Q: This question is for people who have either been through college, enrolled in college, or are very experienced with it.
Is it better to have mediocre grades and all honors classes or good grades (A's and B's) with mostly standard classes (and one honors class)?
I'm asking this because I'm a high school freshman hoping go to Stanford to major in psychology, and I wanted to know which looks better. Thank you so much!

most colleges [from what i've read] look for devoted students. one's who really try in school and push themselves in what they do. the honors classes are obviously a plus to colleges. if you could take atleast 3 honors classes that'd be great. honors classes aren't very hard either, it's just at a faster pace, and sometimes you have more work. just set your mind to it. oh, another thing colleges like is extra-curricular activities. not too many though, they aren't usually attracted to over-achievers as it had been proven that they are stretched out too much in all different areas and also can become depressed at times. colleges like well- rounded people. you dont have to be best. wow, sorry. i was rambling a bit there. but, i hope you get the drift! lol. if you need help, here's an AMAZING website for colleges and help in the college process, it can also help you in your scholarship forms too. :

well, when choosing the right job for you, you have to consider all the possibilities,set-backs,and most importantly what you enjoy doing. If you're willing to work hard for where you want to go and there isn't anything holding you back [like going to a college that'd cost a lot of money] then you're golden. you can do just about anything. but the key, it's finding something you have a passion for. not something you like doing because its easy...something you enjoy doing, no matter the level of difficulty. well, my sister is going to school to become a hair dresser. There are these things that look like scissors but aren't. they're called thinning sheers. They don't cut any length off of your hair- all they do is thin it out. you could ask for a hairdresser to do that for you. =D they work very well too.

Q: my fucking mom treats me like im still 7. my siter is 9 and every friday and saturday night they go out to eat. im fucking 14 years old so why the hell do they think i want to spend my friday and saturday nights EVERY weekend at a gay restaurant with my parents and my mom and sister dont get along so i end up having to listen to them fight.
im at the age where i can go out with my friends and i can stay home alone, i dont need to go everywhere with my parents. i scream at them and tell them how much i hate being with them and they never let me go anywhere with my friends. i dont have any fun
once again on a friday night my parents a sister are going out to eat, and they said i HAVE to go. but i went LAST week and the week before that and the week before that. its a fucking friday night i want my friend to come over but NOOOOO my mom has to be gay and say "o ur going out to eat you cant stay home alone with your friend"
how can they expect me to go everywhere with them????
i need major advice. i cant deal with this shit and watch all of my other friends have fun without me

Take this for granted. Seriously, I would give anything for my parents to do that with me. @least you have parents who care enough every week or so to go out with you 2 and eat. My mom, she doesnt. Ever since my dad died. Be greatful for what you have and who you have. I know you may want to be going out. take the time to tell her that, not yell at her because it wont get you anywhere. it'll just make her think that you're not mature enough because you seem to want to get your way through arguing. good luck.

Q: ok, so recently, something happened and my friend is acting really mean about it! like, in the stalls of one of the bathrooms, someone made a "bitch list" and like me and a few of my friends are on it. not the point; my friend said that one of her other friends crossed out her name for her, and she was like rubbing it my face! she's like "yea ______ crossed off my name but (points to me) you and ______ are still on it!" and smiles and i was like "Jee thanks, bitch!" ugh. and she is always tlaking about this show that i totally hate! well i don't hate it but like it's so stupid! every night when it's on, she's like _______ is on tonight! watch it!" ughh can u please help me because she is one of my close friends and she is always asking me if i am mad at her and now i am!

Okay, if you dont like the show, just tell her. I mean not everyone is going to like the same shows, people different point of views on things, and if she cant accept that you dont like the show, than what kind of friend is she? I mean its just a show. and about the stall, there are plenty of reasons why you didnt cross it out, (its vandelism) and you maybe didnt have a pen or marker at the time? what ever the reason is or if there isnt a reason at all, just talk it out fully with her.I mean what next, is she going to hold you responsible for making the list? seriously, she cant control if you cross out the name or not, just let nature take its course, this will blow over in a little while.

Q: im grounded....not allowed to do anything, just recently quite doing drugs and all that bad shit. Q: My boyfriend's parents just don't like me and I can't figure out why! I don't smoke, drink, or do anything like that. I'm in college with a 4.0 GPA for Journalism and Communications and I do lots of volunteer work. What's not to like?!? Q: I just got my report card this past friday. It said that my grade point average is 3.95 which is really good. but when i started look at what i got (A A-) it said I had straight A's, A-'s A+'s and I was confused. I get to see my grade a week before they come out, and my science teacher said i was getting a B- then, on the report card it said A+...i don't understand that..can someone explain?

Q: I think I have sort of created some sort of irreversible obsession over my best friend. I'ts not that I cant live with out her. Q: lastnite i was on the fone with my boyfriend and my mom kept coming in saying she needs the phone and i wouldn't get off cause my boyfriend and i were in the middle of a conversation. So... she took my cell phone which in this case my dad bought for me (parents are split up) and i pay for monthly and she only did it to waste my minutes. so when i got off the phone i walked into the living room and there she was on the couch talking on my phone and i got pretty pissed off about it. So... i tried grabbing it from her and told her to give me my damn phone but she pushed me away and slapped my arm and then she finally got off but she wouldn't give it to me and she went and got the home phone so again i tried grabbing for my cell phone and she pushed me into the wall and started choking me and cussing at me and so i called her a fucking bitch and she pushed me onto the couch and punched me in the chest and in the face and slapped me across the face and kept saying what did you just call me and i tried kicking her off me and then i finally got her off me and she goes to my stepdad you wanted her here then you can stay with her and she left..... thats just the background... but my question is what am i supposed to do, I have a HUGE mark on my neck from where she was choking me and now i have worse breathing problems (i have asthma pretty bad) i mean like should i call the poilce or should i call child services i have no idea what to do!!
