At the moment i am in the 9th grade. I think i am going to have to take 9th grade over again right now. My grades have been slipping for a while now and i just cant seem to keep them up and i really want to do this virtual academy thing that alot of people have reccomended i do but my mom wont let me she says she wont until i get my grades up but thats the whole problem is my grades and i honestly like school for some strange reason i want to go to college and get good grades and all that but i just cant seem to do it and it's not that i socialize to much at school cause i barely do any socializing like at lunch and stuff i usualy listen to music, read, or write, or try and work on homework and alot of my teachers say that alot of the work i do turn in is good and i get good grades on them but i cant seem to get things done on time and turn them in or anything and i'm falling farther behind and everything so any suggestions on what i should do like should i just stay at my school right now and if i fail then repeat the grade or should i do the virtual academy thing which i've only heard good things about or well i dont know what else there is

For starters, you must understand that by procrastinating, things will not get done on time.
Suggestions you should get, are directly from your teachers on how to pull your grades up to at least a passing grad, to promote yourself to the next grade.
Sure, the work you hand in give you good points for homework, but not having them completed in a timely fashion will cause more problems to you.
I have not heard of the Virtual Academy, so I can't give you advice on something I'm, not familiar with.
I hope to do well. By asking your teachers to give you some "underground" extra credit work, will improve your grades greatly. That let's the teachers know that you care about your education, you're taking initiation, and you're willing to go forward, and do whatever it takes not to be left behind. This proves that you being completely responsible, and it will show, through your effort.

In life, I like to be polite to everyone. This has become a problem because whenever I hang out with my guy friends. At least one of them starts to like me and think that I like them back. I really try not to act flirty but its getting to the point where I'm losing my guy friends after having to turn them down. Its really bothering me, I miss just being friends with them. What do I do? Come striaght out and announce it to them that you're looking for a great friendship with them, and to not take your niceness too seriously.
That way, they would know if they're flirting, and you're being nice, that's just your personality.
I'm sure they'll understand.

me and this boy have been mates a long time - we started gettin realy close around xmas. about 4 weeks ago we were out with some friends and me and him went off because he was upset so i followed him - he told me he really liked me and we kissed. the next weekend we were out in town with everyone again and me and him went off and kissed again n sepnt lots of time alone together. during the week after that i found out him and this girl he used to like but they fell out were friends again - i asked if that was it and he said yes just friends - then i found out the next weekend they were together and kissed etc. he told me he didnt know who to choose. in the end he said he just wanted tp be friends. the next week at a party i got drunk and got upset because he was there and i was crying and he follwed me n talked to me tried t make me happier but also said i had to try get over him. later that night me and another guy got together. the guy i like later said we needed to talk - he said to be careful with the guy i got with that night - i asked why and he said he was jelous, then he kissed me. the next mornin he said that what happened that night between us had to be forgotten. so over the next week i tried to get over him and i thought i had - i sa whim yesterday and relised i havn't we were talking etc like friends but i really like him and i do not know what to do!!!
sorry for the essay there but i really need help and i really really like him!! what can i do??

I completely understand you, but you do need to try and get over him. Being that its hard to remain friends with him, while still having feelings. You should let him know how you feel and that you're in pain every time you're around him.
See what he'll say. If he really cares, he would let you know that you two shouldn't communicate anymore, or at least until you're completely over him.
If he wants to still be around you, you must let him know that the friendship can not be as serious, or spending to much time together.
Do you see what I mean?
I hope you do get over him, that other guy is who you should be focusing on right now. So what if he's jealous, you're no longer together. You have every right to move on.
Go on girl, move on...

can i use an expired ID to get into clubs..temporarily? someone stole my purse and it'll take a few weeks for them to mail me my new driver's license...so can i just use my old one that expired a few years ago?? thanks youuu! (link)

I wouldn't recommend risking that.
Most club owners have became more strict with their ID checking.
You have to have a valid ID, no matter what.
Best suggestion, is to wait until you get your ID, because they wont take that kind of story (even though you're telling the complete truth, they've heard so many other stories similar to that) I'm a Club Promoter, so I should know.
But, its really up to you. Depending on where you'd go, maybe they'll let you in, if they are familiar with you.

Take your time, it might not even be you.
Most guys are not striaght forward, while others are still trying to decide who they see themselves with.
Keep enjoying your life, you're still young. Enjoy your freedom while you still have it, being in a relationship can stop you from doing certain things...
Mostly, worry about school, getting a job, etc. Then maybe you can figure out what to do after that.
Sometimes its also where you meet a guy? That happens a lot, so start chilling in different locations.

If you are uncomfortable, let him know that you're not willing to trust the through text messages.
See if you can send through email, or log on to a community site such as myspace or facebook, where that way, you wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

so I'm going to try to make this as short as possible...here it goes:
there are two guys guy #1 and 2...
#1: He is nice to me, incredibly sweet (although none of my friends or family like him and he's not very attractive), but in school (and outside of school) I never see him. So, when we are passing in the hallway or see eachother at lunch it is sooo awkward because we only talk on AIM and text, and we just like don't say anything. Well, he asked me out once, and then told me he liked me another time, and I told him I liked him too (because I do) and then he asked me if I would ever go out with a guy like him...and I said not until things becaome less awkward for us. sooo he dropped the subject and it's been weeks since he brought it up. I flirt with him a lot on text, but he can be a liar. so anyways, he brought up the subject again, but I might be liking another guy now.
#2. He is more attractive than guy #1, I talk to him at lunch (in school and on text) my friends like him, my family does too, but we nver hung out outside of school. He is tall and makes me laugh, and my friends are trying to set me up with him,, telling me how cute we are and everything, but he sends mixed signals. and I don't think he likes me as a gf, just a friend, but I'm not really sure. It's really confusing. We never talked about our relationship and whatnot, so I don't know who to like.

Let's start with Guy #1:
Think about it, it seems to me that he must really have feelings for you, and is even willing to wait for you to come up with the right moment for you two to spend a little more time together.
To me, things can go well, but it would take a bit more work in that relationship for others to understand that you two might be right for each other.
Now, on to Guy #2:
Family and Friends like him, and of course you do too. He's more attractive and you can also see yourself with him for as long as possible. But the problem is, he's not being straight forward with you , and you feel you're receiving mixed messages.
You should find the strength to confront him and ask him "Where are we in this? Is it as good friends, or potential relationship?"
That's the only way you'll know for sure, what he's thinking.
Other than that, whoever fits better into your life that makes you happy should be the one to be with.

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing I can do with my hair it seems. I hate spending a lot of time in the morning on it but I don't know what to do with it. It's thing, naturally straight, and therefore breaks wicked easy. There's layers in it, but you can barely tell since it's so thin. Does anybody have any suggestions? (link)

ok, so i have a problem with the guy i like and guys i used to like. all of them are taken by my friends (except for one, but that not important), but i liked them before they even got together. so what is my problem? i know there's one person for everyone, but i can't help but to feel lonely.

True, there is someone for everyone.
Sometimes you must wait for "him" to come to you.
I understand that you may feel lonely at this time, but loneliness doesn't last forever.
Think about it this way, its good to have more time by yourself, so you can get to know who you truly are. You won't be able to have that privilege with a guy blocking your time for "you".
While your friends are with their boyfriends, you can still have that same fun being paired up with a male friend or someone who you can bond with for the time being.
But, until then, enjoy every moment by yourself, and no one is ever lonely...

Having a birthday party accommodated with appropriate size, or spending the weekend with your mother, are two good ideas.
Parties deals with a lot of ahead time scheduling, finding the right venue or location, paying for a bunch of necessities, giving out invites, decorations, having a special guest, and more.
There's so much that deals with planning, that you and your mother can use the time to have quality mother & daughter time.
I think you can enjoy the weekend with your mom, and possibly invite some of your friends to share the moment, and also witness the best time you would have.

today has been the worst day of my life. its my bday today i turned 14. everything just went wrong. my 2 best friends, one is pissed about sumfthin taht has nothing to do with her and is ignoring me but she finally yelled at me over texting. and then my other bestfriend is a guy and weve been best friends since i can remember and weve liked eachother and hated eachother off and on but were both afraid so we never did anything but todays valinetins day so i was gona ask him out no matter how much i got hurt but he didnt come to school. then my family never got me a cake and we couldnt even go out to eat. then my cousins couldnt come over cuz they have better things to do. and i dont get presents cuz they say i dont need any altho for my sister they spent 300$. my birthday party is tomarrow and less than half the people can even come and its gona storm so the outdoor party is now indoor and our house is tiny. we dont have a cake for tomarrow or food or decorations and i have schoool so i cant set it up. that partys a bust. i got my progress report card and im failing so im in even more trouble and a few of the people cant come because of report cards. also my mom goes off on me about how i dress so gothic altho i dont at all and how all i wanted for my bday was to dye my hair with the dye i have left that i already used before but i cant. the only thing i can think of that was good today was that my friend gave me a cupcake with a candle in it. i loved that but nothing else at alll happend thats good i tried thinking positive. anything else or does that sum it up (link)

Wow, I feel your pain. 1st I want to say, that I'm sorry your day hasn't been going well. People get those a lot, but we most face it strong and get through it. Other days could be worst.
I'm glad that your friend took the thought of giving you a cupcake with a candle, that was very sweet and thoughtful of them.
Every year wont be the best, so just appreciate that you were 1st, able to be 14years old, and even though it wasn't the best day, you may look at this and be happy.
Everything happens for a reason. Ever thought you might have gotten more than your sister throughout the year?
Thinking positive doesn't always have their instant gratification. It takes time.
And remember, patience is the key to an improvement in life.

All "Snail Mail" known as using the regular mailing system, must have a return address.
Why? Because, now all things are taking in precautions after Sept. 11th.
Before, all mail did not necessarily require a return mailing address.
But things have changed, and everything that seems suspicious would be thoroughly inspected.
To answer your question, yes, its mandatory for all mails being sent around the globe, have a returning mailing address.
No, mail without returning addresses are considered to be disposed. They can't return it back to the sender, because there's no sender's address.
If you put a returning address, and the person you were trying to reach, no longer lives at that location, the mail would easily be forward back to you, the sender, without any problems.

Well, he got you something for your Birthday, that counts more than an average Valentine's Day gift.
Birthdays are morely celebrated, compared to Valentine's Day. But lately, the guys have been kicking in their share to make their girlfriends or wives happy and satisfied.
It would be nice to get him something, but most guys don't really expect something on a day that's really for "us" women.
Think of things that he needs or wants, that would be a good gift to give him, because even though it was received on Valentine's Day, he can use it throughout the year.

I suggest you go to see a doctor.
1st off, you had to get it prescribed by a physician, so you should get checked out.
Make sure everything is fine, or okay.
It doesn't sound normal. Also ask as many questions while you're there. Keep the doctor up to date with progress.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop. When I open the screen, it's really loose, it wobbles around a lot.
I've read that the screen hinges get loose from opening the screen all the way and all I have to do is tighten some screws. Problem: I don't know where to locate those screws.

You should contact Dell. Their tech support would be glad to help you with anything you need.
If you purchased your laptop from Dell Company.
If not, you should try contacting any other Computer experts on where you can purchase that special screw driver for those screws.

hey. ok so my mom used to wear these winter boots but she's saying that they're too heavy (cause of the platform on the bottom that keeps the boots elevated so when she walks in the snow, they don't get ruined). so she was like, "maybe i should buy UGGs like you" and i was like, "uhhhh. no." and so i need to suggest to her some type of winter boots that are light. they don't even have to be boots.. even ankle boots are fine. they just have to be reasonably easy to walk in yet keep her feet warm. price range.. > $150. any suggestions?
