i want to run every morning, but i dont want to lose weight, i want to lose how i LOOK, like my legs. my mom said that if you walk fast, a couple miles, it will tone your legs and butt, make them tighter, and better looking in a swimsuit. is this true? if not what workouts can i do to make them betteR? thanks so much, i rate!

It will, but tae-bo and tennis will probably help quicker ♥

Running helps your legs A LOT! Whether you just want to tone them or if you want to lose weight. It also keeps you very fit. If you want to tone your legs and butt, then you have to do things like squats and lunges. Hope i helped!

Yes, your mom is right and walking fast will tone and tighten your legs and butt. You can also do leg lifts, squats, and lunges for exercises but I don't know any workouts at this moment.

heres a fun way to tighten up your legs and butt...and it really strengthens your core too...

ever heard of rebounding?

rebounding is a program of jumping on a mini trampoline.

its fun you can do it while watching tv or listening to music...it hardly feels like exercise at all.

you can go to modells and get a basic one for about twenty dollars.

some rebounders come with an instructional video but you can make up your own routines.

i have one and i love mine. you'll be surprised how fast you start to tighten up.

good luck

running and walking do make your muscles in your legs tighter. but it mostly works on your calves. if you really wanna work on your thighs and butt i suggest riding a bike.

Yes if you walk up hill's and down hills and all that jazz you'll tone your legs and butt and make them tighter. I exercise because I'm on a diet and I always feel my muscles getting tighter when I walk up hill's and stuff. So yes, definatley go walking!
