Limewire.
Hello, I've looked up Limewire and everything I've read says it's legal. But I still can't help but wonder...
So does anyone know if it really is legal? Because I want to download it, I just don't know if I'll get in trouble for it.

Limewire's legal. It's the stuff you get from it that's illegal. Even if you start downloading illegal files it's unlikely you'll get caught. It's like swimming in a shoal of fish, there are so many fish the shark's not likely to eat you.

technicaly its illegal but you wont get introuble for it because there are people who downoads tens of thousands of songs so they wont go after you as long as you dont download like a million songs

Well, Limewire is legal .. until you download or upload music with it then it`s illegal, because you`re not paying for it. But the thing is .. millions of people use it everyday, so you won`t get in trouble. I`ve had it for quite awhile. So go ahead and download it !

b/c if you do think about it, you're not buying from the artist, you're downloading from the internet, you're not even PAYING for it. I personnally wouldn't download it, b/c not onnly is it illegal it gives you a buttload of viruses! trust me, i know! :)

honestly it is legal but if you sell the music it is ilegal you are allowed to have music on your computer. they cant expect people to have a computer with music on it. a little warning abotu limewire.( i have it and love it) but if you dont have a firewall it will mess up your computer.

think about it this way. you want the cd.. you buy it.. that money goes to the artist.. but if your use limewire.. it is not going to the arist AND THATS STEALING but i guess its not that bad becasue i mean EVERYONE DOES IT
