Q: i'm 15/f. i was at my aunt/uncles house today. me & my cousin were in the basement. her dad came down to look at his cellphone, then went back upstairs. once he left, my cousin said "i think my dad is having an affair." she opened up the text messages on his cell & they were from the same woman. they said "yeah what we're doing is so wrong i hope no one finds out" etc. my aunt & uncle have always had marriage problems, but as of now, me and my cousin are the only ones who knows about his affair. I asked my cousin if she's going to tell her mom and she said "NO WAY I'LL GET IN SO MUCH TROUBLE FOR LOOKING THRU HIS PHONE AND I DON'T WANT TO CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS!" She doesnt seem to care tho, but i'm so freaked out and my question is, what should i do, (should i do anything at all...?)
--its none of your business. you found out by sneaking around and going thru his phone...it is not your place to say ANYTHING...thats grown folks business...believe me...he's digging his own grave...and any woman worth her salt knows her man is cheating when he's messing around. trust that.

you dont want your aunt finding out from you--the first thing a woman thinks when she hears her man is screwing around is...ohno not MY MAN. SHE MAY EVEN GET ANGRY WITH YOU...SO STAY OUT OF IT. Pretend you didnt hear anything and go about your business.

Q: omg.. i cry over the smallest things.. but then they turn into big things... its not cool.. like i get all mad at something then i take it out on someone... then they hate me and wont talk to me... then all i do is cry.... what do i do to not do this....?????????
Hormones suck don't they?

cheer up...you'll get it under control in no time. I used to be a crier too...i hated it ...made me feel weak. but crying is actually very cleansing.

i know you dont want to be walking around crying all day long.

if you feel that your out of control emotionally...maybe it would help to talk to your family doctor. i would only seek medication as a last resort...being emotional and hormonal is completely normal...some folks just are affected by it more.

but talk to your doc...he might be able to help or at least calm your fears.

Q: I use to love to read and get lost in it. now I jsut can't seem to becouse my mind keep wondering off, i can't seem stay fucus to read.. how i get my intress back?
you definitely have to have a quiet place and something interesting...try reading in the bathtub ....get this book-- friday night at the beast house...you wont be able to put that down...i promise.

Q: well, ive been thinking about running every morning this spring break, because i dont have anything to do so i mind as well stay in shape.

i want to run every morning, but i dont want to lose weight, i want to lose how i LOOK, like my legs. my mom said that if you walk fast, a couple miles, it will tone your legs and butt, make them tighter, and better looking in a swimsuit. is this true? if not what workouts can i do to make them betteR? thanks so much, i rate!
heres a fun way to tighten up your legs and butt...and it really strengthens your core too...

ever heard of rebounding?

rebounding is a program of jumping on a mini trampoline.

its fun you can do it while watching tv or listening to music...it hardly feels like exercise at all.

you can go to modells and get a basic one for about twenty dollars.

some rebounders come with an instructional video but you can make up your own routines.

i have one and i love mine. you'll be surprised how fast you start to tighten up.

good luck

Q: I feel so bad that my mama and me dont always get along. She's my real mom and we have an arguement like 75 percent of the time we're together. she usually starts it. she'll yell at me about my attitude. and i would yell at her and shell get all mad at me and i get mad at her. sometimes she comes to apologize. but one time i told her off when she was trying to apologize then she yelled at me and she doesnt apologize anymore. now when we argue, it wears off. sometimes i go 2 days without talking to her but i dont want to. i wish i could get along with her. the sad thing is that i really need her. i cant wish for her to go away because i need her no matter how much we dont get along. she just doesnt understand me she tries to help me but ends up making things worse and i know its not her fault we just argue more than we spend time together even when we are spending time together. im sorry this is so long but i dont know what to do. can somebody help me?
you should never yell at your mother. i dont care if shes screaming at the top of her lungs...no screaming at the mamma.

regardless of what she says or what she does....shes your mom...moms have immunity...if she tells you to watch your attitude...its because she loves you. remember this it is very important....you only have one mother. your relationship with her will change as you grow up. sometimes its hard for adults to accept those changes. the fact that your mom tried to apologize to you says alot about the kind of person she is. some parents say mean things and it never even crosses thier minds to apoligize.
you cannot change your mom. she is who she is. but you can change the way you react to her. you have the power to change yourself.

so you already know that barking at your mother doesnt accomplish anything. try approaching her differently. speak softly...respectfully. she will notice the change in you.

Q: OK, so yesterday me and this girl got into a fist fight in the hallway and it started with like 4 people watching, but quickly it turned to like 30 people or more.....I'm not joking!!!!!So the girl scratched my face up and pulled my hair and made me look all torn up and I didnt make her look that bad....(I threw a couple good punches in the stomach). We spent the whole day in detention. Now everybody is saying how I lost the fight and how the girl tore me up, but really, i think nobody won. People in my school are so mean to me. (P. S. I go to Jr. High school in N.Y., so its madd tough)Well I just need to know what to say to these people before they torment me 4 ever. it really matters to me.~!~~~ plz help.
like most things...this too shall pass...as soon as someone else does something to get the attention of the student body...they will forget all about your fight.
its sad to say...but you might just have to ride this out.
i know it pisses you off that everyone keeps saying you got a beat down. and the other girl 's not gonna defend your honor by saying that you you got a good one in....try not to let it get to you so much...spring break is coming...i bet they wont even remember this by the time everyone comes back to school.

going to school in ny is hard...i know it is. i have three kids in the nyc public school system. they all have thier problems from time to time.
put some neosporin on that scratch...the sooner its gone...the better off you'll be...

Q: im 23 and have had pretty bad teeth for a while . pretty large gap aand they stick out, apart from that I am really happy with my looks, but it is getting worse and worse as the days go by , not smling etc , should I confront my fear at 23??? what other options do I have?
you know---its totally fixable...dentists out there today can do miracles...check out this site...hes a dentist in manhattan this is his webcam feed...you can watch him in action!

http://www.pearlywhites.com/dentcam.html

look at the before and afters...dont wait...get your teeth done and feel better about you.

Q: I have a really bad problem with my hair. it's huge. It frizzy and thick and its so hard to manage. I was just wondering if there are any known products that can help me with my unmanageable hair. I've tried thinning, and cutting and many products with minimal success. Also straightening my hair takes about 3 hours and I really dont have that kind of time to spend on my hair. Please help!! I rate high for appropriate answers
my 11 year old step daughter has this same problem. her hair is really kinky curly--frizzy--kinda dry---and really long (when its wet...it goes down to the back of her thighs)
shes not here all the time...but when she is we try different products on her hair. you need a good leave in conditioner(redkin makes a good one) and getting your hair trimmed and thinned regularly will help too...theres really not much you can do unless you wanna sit there and straighten your hair every single day(and its really harsh on your hair too)...stay away from the heat and condition...condition...condition.i sometimes use up to four products in her hair at once...anti fizz serum...gel...conditioner.... oils....her hair just sucks it up.
but as long as her hair stays moist it is manageable....also when its wet like that it is much easier to manage as far as combing and styling...the knots are horrible when its a frizzy mop.
i know its frusterating...her biggest wish last year for her birthday was to wear her hair down with a headband...we spent alot of money and she cried alot of tears having her hair straightened...it was beautiful...although it only lasted till she got her hair washed.
we have even tried natural foods in her hair...i heard that olive oil was good for hair and mayonaise...the oil worked pretty good...but there are oils out there that are basically the same thing but smell really good too...go to sallys beauty supply...they have lots of nice hair products and dont be afraid to keep trying new things...there is something out there that will work for you...you just gotta keep looking.

good luck and much love,
Louise

Q: hey im doing this concert thing at school as like a treat for everyon for raising over 10000 dollars from the fundraiser.. does anyone know any good duets for boyfriends and girlfriends?? ((im doing 2 duets with my boyfriend))
a good duet song would be "cruising"
--you know, goes like---
baby lets cruise...away from here.........i love it when were cruising together.....
or from this moment...
by shania twain...
the guy has the best parts in that one though
can't we try...
---you know, goes like---
cant we try just a little bit harder...can't we give just a little bit more...cant we try to understand that its love were fightng for.....

oh yeah ...the BEST song for you to do is the song "this is what dreams are made of" from the lizzie mcguire movie...remember paulo and lizzie sang this duet? its got a great girl part and the harmonizing is easy......
i'd love to hear what you finally choose...give us an update!

Q: I got my lip periced last year and that hurt like woah. Does getting your tounge peirced hurt worse
the tongue doesnt really hurt much to actually get it pierced....
no.........
the pain and agony begin the moment you open your eyes the following morning.
you will be swollen
it will be impossible to eat
you will need to clean your mouth several times a day
resist the urge to play with it (your peircing!!!)

just keep lots of ice on hand and some advil for the pain and swelling
oh yeah dont forget to rinse and spit....

Q: I'm contemplating having the bariatric surgery done. I'm 140lbs over my "ideal" weight... and the diabetes and other probs are too much to deal with for the next 10 years. I've been this same size plus or minus 20 lbs for longer than that...and I have hated being heavy... now we have insurance that will cover it!! I think I need to do it... Just wanted to see where you stand on the issue... and see if you're supportive of the idea.
the surgury is good...it saves lives. here a great site for you to check out
www.obesityhelp.com they have lots of info there...

i had the surgery...if you have any questions please feel free to contact me

Q: I enjoy watching tv series on DVD. Ones I have enjoyed are "Soprano's", "Sex & the City", "Star Trek TNG", & "Dawson's Creek". Can anyone recommend a new series for me to watch with a continuing story line; not a comedy like "Sienfeld."
no doubt about it----

DEAD LIKE ME

you gotta check it out...it is so good. dark comedy...real good

Q: hi i have a 3 yearold daughter but latly she been out of control she dont listen she is very bossy she wont potty train she hits throws things around gets into everything what can i do to help with all of this everyone is getting mad cuz she is not potty trained yet ive tryed pottys and the adult toliet but nothing works ive tryed soap and spankings and took her toys away but nothing is working can someone help me

liz

liz...
she sounds like a normal three year old. they say the twos are terrible...well the threes aint no picnic either man.

three year olds are bossy...and stubborn..loud...EXTREMELY curious...(bad!$#@!!!!)
i say---when all else fails...bribe them. take her to target and show her all the cool hello kitty panties...and tell her that you cant wait until she starts wearing panties because they have so many cute kinds...

let her watch you go...they learn from example...although i understand if you dont feel comfortable...some people dont.

make up a catchy little peepee song for when she actually does go...and dont forget to sing it.

she really does want to please you and she would go if she could...some kids just need longer.
buy a stamper and give her a stamp for every completed transaction...that works too.
and remember to always praise her...and dont get mad if she has an accident...act like its no big deal (cause it isnt) having accidents is embarassing to a kid...there can be no shame attached to the potty training process or there will be problems with the process.
its a very stressfull time for her...try and remember that.

Q: THIS IS PRETTY LONG AND BORING....
Im 20m and never had a girlfriend!!!I never even hold or kiss a girl before.... It's not that im ugly or gay, although im not the cute or handsome type either. When i was in high school there were a few girls that come up to me but they weren't my type so i refused them all. But the girl that was my type, i never had the courage to ask them out (im very shy around the girl i like). Now that i drop out of college and work fulltime, i dont have the chance of meeting new people. HOW AM I GOING TO GET A GF? I dont hang out that much and i had never step foot in a club before. Here's the weird thing, the older i get the pickier i am about girlfriend. I thought that not having a gf is suppose to make me desperate, but im not, although i do want a gf pretty bad. What make it worse is that i dont like party girls or girls that would go out with someone that just met and thought he is kinda cute, of course there is nothing wrong with that, im just being picky. I would like to get to know the girl a lil bit before i go out with her, but HOW AM I GOING TO DO THAT????
You said..."Here's the weird thing, the older i get the pickier i am about girlfriend."

maybe you find fault with all the girls that approach you because you are really too insecure to bother with even the interested ones ---maybe fear of rejection?--you need to start out slow and get your feet wet.

i think you may be shooting to high....the next time a girl approaches you...regardless of whether your attracted to her or not...be charming--be funny--ask her out---hang out with her...

or not--- you should try making the first move too...you can meet women anywhere...the grocery store...in line at the post office...anywhere...just be friendly--
-- approachable and charming...oh yeah and don't be cheap...thats a pet peeve for a lot of women.
