I am 14/f and I haven't had my period since early May. I've gone for over two months without getting my period. I'm starting to get concerned about it. I got my first period when I was 12. Lately, I've started eating a lot healthier than I used to. I used to eat ice cream every night and eat a lot of snacks that were high in calories and fat. But now I eat snacks like fruit and yogurt, and I try to balance out the number of servings I eat from all the food groups. Also, I've started running more to get in shape for lacrosse (3 mi. every morning), and I swim on a swim team (twice a day 5 days a week). I've lost about 10 or 15 pounds since the last time I had my period. I know I'm not pregnant because I haven't had sex. And I'm not anorexic, I'm 5'6" and weigh 125. I eat regularly, about 2000 calories daily. So why haven't I had my period. Am I at risk for anything serious? How can I change what I'm doing to ensure that I get my period again? it takes a period up to 3 YEARS to become normalized, and some times people can go from between 2 weekly periods to not having one for 6 months

well if this is your first FIRST period, than they normally last about 8-10 days. after that, its normally shorter, but your period patterns for about 2-3 years can be weird, especially during the first

Okay, this may not seem like a problem, but I started babysitting for this one family this summer. They have a pretty big house and good jobs, so it's not like they are poor. I think they overpay me though. I know I shouldn't complain, but they paid me $40 for watching a 4-year-old and a nine-year-old from 6-11pm....and they pay me $100 a week to watch the 9-year-old while they are at work during the summer....watching the nine-year-old basically consists of watching tv or watching him play nintendo or watching him fish. it's not a hard job, and I enjoy it...should I say something about the high pay, or just take it as them appreciating me and being nice? I don't want to get more than I deserve.... (link)

$40 for watching a kid for 5 hours is only $8 an hour, which is a FAIR price. so you may think that they are overpaying you, but in general, its a good price.

yea go to hottopic.com it has unpermanent hair dyes that only last a week. a week or experimenting is ok, and your mom should let you because its your body, your hair, so its in a way, your choice.

babysitting, dog walking, pet sitting, yard work, offer chores to your neighbors, such as cleaning their basements/attic, washing their dishes. these jobs can earn you at LEAST $7 an hour

since yoru only 14, for a first date, the malls would be best. its casual, but there is a chance of making out :) at movies, its like, all you think about (she'll be sitting next to you thinking where are we gonna start kissing?!)

hey! i recently permed my hair (about 3 weeks ago) and while i was at the salon, the stylist told me that i cant swim in swimming pools because the perm will come out. origionally, this wasnt a problem, but i separated my shoulder and now have to get in the pool (head under also) for physical therapy. is my perm going to come out? you can swim. normally perms are good for swimming after about 1-2 weeks.
