hey i know everyones hair tends to fall out in the shower, when they brush it whatever, but i think i may have a more serious problem. Lately my hair as been falling out a noticably greater amount. i don't even have to touch it and with in 5 minutes there will be strands of unattached hair on my shirt, i wipe them away 5 minutes later new hair falls out. There is also an excessive amount that falls off in the shower. I also have noticed that my eyelashes are falling out alot.
is there anything i can do to stranghten my hair or something????
I plan to get my hair cut soon only about 2 or 3 inches though so idk if that will do anything??
oh and i have long, straight, thin (not horribly thin) blonde hair 16/f

you might want to get a blood test to see if you have a thyroid problem, because you do lose a lot of hair if you have it.

I'm a 15/f and I hate talking on the phone. I get really stressed out when I have to arrange a tutoring date with my tutor (who's an old man) I just CANNOT talk on the phone with ANYONE. I like it better on the computer where I can't see their face nor hear their voice. I get stressed out in social situations such as sleepovers, parties (especially PARTIES...I start to FREAK out) I just dislike them. I get extremely scared. I don't know WHY though. And whenever I have to talk to a teacher about my grade, I'd just rather not and I'd rather just fail a test or something. I CANNOT get over this. I always have a feeling that I'm being watched and that people are making fun of me.
What can I do?? D: GAH!!

if you have this seriousness of a problem, you should probably go to a psychiatrist, and possibly get an anxiety medicine, they helped wonders for my friend. good luck

14/f (please read whole thing)
So I've lost about 32 pounds of my weight, and now I'm 155(i'm 5'2 and a quarter"), my goal is 137 (18 pounds left), and I'm doing really well this is what I do:

I normally consume around 1200-1350(or 1500) cals per day, but sometimes i take it up to about 1800 if i'm pmsing or something. I also work out whenever I can, i run a mile(and walk until it adds up to 20 mins) and i do the stairclimber for 20 mins and sometimes i'll add 20 mins of elliptical in, and then i just do random conditioning on the machines (about 20 reps of each)... and i do that on the days i don't have dance classes (and my dance classes don't start again until 3 more weeks so i'll probably be doing this every day or about 4 times per week)

Normally I've been able to lose a pound or two a day (i weigh myself first thing in the morning)

and I want to know how long you think it will take me to lose the rest of the 18 pounds...
(after i lose that i'll see how i look at 137 then i'll decide if i want to take it down to 115-130)
since I don't have a definate calorie deficit because it varies so much.

k well imnot surre to your questionn, but can you like send me a message, cos i want to know how you lost the weight, plss, i wanna lose weight.

I'm 14/f, and want to tone my thighs/abs for the summer. Since I don't exercise that much, I thought maybe I could start walking.

Does walking burn a lot of calories? I'm not lazy, but I don't want to waste all that time walking if it wont work, when I could be doing something else instead. How long should I walk for each day to make a difference? Thanks ;D

k walking is great, but just a slow paced walk wont do much at all, you should like walk quick, like as fast as you can without like jogging so like a speed walk, that will work, not just like a stroll in the park walk.

I would like to loose 15 pounds before my graduation, if i only drink water and don't eat anything will it make me loose wait or just make me gain it?

k heres the truth.

when people become anorexic, the do lose weight.
because since the body isint getting any nutrition it sucks up your fat and uses it to keep going, it happened to me, but not because i was anorexic, i was a diabetic and it was like i wasnt eating.

so i lost like 30 pounds, but then like once you eat like the littlest thing youll gain the weight all back.

so i would reccomend not doing that and just lose weight the healthy weigh, eating good, drinking water, exercizing and youll be healthier.

i've been doing ab workouts since january everyday, or every other day sometimes. i do crunches, lemon squeezes, alot. i'm not fat but i have a goal of having a flat stomach, like alot of people i have like a litlte pudge. it may have something to do with my height im like 5'3-5'4, and i have that little pudge that i just hate.

k what your doingis great, but its only gonna get you muscle underneath, like if you have fat on your stomach, you wont see much of a difference.

you need to do cardio, so maybe run for like 20 minutes or someething then do your ab workouts.

Ok im 16. Had my period since August of 04 and it has always been regular and on time, give or take a few days. Its been late on 1 occasion last year due to stressing about something but thats not the case this time. I have not been stressing at all about anything recently, my diet hasnt changed, ive not been sexually active.

Well now it is late, it was due around April 27th.

This may sound insane, but please dont judge..
Im starting to worry because im making myself think im going through early menopause or something because i keep gettings like hot flushes and stuff and i dont know.. i guess i could just be being stupid.. but it is not uncommon for this to happen.

But what are the chances of that happening? like.. the odds of it or something.. idk..

yeaa yyou should go to the doctors, theylldo like a [what you get when your pregnant] i forgot what theyre called to see your ovaries and uterus and stuff. you could have like an assist, so yea.

but if its only been one month dont worry so much.

I'm about 5'3" and i weigh 86 pounds. I am not anorexic or bullemic, I eat a lot and eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday (unless i wake up late and miss breakfast) but I have a fast metabolism so it doesn't really do anything. I really want to be on the school gymnastics team but you have to be atleast 90-100 pounds. Does anybody have any helpful hints or advice that i could use to gain weight? Thanks so much!!

try alot of carbs, like eat pasta and bread alot.
&like try to gain muscle, it weighs more than fat and itll help you with gymnastic.

so like maybe go to the gym and ask them how to gain muscle.

i dont have a problem not eating fat foods..its hard for me but its working out i dont know what to do. i want to slim my thighs and waist. is their some good exercies that i can do anytime during the day that will work fast if i do them daily?

well the best thing is cardio, it will help you lose fat.
-running, works really well but if you dont want to run DDR worked wonders for me, its really fun too.

-then after you do some cardio you can do like crunches and squats and things like that.

-theyll help but they dont work well alone so do like 30-40 minutes of cardio and increase it daily and do maybe 20 squats and 30 crunches and increase them daily.

I'm really skinney but I have like so much fat in my legs so I'm like a pladapus but noone knows because I wear jeans so..it hides it. I want to thin my legs so I can wear a skirt. Thanks!

well running will help you lose the fat, so will any other cardio [jumping rope] works well, and so does ddr and its fun.

after you do some cardio and lose the fat, you can tone your legs, leg lifts, squats, lunges, things like that.

How do you keep your shoes from being smelly? I wear flats and tennis shoes and they always seem to get an odor becasue of the cloth/cotton, but i always wash my feet and wear clean pairs of socks..i heard about baking soda but that gets messy and i dont want to ruin my shoes... what do i do?

at like a sports store they have sprays, i got one for my basketball shoes, it helps alot.

also they have like these little balls, that you like twist them and leave them in your shoes when your not wearing them and it keeps them fresh..

Hey I have so many cases of skin issues and every question I asked on here there's always a "go see a dermatoligist".
I want to but isn't that like having another doctor and thne I'd have to pay? I don't have a lot of money and I live with my dad so it's kinda embarrassing bringing him with me if I got an appointment. And I don't know where to find one. Money is a serious issue for me!

well your dad can just wait outside but tell him, because he can find one, like if its covered by your insurance it can only be like 20$ to go.
so you should just go and ask him, i'm sure hell be happy to take you and you can just ask him kindly to wait in the waiting room.

what is the quickest and easiest way to lose about 15 pounds besides diet pills?

dont become anorexic or anything like that.

simply eat healthier and workout.
ddr, if you have it is really fun and helps alot.
drink alot more water, it helps alot too, try not to drink too much soda but you can have some if you want.
eat less junk.
and yea workout, you can run, walk, anything.

13/f 5'4.im underweight and overweight in different places.overweight mainly.just because of my stomach.my arms are wayy small i cant even lift 15.but i can lift 100 with my legs there big.and my lower stomach is all fat its discusting.i hate my body.i cant turn my arm since i broke it and they said it was but they couldnt find where so they didnt do anything for it AND IT WAS BROKE so now i cant move it im guna start therapy soon.i can do sit ups and running and i canot do pull ups push ups.what exercises could i do for my fat stomach and hurt tiny weak arms.and does any have the weight chart or wat ever you call it the weights for hights and everything.and i need to know exercises~help mee~

well contine what your doing but like for your arms, lift weights when your arm gets better.
you dont have to start with alot, the gym i go to has 1 pound weights so just work your weight up.
