Find a place, either a desk or a table, away from TV's, radios, phones, or a window, this way you'll stay focus.
Read the material, re-read, and highlight important information. You can color code things such as vocab. words, key terms, and essential dates and facts with different color highlighters.
If its a math problem, check all problems over with a calculator if possible.
Go over work done in class and re-read the chapter of your class book to help review all information your teacher may have pointed out. Begin studying for each test or quiz at least three nights before the actual quiz date.
You're brain remembers things in 5 to 10 minute intervals. So every 10 or so minutes, take a small break. Walk down stairs, get a drink, listen to ONE song, get a quick snack, nothing big, 5 minutes tops. Then go back to studying, this way your brain can focus on one thing at a time.
Also, if you don't, keep an agenda, I suggest purchasing one to help you remember everything.
Make sure to write down all class assignments, when projects are due, and when a test or quiz may come up.
If you would like to go that far, you may look for a tutor. If you choose to take that path, you're teacher or school supervisor can give you the best choices for a tutor.

pinkpong answered Monday September 11 2006, 8:19 pm: i couldnt tell you what your exact grade point average is, however, your grades fall in the 'average' column. i think that the best study advice i could give someone is to just focus. and definetely- if you dont understand what is being taught- to ASK FOR HELP!!!!! i couldnt stress that enough. also, asking each of your teachers about doing extra creadit would be helpful. not all may offer it, but take what you can get. good luck. Volleyball2150 answered Monday September 11 2006, 6:51 pm: A study technic is record yourself saying something ((ex. a math problem with the answer)) when you go to sleep... play that over and over again. So when you wake up.. you'll memorize it
