advice

How would I go about making one of these?

http://myspace-522.vo.llnwd.net/01495/22/55/1495925522_m.gif

I have photoshop. I am just not sure how to do it. I don't know how to do backgrounds or the little pictures (smiley face), I don't know how to cut my self out of the picture that well either. Like, it turns out jagged when I do it.

Any help would be great

The simplest(sp) way is to find all the pictures that you want to layer, in this case it would be:
- background pattern
- a pic of you
- a smilie face
- plane thing(graphics)
- word art
- etc...
Then using photoshop, crop out the photo of you, making that a layer(2).
Then, also using photoshop, put that layer(2) over the background layer(1).
Then using paint or photoshop, put the smilies or graphics(3) that you want but make sure that if you use paint that you have the 'clear' background.
Then, for the words(4), you can find whatever your looking for on the net or make it yourself. Then just paste it on like the smilies or graphics.

Hope this is what you were looking for =]

Today at cheering I got switched to one stunt group to another. So all of a sudden this little immature girl in the group that flys sees that i'm her backspotter and automatically goes "woooah" and turns around, and starts raising her eyebrows and saying something to her other friend thats the front spotter. The front spotter is like "i miss taylor" (the old backspotter) and raises her eyebrows to jen the flyer. This is even before I have started doing the stunt. Well all throughout the stunt i'm doing my best and the two girls just keep whispering. In my head i'm like "OH MY GOSH. DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK I DON'T FLIPPIN' NOTICE YOU?"
So finally i'm so pissed off, after one attempt of saying ever so nicely "if i'm doing something wrong, jsut tell me." So finally I say "You know i can just leave now if you want." and I say it in a pissed off tone. The coach is like "DON'T TALK TO YOUR TEAMMATES LIKE THAT." then she asks what is the problem. I say "I would really appreciate it if they just tell me when i'm doing something wrong so I can be better." My question is do you think I was rude/ a bitch?

You go girl! You definately did the right thing. If you ask me, THEY were the bitches. But next time to avoid the whole 'coach yelling at you' thing, go to the coach before you piss at the other girls, it might just work better for you. I know this because when I was in cheerleading, I was the most hated girl on the team, and everyone wanted me to quit, but just to piss them off without me doing anything (score!) I stayed. Well for a while it was worth it but then they started being even more bitchy to me when it came time to competitions. At that point they wanted me NOT to quit, so I did...ha ha
Sorry about the personal aside but it was to show you that you don't have to piss off at someone to piss them off. Just keep doing your routine and what your supposed to and they shouldn't have any reason to be like that to you. And if they do start being like that, just go to the coach, but not too often because then they'll call you tatletale(SP?) and you don't want that. Hope this is what you were looking for. =]

I like this guy, Jake.

My birthday was this past Friday, and I invited Jake to my party. He said that he could come.

On Weds. or Thurs., he IMs me and says that he can't come. I figured that he got in trouble or something legit had actually come up.

I just found out that he decided not to come so that he could go to Six Flags with a girl that would soon become his girlfriend.

I'm kind of bothered by this, but I'm not sure if I should talk to him about it or not.

If you were in my situtaion, what would you do?

PLEASE TYPE CORRECTLY!!

Well, I'm guessing that you and Jake are friends so if I were you, I would talk to him about it. Just tell him it upset you that he lied to you. Do NOT bring the other girl into this though. Casually say something on the lines of: "I didn't appreciate you lying to me and saying you couldn't come, you could have just told me you were going to six flags, I would've understood".
Based on the fact that your still having birthday parties I'll assume that your still pretty young... After saying that, he's not the only guy in the world so if it doesn't work with this guy, your life is not over.
Hope this is what you were looking for =]

i didn't know what category this goes in , sorry.

but im 14 obviously a girl, and when i have my period it seems like it controls my life for that week, because im so self concious about what i wear and if anyone can see anything

and all the older girls like teens or in their 20s seem like they don't even get their period.

so what im asking is how do you deal with it?
and become comfortable in what you do and what you wear during "that time of month"?

sorry it was so long

You thought your question was long, you should see what some people come up with...
Anyways, your 14 so you've obviously recently gotten your period for the first time in the last couple years. Saying that, there's going to be worries because you're not totally used to it. I'm 16 and I'm still getting used to the whole bleeding for a week thing, and I started when I was 11.
Try not to be self-concious because that can make you're nerves react and change the cycle, totally throwing you off count. Women around the age of 20 have had their periods for many years by then and have become used to it and it becomes a part of their monthly routine. It's not big deal, you'll get the hang of it.
As for what to wear, make sure you wear a darker pair of underwear/pants and jeans or chords (SP?). They make me feel safer because they're so thick and it's harder to leak through. Make sure you always keep a spare, in your locker or something. To clairify, keep a little handbag or something with extra underwear, pads/tampons (whichever you use), and maybe a tide-to-go and some perfume. Well I hope this is what you were looking for and I hope it helps ♥

There is this Jack Black movie where he is a wrestler in Mexico (I think). Can you tell me the name of it? He always seems to be in funny movies.

Thanks a lot! :D

Nacho Libre, very funny movie. Jack Black is a really good actor but this wasn't one of his greater hits.

Okay so my friend and I made videos
and we watch it on windows media player and we put the speed up so our voices sound higher,
but it wont let us save it that way.
How can we save it or how can we make it with it high?

Well doesn't that sound fun...he he
Ok, for an answer. You mentioned you used windows media player, I suggest windows movie maker. You've probobly never heard of this program if your not somewhat of a computer person. Most computers that have Windows have this program. To find it simply go to "my computer", then "local disk (C:)" then go to "program files". In that file you should have a bunch of files, one called "Movie Maker", open it. There should be an icon called "moviemk", open that and the program should open. Here's the link for your computer or internet browser. It's pretty much a shortcut of what I just told you.
C:\Program Files\Movie Maker
As for making and saving it as "chipmink style"...
On the left of the screen there should be a link that's called "Import video". Click on it and a browser should pop up, open your video.
It will take anywhere from 60 seconds depending on the size of the video. Once it's uploaded, it will be in different sections in the top part of the screen. Drag the sections one by one in cronological order in to the "storyboard" at the botton of the screen. Once it's placed, ricght-click each section and in the menu that pops up, select "video effects". That will make a window pop-up. Scroll down to the bottom of that menu and click on "speed up, double", then on "add". Click "ok" and then "save project as". Saving the "project" allows you to edit it later. Once you are absolutely sure you're done, "save movie file", that saves it as a movie.
Sorry if this is confusing, feel free to drop one in my inbox if your confused. Hope this is what you're looking for. =]

I have been telling my sceevy sister for months and months now to stop using my fricken toothbrush! Gosh! I have to get a new one every fricken week because of her! She tells my parents
she didn't use it! But she does! She took it to her stupid sleepover yesterday and now it's gone, so even if i did want to put that sceevy thing back in my mouth, I can't because she left it at her friend's house. The reason she doesn't use her own toothbrush is because she never washes it off so it gets all crusty, so she resorts to my clean toothbrush. I try to tell my mom to tell her to stop but she fricken laughs at me! What should I do? It wouldn't be a big deal if my sister was even a little clean, but we are talking about a girl who takes baths every 4 days and who's hair is so filled with grease it looks like it's wet!

From what I can tell you are very agrevated so I'll do my best. I know that this may take a bit of work on your part but you mentioned that she doesn't use hers because it goes all crusty, well maybe you could take 30 seconds of your time and rinse HERS to make sure it's clean so she doesn't use yours. Also, keep another tooth brush on hand where she can't find it, better yet, doesn't know about it. Maybe this will take some effort but I hope it helps.=]

My little sister has bubble gum in her hair! How do I get it out? Help...soap and water doesn't work...

Ha ha. Thant's funny. Sorry. Anyways, when my little sibblings get gum in their hair we usually use margerine and its comes right out. Getting the margerine out is another story...soap and water works. When they get it on their clothes we put it in the freezer and then pick the most off, then we put it in the washing machine and it usually all comes out. Good luck! =]

Would it wrong to take a nap with your boyfriend or girlfriend? on the sofa or something?

I dont know, for some reason, I dont think my mom would agree. I'm just wondering too, I'm curious, what most parents would think of this?

In my opinion taking a nap on the couch with your boyfriend is perfectly harmless, and it's not as though you guys are doing anything wrong, your sleeping. As for a perent's point of view, depending on if your using blankets it could decieve at first glance that it's only a nap. I suggest that you make sure that it looks exectly like what it is; a nap. Then it should be fine.:]♥

I'll rate a pathetic little (1) to whoever advices me, "Tell your parents!"
Okay, first of all, my best friend gave me a kitten when her cat gave birth to a healthy litter of 4. The little kitten is a female and she is just SO cute.
My mother has allergies, so she won't let me have any cat or dog. My father hates the smell of any animal... so my sisters and I have been keeping it a secret. We have a babysitting job so we can buy cat food, litter box, blah blah... We loved having the first kitten so we got another 2. It went well for two weeks.
We've been keeping them in the backyard, hidden in the space under the deck.
They got fleas. What would be a good way to get rid of them besides going to the vet?? I think I need my parents to go to the vet so I don;t want to...
Plus, we haven't named this black kitty yet. Give me a good name for him, please! Thanks!!

Love y'all!!

Considering that it's getting colder because it's winter I don't think you should keep them under your deck. You say your parents are allergic, then you might want to either donate them to a shelter who can find nice homes for them or to a friend, at least for the winter. As for the flea problems, I say you take them to the vet or a pet store for help, especially because they are newly born.
And a name for the cute little black kitty, I'd call it "midnight" or "gato"(cat in spanish).
Hope this helps.♥

Im getting a filling tomorrow for a cavity!! Im really scared. Does it hurt?

In short, it will not hurt. The only times where you might have instantanious pain is when they numb your gums and when they "push in" the filling itself. Other than that it's pretty harmless.

This is adressed to girls...
What do you think us guys mean when we say things like "I just want to be friends". I'm asking because my best-friend, a girl, told me she loved me, but I don't lover her, i like her as mayeb more than a friend, but i don't totally love her. Back to the point, I'm as king because that's what I told her and she seems to not want to be my friend at all anymore. Do you girls see that comment as a "leave me alone for a while" comment? Anyways, a little help plz.

When a guy tells me "I just want to be friends" depending on the guy, I interpret it like it's said, he just wants to be friends.
Considering that she's your best-friend she should think the same way but like you said, she isn't talking to you. It's probobly that she needs some time to coop with the fact that the man she loves doesn't love her. Just give her about a couple days and if she doesn't come around, talk to her. Start acting like her friend again and being there for her when she needs it most.
As you said in your question you like her more than a friend but not quite love her, do NOT tell her this until you've totally figured it out and know for sure because this will all happen again and that's not good because a girl can only take so much.
I know I sort of went off topic but this needed a resolution and not just a "what do you think it means" answer.
Hope this helps.♥

This is so frustrating. Here's the deal:

I'm currently in a play. The lead, we'll call him Luke or something, is absoutely gourgous. Whenever we finish a performance, girls always flock to him. But you see, he has a girlfriend in the cast of 5 months. In order to speak to him, you need to gain her respect so she can approve of you. You see, it's really intimidating and hard to talk to him.

We're kinda friends, but I don't talk to him that much. We're acquaintances or whatever. Well, today I got really sick, and laid down and closed my eyes. It was during performance, so I sat out. A friend or two came in and asked me how I was doing after they left the stage. They sometimes would pat my shoulder then leave to change for the next scene. Well Luke came into the room, and I thought he was just going to ask how I was doing and then rush out. (you see, he is the lead, so he's always moving around) But instead, he asked how I was doing, then he bent down to my level and held onto my arm and kissed my cheek. The whole time, my eyes were closed so I had NO CLUE what was going on.

So... WHAT IS GOING ON?!
I'm going to see him and his girlfriend, for another month. What should I do? And was is just a friendly kiss or more?

From what I can tell, he definately cares for you. Not too many guys would do that if they didn't. As for the kiss and it's meaning, your guess is a good as mine. Perhaps you should as him aside from everyone, out of earshot but in view so there is no rumors or jelousy going on and just ask him what it meant, but make sure you ask in a casual way or it may get awkward.
Hope this helps. ♥

How do you make gingerbread men houses without the kit? [please, include every step, every detail, every ingredient, etc.]

&

What's a good recipe for soft chocolate chip cookies?

-You don't have to give both, but if you want, you can =)

please help!! asap.

Thanks in advance..

-Jam

Since you've already got an answer for the chocolate chip cookies I'll give you one for gingerbread men/houses...

Gingerbread Men:
3 cups (420 grams) all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated white sugar
1 large egg
2/3 cup (160 ml) unsulphured molasses
Note: To prevent the molasses from sticking to the measuring cup, first spray the cup with a non stick vegetable spray (like Pam).

Confectioners Frosting:
2 cups (230 grams) confectioners sugar (icing or powdered sugar), sifted
1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 tablespoons milk or light cream
Assorted food colors (if desired)

Gingerbread Men: In a large bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and spices. Set aside.
In the bowl of your electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and molasses and beat until well combined. Gradually add the flour mixture beating until incorporated.
Divide the dough in half, and wrap each half in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside while you roll out the dough.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Use a gingerbread cutter to cut out the cookies. With an offset spatula lift the cut out cookies onto the baking sheet, placing the cookies about 1 inch (2.54 cm) apart. If you are hanging the cookies or using as gift tags, make a hole at the top of the cookies with a straw or end of a wooden skewer.
Bake for about 8 - 12 minutes depending on the size of the cookies. Small ones will take about 8 minutes, larger cookies will take about 12 minutes. They are done when they are firm and the edges are just beginning to brown.
Remove the cookies from the oven and cool on the baking sheet for about 1 minutes. When they are firm enough to move, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
If desired, you can press raisins, currants, or candies into the dough for eyes and buttons while the cookies are still warm. Otherwise, confectioners frosting can be used to decorate the cookies. You can also use the icing as a glue to attach candies, raisins, and sprinkles.

Confectioners Frosting: In an electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), cream the butter until smooth and well blended. Add the vanilla extract. With the mixer on low speed, gradually beat in the sugar. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beater. Add the milk and beat on high speed until frosting is light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes). Add a little more milk if too dry. Place the frosting in a pastry bag fitted with a decorative tip and decorate the gingerbread men as desired.
Tint portions of frosting with desired food color (I use the paste food coloring that is available at cake decorating stores and party stores).
Makes about 3 dozen cookies depending on the size of cookie cutter used.
Store in an airtight container.

taken from: http://www.joyofbaking.com/GingerbreadMen.html

as for making the houses...

Using the dimensions in the "Gingerbread House Drawing" (see site at bottom), cut out paper patterns for the walls, roof and chimney, and set aside.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars. Beat in the molasses and eggs. In another large bowl, sift dry ingredients. Combine mixtures and knead into a smooth ball. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
On a well-floured surface, roll out a small amount of the dough until it is 1/4 inch thick. Place one of the paper pattern pieces on the dough and cut around the edges. Gently, using the spatula, lift the dough and place it on the foil-lined, prepared cookie sheet.
Put all scraps into a bowl and cover. Save these for the kids to play with, or to make gingerbread men.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly firm. Let cool on racks until firm enough to handle. Peel the foil off the sections and set the pieces aside to dry thoroughly overnight.
To make windows and the door: Cut out a rectangle for the door and squares for the windows from the appropriate side. Cut the window in half to make shutters. If you're feeling ambitious, fill the empty windows with crushed lifesavers to form "stained glass" windows. Or, instead of actually cutting out the door and window(s), just score them and decorate appropriately for a closed-door effect.
To make the chimney: Cut out a rectangle big enough to hold all pieces of the chimney. When the baked dough is still warm and soft, lay the patterns on top and cut out the pieces.

The Assembly

Pipe out the icing on the bottom and one end of one long wall and one short, put them together at a 90-degree angle, and hold them in place on cardboard with cans. Repeat with the remaining two walls, running a line of icing glue along the corners so that all the walls are glued together. Again hold walls in place until icing is dry. Let the roofless house dry at least 30 minutes until the icing is firmly set.
Run a thick line of icing along one long side of a roof piece. Stick the two roof sections together at an angle and set the two pieces on top of the house. Make sure that the roof overhang is the same at both ends of the house, although it is okay if it isn't perfect. Hold the roof gently in place until it dries (the pop cans should be the right height to support them). Let dry for half an hour.
While the roof is drying, attach the door to the doorway by running a line of icing glue down one side and along the base. Make sure the door is open wide enough to slide a small glow stick inside later (so you can appreciate the stained glass windows).
To attach the chimney, on one side of the roof near the peak, glue one angled piece to the roof. Glue the largest rectangle to the angled piece and then glue the second angled piece in place. Last, glue the smallest rectangle to the other sections. Hide any mistakes under a "snow" of icing.
If the pieces aren't exactly even and don't come together with exact precision, don't worry. Major differences can be filed down and smoothed out with sandpaper, and the Royal Icing can act as a filler.
Let the house dry until completely solid, preferably overnight. Then you can decorate with a variety of candies in any way you like! And you're guaranteed to have fun!

Well I'm having my girlfriend come over for diner next saturday and I know she really likes curry so any ideas on what I can cook for her, I really want to impress her so preferably something simple would be nice.
(PS: she's allergic to nuts)
Thanks in advance.

Well her is a link to a site with many recipes with curry: http://www.dairygoodness.ca/en/Consumers/search/GlobalSearch.htm?keyword=curry

Here is one of my favourite meals made with curry:

Pork Tenderloin Medallions with Mango Curry Cream

Serves: 4
Preperation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
This flavourful dish is quick and easy to prepare for guests on a busy day and one you¢??ll be proud to serve. Accompany with steamed Basmati or Jasmine rice, tender-crisp green beans and salad.

1 lb pork tenderloin 500 g
2 tbsp Butter, divided 30 mL
2 cloves garlic, minced 2
1 small onion, finely chopped 1
1 tbsp yellow curry paste or powder 15 mL
1 cup 35% whipping Cream 250 mL
1/3 cup mango chutney 75 mL
1/2 cup plain yogurt 125 mL

Preparation:

Cut pork tenderloin crosswise into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick medallions. In large skillet, melt half of Butter over medium-high heat. Brown pork medallions, turning once, for about 2 min per side; transfer to plate. Reduce heat to medium-low and add remaining Butter to skillet. Add garlic, onion and curry; cook, stirring, for about 3 min or until softened.

Pour in Cream and mango chutney and bring to boil, stirring and scraping up any bits stuck to pan. Boil gently until slightly reduced, about 3 min. Return pork to skillet with any accumulated juices and turn to coat. Simmer for about 2 min or until just a hint of pink remains in pork. Serve with a dollop of yogurt.

okay this is going to be kinda long to jsut bear with me. Me and my best friend have been messing around with this boy i like for the longest time. We have stuck notes in his locker....and money. My friend made him a myspace and ws tlkaing to all of his frends and then he found out it was us. ALL OF IT. Then we decided to try to see if we could get close enought o get a pictures of him...well he kinda saw us with that one to. Now we have found out that he has a myspace but it is set to private so we made up this girl named brooke and invited him. I was only wanting to see his profile but my friend want to talk to him so that is exactly what she did. NOw we have his aim...his phone number and we know where he lives.THe only problem is he has told us bunch of personal stuff and his dad just died and he is really close to brooke. he is telling her that he love her. I've talked to him a little over the internet as brooke but now everytime i think about it i relize how worng it is and i want out of the whole situation but the only thing is that no matter what i do i'll still hear about what they talked about over the internet from my friend and that makes me interested in what he says but i know that IF he ever finds out it was really me and her it would kill him. I don't know what to do because even if i haven't done hardly anyhting my name is still in it and my freind would probably make sure that it is because she doesn't want it dumped all on her .....which it really isd ALL her. HELP!!

You've mentioned many time's in your story that you know it's wrong so you should stop, and not just because you like him. Besides, your just helping him to fall for someone who's not you. In reality it is you, which makes this situation on your side, but you MUST stop. You need to tell him that "Brooke" is not a real person, but that you are the person behind "Brooke".If he starts to blame you for leading him onto someone who and that's not real you can tell him that he said he loved "Brooke", but she is really YOU, which means that in reality he does like you. Also, you must not lie to him on this "Brooke" because other wise this whole appoligy plan goes to the dust. As long as you havn't told him anything that isn't about you then it's all good. But you need to make sure everyone stops with this "Brooke", EVERYONE! and you should probobly delete the myspace.
Good luck with all this. ♥

Ok so I've got a new webcam, but no idea what pictures to take. I see people take cute random pictures all the time, but I don't usually have the props to do those, I can't think of any good facial expressions because I hate my teeth. I only take pictures when my parents are gone because they don't know I have the webcam so I can do pretty much whatever (unless it's too sexual looking) What kind of pictures should I take, what captions should I put under them?

*~Creativly challenged~*

Depending what you are going to use the pictures for I suggest you use different angles. Here are a few links to check out for some ideas (i don't know any of the ppl, i just surfed the net).

I had this dream.. i kinda forget alot what happened but i remember i was in this house and played like a video game, and then i was stuck in the game and couldnt get out until i beat it. i forget all what happened in the game and such, but after i was with this boy.. like my cousin or something, and we had this like attraction to each other and brought each other closer and closer.. and i wrapped my arms around him, and we were soo close to kissing, but we didnt.. after that i was so caught in the moment i felt like tense or something, lol. but yeah.. does anyone know the meaning of this??

What I think about your dream is that you were in a way fantasising about this boy and your mind is either telling you to go for it or telling to move on, depending on how you wish to interpret the "almost kissing" part.
On another note, here is a site that I personnaly checked out and it seemed pretty good for this kind of thing. There are discussion rooms, and keyword + category searches.
http://www.dreammoods.com/
Here are some quotes from the site that may apply to your dream:
- "Emotions expressed in dreams is a way for people to act out their feelings which they would not normally express if they were awake".
- "If the dream ends just about you are about to kiss someone, indicates that you are unsure of how he or she really feels about you. You are looking for some sort of relationship with this person but you are not sure about how to go about achieving it".
- "If you are kissing a close friend, then it represents your respect and adoration for your friend. You are seeking some intimate closeness that is lacking in some waking relationship. It may or may not signify a romantic interest for him or her".
Hope this helps. ♥
