutting. She post away messages about cutting. Who can be proud of this? And she does it because she gets made at us for asking and telling her to do these simple things.
Now my stepdad told me if she didnt feel ike cleaning that i have to do the chores for her because she will hurt herself. Now i know this sounds rude but shes gotten to the point where i think shes doing it for ATTENTION and its driving me nuts. Her daily schedule consist of 1. wake up 2. get on the computer 3. get dressed 4. go to school 5. coming home from school 6. do homework 7. get on the computer till 11pm 8. go to bed(this happens every single day) And if you dont realize this but nothing she does is cleaning or spending time with the family.
She is starting to see a therapist or someone starting this thursday and hope fully this person can help her out.
Sorry if i sound like a mean sister but shes driving me crazy by not helping out. I work and i really cant come home and do all the cleaning at home.

When I was in High School my mother had foster kids. Believe it or not we had a 14 year old gal just like that. She would do the cutting, and then she would say she was going to commit suicide and things of that nature. Real moody too. Eventually she also had to go to counseling and she did end up coming out of it pretty good. And you are right on the attention part, If someone was determined to commit suicide they would do it and get it over with. They would not inform people of this. Sounds like she wants attention and knows no other way to get it. Keep your head up things will get better, she just needs to find something to get her self esteem back up.

you see..im not that experiencd with like kissing and making out. i was just wondering..how do you know when a boy just wants to kiss you and when he wants to makeout? because ive only done both two times. and the last time with this guy we were in the movies and he asked to kiss me and then he kid but his mouth was kind of open....so i was like ok? he wants to makeout? so we kinda did for like 10 seconds..i started it then he stopped and was like noo..i just want to kiss is that alright? and then i felt SOO stupid! i was like ohh yeahh haha thats fine sorry. but i dont know when guys like kind of kiss you with their mouth, if they want to makeout or if they want to kiss. because if i wait for them to make a move and their mouth is open ..do i just kiss them and sit there haha? but what if they wanted me to like make the move and neither of us did and we were just like sitting there kissing for like 10 seconds. ahh im so confused and now very worried for next time!
by the way...ive never had a boyfriend and as you can tell i am not that experienced ..kinda embarassing but oh well!
