The day before, eating really healthy like all fruits and vegetables and whole wheats maybe, and excercising a lot, and then the day of the party not eating at all, except for water and then doing like, 200 crunches before you left, would that make you look at least a little bit skinnier? Negative. Five hours won't make a difference. It would take days and days of not eating to see an alteration of your body. Not many people last that long. It's unnatural. And oh, there's also the excruciating pain. Unwise. And haven't we already gone over this? ;)

Well, you never mention his age, or how long the two of you have been together, but I'll do the best I can here.

If you're interested in getting him a store bought gift, try keeping it simple. Spring for some posters, a leather jacket, nice cologne, a gift card, a nintendo system, or some DVD's.

Or if he drives, how about a gas card? Those are pricey, but keep in mind that I was never given a price range.

You could always take him to a fancy dinner. And if not, how about making him dinner? If you're up to the challenge, you could try stuffed chicken breasts with potatoes of some sort with a fresh garden salad and sundaes for dessert. Or lasagna.

If you're willing to get creative, how about planning a picnic lunch in the park? That will definitely be simple enough. You could bring a blanket and some music. It doesn't have to be complicated. It can consist of turkey sandwiches on slice bread, grapes, watermelon, pretzels, twinkies etc. And make sure you bring bread to feed the duckies. That would be a nice touch.

Another possible suggestion... you could always make him a poster or a photo album. You can enhance it with the use of markers, photographs, quotes and so on. How about making him some sort of little quilt with protective clear pockets that you can insert pictures into, and take them out to wash easily?

Just remember that it's the thought that counts with these things. Exspense doesn't measure love, so I'm sure he'll love whatever it is that you do. (=

♥[?]♥ This is NOT a joke. I seriously think my house is haunted. Tonight I saw something (a black figure out of the corner of my eye) walk past my room. The reason why I dont think it was "just my eyes playing a trick on me" is because I felt a prescence, like there was someone there. When I looked down the hall, there was no one there. I asked my Dad who was watching TV in another room if it was him and he said, "No." And my Mom was sleeping in her room and no one else was home. Please help! This has happened 3 or 4 times and I cant sleep at night! What should I do?? Has this happened to anyone else? How did you feel less scared? :(

It would be hard for us to confirm or disprove your sighting without seeing it for ourselves. You are the one who experienced this, so you will know better than anyone else. Be open to the idea that it was simply an optical illusion, but do not let anybody confirm that for you. If you think that you saw a spirit, then you might want to stick to it. Doubting yourself will only bring you unnecessary disturbance and interrupt your life more than it should.

One thing you might want to consider is your placement in the room and the lighting conditions. We used to have a tremendous, white, hovering blur at the top of our stairs that could only be seen if you sit in one precise place in the room. You might want to try setting up the same conditions, and see if you see it again.

It's not surprising that you are terrified, it's a scary thing. It's human nature to fear what we don't understand. If you discover that you can not possibly recreate this situation, and if this was something that frightened you, I suggest that you should somehow gather up the courage to not be afraid. I realize that will be easier said that done, but supposedly spirits collect themselves through energy. Energy not only comes from electronics but human emotions, as well. If you are upset, on edge or scared, more energy will lurk in the air, inviting "it" back. That is why I think it's best to go with your original belief. If you accept what happened (whether you think it's true or not) your mind would be more likely to be at peace. (=

I'm not exactly sure whether you can't find the place where you upload your picture or if you're having difficulties getting it to actually work.

To upload your picture on your Advicenators column, go to your 'PROFILE SETTINGS' (which is on the left hand side of the screen, under your "INBOX")

Then scroll down to "PART III", and where it says "UPLOAD OF PIC OF YOURSELF", click "BROWSE".

If for some reason that won't work, you can just use an image URL. And to do that, go to www.tinypic.com You don't need to sign in or register or any of that. Just click "BROWSE", and they will upload it for you.

I've always believed that if you love two, you don't love either one enough. No possible way around that fact, as far as I'm concerned. Though unfortunate, I say you're better off picking up the pieces of your broken heart and walking away from this relationship. He obviously doesn't hold a big enough interest in you. If he did, he wouldn't want anyone else, because no one else in the world would be able to compare to you and to what the two of you have together. Call me crazy for thinking this, but love is reciprocal. It's not just one-sided. Think of it this way: what's the point in giving your heart away to someone who isn't willing to give you theirs? I'm telling you to use your head, and think of your own well being on this one. Don't waste anymore of your time, tears or effort on this guy. He's already proven himself to be disrespectful and untrustworthy. I'm not saying to go out there looking for someone who is perfect, because you will never find that. Just don't settle for anything less than what you're willing to put in.
