Well its partly true.Some people can get over the trauma they experienced and move on with there lifes like nothing happened.For others,its not likely for them to forget about it and get over it,it really takes a toll on there lives.For some,they think for example a boy gets sexually abused by a woman and he cant seem to get over it and he starts to think all woman are cruel like that,he cant trust woman anymore and is afraid to get intimate with a girl because of what has happened to him.So he thinks men are nicer and not as cruel,he becomes gay.If you heard of ellen degeneres she was sexually absued by a man and shes gay,it also happened with oprah winfrey but shes straight,it really depends how much it effects people.I hope that answers your question,im sorry it had to happen to your sister!

Its im sure its hard choosing which parent you want to live with because you dont want to hurt either one of them.No one here can really make that decision for you,you just have to decide who your more comfortable with.If you still cant decide,think about all the positives and negatives of living with that parent,which ever you have more postives it might be better to live with that parent.Your parents will love you whomever you decide to live with.
