I have to do a history project in a group. There are three other people in my group, and two of them are horrible. Not only do they not do any work, their fooling around is totally distracting. The project is due soon and I'm going insane. Any advice on what to do?
Since they're distracting, I would just take the project home and work on it all by yourself and so nobody's distracting you adn you can really focus on it and get it done quicker and be more organized about it.
Then, just put your name on it and in the morning before the projects are due in class, go to the teacher and explain to him/her the situation and how your two partners didn't do anything on the project and ask them if you could just be an individual project then because you've worked so hard on it. ( If there is any, maybe bring somebody from class to act as a sort of witness who can tell the teacher they've seen you working on it, and not the other two ).
If the two partners get mad, just tell them it's not your fault they were too busy with eachother to work on this project. Why should they both get a good grade on something they didn't even do?

But also another approach maybe talk to your teacher on the side, let them know whats going on, if your doing all the work they shouldn't get credit for the project. Don't let them stomp on you. sorry i hoped i helped. [ mexsmiles's advice column | Ask mexsmiles A Question ]
