A woman that I used to be friends with is causing problems for me. Well she was a complete bitch to me. She used me, backstabbed me, blackmailed me, tried to control me, and even broke into my email. She made my life a living hell. It got so bad between us that I had to quit working at my old job that we both worked at to avoid her, and I had to put a block on my phone.
Well it's been two years since I've seen her or spoken to her. I got a new job about 3 months ago at a way better company. It got back to me from another friend that she found out I got this new job and wanted the store number! She was also asking one of my friends when my hours were. I'm worried she is plotting something. Should I be worried? (link)

My mum used to know someone similar to this. Luckily she lived a long way away soit was easier to break contact. Get a restraining order and tell the people at work, make sure they know what's going on. Take whatever measures you need to in order to make sure you don't see this woman.

Hello, I've looked up Limewire and everything I've read says it's legal. But I still can't help but wonder...

Limewire's legal. It's the stuff you get from it that's illegal. Even if you start downloading illegal files it's unlikely you'll get caught. It's like swimming in a shoal of fish, there are so many fish the shark's not likely to eat you.

i just got an mp3 player and i downloaded limewire. does anybody know how to upload the songs i downloaded off of limewire onto my mp3 player.

It depends on your mp3 player. There should be an option somewhere in the software that came with your mp3 player to import a music file. Do that, find the file and it should work. Let me know if you have trouble, i'll see if I can be any more help.

i have adaware i and run scans about everyday and at the status.. it says open quarintine list and i have a little over 1000 ..so if i delete them all.. would they mess up my computer.. do you think itll be a good idea? suggestions please (link)

The quarentine list is all the adware/spyware that ad aware has found. I'm not sure whether it's doing any harm there but deleting it won't hurt either.

Im currently in a psychaitric institution, this is my 5th month now.
I am being evaluated for asperger syndrom , can anyone give me any hints on what this is; the _symptoms_, the prognosises etc.?

Asperger syndrome is a mild condition on the autistic spectrum. People with aspergers usually have difficulty with social situations. Often a people with aspergers have a subject that they are very interested in and know a lot about (I used to know someone who I think had it that could talk at length about cockroaches). People with aspergers often have poor motor skills, making it difficult for them to play sports. Some people with aspergers get very anxious about things that others would just shrug off.
As for a prognosis, it's not something that can be cured. However aspergers isn't a major hinderance. You'll probably be able to function in society just as well as a person who doesn't have it. Some very successful people are suspected of having aspergers (a lot of people think einstein had it).

this is my second computer that i have and my dad will not buy me another. okay so heres the deal. my computer probably has spyware and i dont know how to get rid of it. i have ad-aware SE and i use it ALL the time but yet it still doesnt get the junk away. im getting scared cause i dont want to lose computer. does anyone no what i can do to have my computer work better and that i dont have a messed up internet?

Download spybot search and destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html). It sometimes picks things up that ad-aware misses. If you have any more problems let me know and i'll see if I can help.

ok my dad does weed and i just know my mom does it too. and well they are always saying how much they hate people that do drugs and here they do it. well i hear that if your parents smoke and stuff well the kids are liable to start and well i smoke ciggaretts and my parents dont know about it. my point is will i start doing drugs since they do? an help will work thanks jennie (link)

Celerons are basically cheap, low performance pentiums. If you're looking for a powerful computer then avoid them. If you're just looking for a machine to do word processing and run applications that don't need much power then get one.
Athlons tend to run faster than pentiums. I'm afraid I can't remember the link, but in a recent test athlons out performed pentiums in every catagory.
I personally have a Pentium 4 running at 3 GHZ. It's still fairly current and does everything I need it to (plays the latest games and does word processing).

Im 15 female
A lot of my friends like to drink and smoke pot. I don't like it. I had my fun with that already, I smoked pot when i was in 6th grade and stoped when i saw my brother get locked up for it. Yeah and i had my experience with alcohol i drank and i puked my guts up and now i wont ever drink again. well at least not til im old enough. But anyway my friends are always drink like on the weekends and they always ask me to go but i just go to my boyfriends house and hang out and what not. I always find my self thinking that im better than that and i don't want to ruin my life with that stuff.
Is this normal because i always thought that teenagers will like to drink and get in trouble and just do bad stuff just to make a laugh? Am i abnormal? (link)

I know quite a few of teenagers who drink and smoke weed. I also know quite a few who don't. It's up to you whether you do or don't, neither choice makes you normal or abnormal.

My dad wants me to start making him a website for his buisness. I know HTML, but not enough to make a whole website from scratch. So I need to know, what web-hosts practically have the website done for you? Just so that I can do limited html and all I have to do is add in some text/pictures and I'm done. The only one that I know about is yahoo. You don't need much html knowlege to use it. Alternatively you could try using a program like frontpage or dreamweaver to make the site. These programs are a bit pricey though.

My ex-best friend Maggie is such a jerk!!
We had a fight and decided not to be friends anymore, because she totally used me to come over to my (big) house, swim in my (inground) pool, and just get away from her own house. i have proof that she did that too - cuz one time i got sick when she was over and she swam and hung out with my little bro & sis all day while i was up in bed throwing up!!!!
Now she is telling everyone rumours about me and being such a brat. she told everyone on our bus who i like. she told him too. she told everyone all the secrets i used to tell her..even the old ones. i want to get back at her..but i don't. i mean, i'm sort of the girl that NEVER does anything mean and people even call me a goody goody or whatever.
i am really fed up with maggie! what should i do to get her to stop making up things about me and telling all my secrets! i could tell all of her secrets to everyone..but to tell you the truth i actually don't know any (it was sort of a one sided relationship..i cared about her but she didnt give a crap about me)

This probably won't be easy, but try not to let it get to you. Eventually she'll probably get bored and go away. If it gets really out of hand then tell someone (a parent or teacher). Trying to get back at her will only make things worse.

Okay.. Me an this girl have been friends since like the 6th grade and now we are freshman. Well at the beginning of the school year she got caught taking pills along with some other kids. Well every since then she has been hanging out with these other people that are wrong for her. So now she does crack, weed, sniffs muscle relaxers && drinks. I try an talk to her but all she does it cuss me out. She says this is the happiest shes been in awhile, and that she likes doing it. She says shes tired of me acting like a "perfect christian" thats it's p'ing her off. She also said that if i told anyone that she was gonna beat my butt. She parties every weekend and even on the weekdays. I don't know what to say to her anymore about it. I want to help her so much. But I dunno what to do. Please help me. (link)

You could try talking to someone about it but it sounds like it won't help too much. I appreciate that you want to help her but if she doesn't want to be helped then you're not going to do much good. You could try talking to her over a drink like vic said but other than that there's not much that can be done. If you want then you could go to an adult but like I said, to get help she needs to want to be helped (and it certianly won't do wonders for your friendship)

heya! my dad deleted and blocked msn when i took an overdose thinking it was why i took it but it wasnt, but yeah thats not the point lol. its been about 10 months now, yeah because it was new year. well everything to do with chat is blocked by Norton Internet Security Professional and because im not the adminastrator to the computer i can't get it back off my account, if i were on my dads account how could i make myself adminastrtor to get it back and while on his account find out his password so i could go back so when i have downloaded it i can take myself off admin, OR how would i go to the Norton Internet Security Professional thingy and unblock chat??? sorry if i confused u at all! thanks for any replies! xxx (link)

If I were you I'd ask your dad first. If he says no then you could use a web based messenger like the last person said. Alternatively go to www.trillian.cc and download trillian. It lets you connect to msn, aim, yahoo, icq and irc.

On the computer in my room i forgot my password to get on. When you first turn the computer on and it says pick a user well i only have one user because its my computer and no one else goes on it well a couple of days ago i changed my password and i thought i put it to something i would remember. but i had to restart my computer and i went to put in my password and i cant remember it. Is there anything i can do about this? or is my computer useless until i figure out my password? (link)

You might be able to get in through safe mode. To get to safemode press F8 repeatedly when the computer's booting up and select safe mode if it asks. Once in safe mode there'll probably be an account called administrator. If there is then use that. See if you can change your password now. Ifthat doesn't work re-format and re-install windows. I'm sorry I can't be more help but I've never had this problem before.

A few days ago I was at my boyfriend's house. We were in the living room and he turned to me and said "I think I can smell marijuana". (He knows the smell because his sister did it once when she was in highschool) So he concluded that his mother must be doing it since he had found a bag of it in her drawer two years ago. He also added that one of her workers comes over to drink and then spends the night. He believes that the guy who spends the night is her "supplier." The next day when she was gone, he went into her room and looked into the drawer where she had kept it two years ago. Sure enough he found some. We both do not condone drugs and I asked him to talk to her about it. He did not want to do that. So we decided the next best thing to do would be to throw it away. So we did that. Then today I asked him if she's still doing it. And he said he didnt know and decided to check her drawer. He found another bag that she had gone out and bought. Finally, he decided to confront her but she was not home. So we went over to my house and then I get a call on my home phone from his mother. She started asking him if he looked through her drawers to which he said yes. And she said "Well where is my stuff!" And then he said she shouldnt be doing it and hung up on her. Now he is at home but she is sleeping. And I was wondering what the BEST possible solution of dealing with this is? And should he keep letting her do it even if he doesnt like it? Or should he get her help or try to stop her from doing it? Please answer this urgently. Thanks. (link)

First off getting rid of her stash probably wasn't the best thing to do, it'll just annoy her and it sounds like she's got the money to get more. Your boyfriend should sit down and tell his mum how he feels about it. She probably won't stop doing it but she might stop doing it when he's around or at least make it less noticeable to him.
It doesn't sound like your boyfriend's mum's in any great danger so if I wouldn't advise you or your boyfriend to try and get her professional help. She would need to want it for it to be any good anyway. Just because someone smokes marijuana doesn't mean they'll start spending all their money on crack.

In internet explorer go to the tools menu and select internet options. On the content tab there's a content advisor that lets you filter various types of web site. I've never used it though so I don't know how good it is. Alternatively you could use a program like net nanny to filter websites, but I don't know of any free ones.

If you're in the UK try http://www.goldenelectronics.co.uk/. They have some pretty powerful machines for some pretty high spec systems.
www.alienware.com is supposed to be good but i've never used them.
www.ebuyer.com is good if you decide to build your own computer. They do decent parts at reasonable prices. It's another UK site so if you're not in the UK it might be a problem.

I think that people should be allowed to smoke in some public places. If you're outside then people who don't like it can go somewhere else. In places like restaurants it's a little different. I personally hate people smoking near me when I'm eating. I'm a non smoker (i quit) if it interests you.
You should probably mention France somewhere in your paper. In France smoking is banned in restaurants and nobody cares. They even give you ashtrays in most restaurants.
