sorry, but how do i change the tray options?
I don't know. I've never used ATI software. Contact ATI or Hypercam support.

I tried to make some youtube videos but ever since i downloaded ATI Graphics Card my hypercam will not run.
Isaacashtox@yahoo.com
Go into ATI settings and disable tray tools and any other programs that run all the time. You only need the basic driver. That should fix it. If not, contact hypercam support.

This is my first time building my own computer. Could I successfully build a computer with these parts( do they fit?)? What else do I need(sound card?)? THANKS!
You forgot a hard drive, CD/DVD drive, and floppy drive. You also didn't list an operating system, which you need to buy separately when building your own computer. You will need a 64-bit(x64) operating system to be able to use all 4GB of the RAM; otherwise you'll only see 3GB. 64-bit Windows OSs aren't as well supported; some Windows programs don't work on them.
A sound card isn't necessary unless you have 5.1 surround sound or better.
The power supply and case are more expensive than similar hardware.
Other than that, everything looks fine. The components should work together, and it should be a good gaming PC.

where can I download spybot search&destroy?
I know that I can easily look it up on google and find a thousand links saying I can download it, but I've heard that there are some websites that instead of downloading spybot, you are actually downloading spyware or a virus or some kind of malicious software on your computer.
So yeah, I just wanted to be safe and ask on here :}
Thanks.
You can get a safe version from multiple places, but like russianspy1234 said, safer-networking.org is the official download location.

cloning seems so cool! i have a few questions.
(1) can a human clone reproduce?
(2) does a human clone have a mind? can they think for themselves?
(3) when you first make the clone, they have the mindset of a baby, right? they don't know anything / they can't do anything?
(4) do they have feelings?
(5) are they capable of the same things as a real human? do they learn any slower?
thanks!
Today's cloning technology would create a twin of the cloned person. The clone and cloned person would look similar, but not identical. The clone would develop like a normal human, and wouldn't age especially fast (they would start as an embryo, then a fetus, then be born, etc.). So unlike real twins, the clone and cloned person would always be of different real and apparent ages. We don't have any way with current technology to transfer thoughts or memories, and they are not stored in DNA, so clones wouldn't have any of the cloned person's memories.
A clone will not inherently have any of the problems you describe. However, cloning isn't very reliable, and today's cloning technology will surely result in problems. The clone will probably not survive very long, and they might have terrible and multiple genetic conditions. That's one of the reasons why a human clone has never been attempted. There are no laboratory-created clones in existence.
The type of clone depicted in science fiction is speculative, and not possible with today's technology. If that type of cloning ever becomes possible, it will be through a combination of technologies, and far in the future.

Hi there,
I saw that you gave some good advice about Windows Media Player and so I was wondering as to whether you could help me. I use Vista Basic on a Dell Laptop
Recently, my Windows Media Player has been non-responsive, like whenever I double click on the icon, nothing happens: literally, there's no warning sound/message to tell me that something is wrong. I can't open it, I can't update it etc and it is really annoying.
Now, I've talked to Dell about it and they say to restore the laptop to factory settings, which would mean wiping out everything which was on the laptop and I really don't want to run the risk of losing all my work, pictures, programs because then I'd have to re-install them, try and get files of the backup and hope that they work again.
I was wondering whether there was something else which I could do to try and make it work. By the way, I did a system restore and went back like five days and it worked fine again, but then 'time caught up' with the computer and then it stopped working again.
Thanks
Try the system restore again. The second failure could have just been a coincidence.
If that doesn't work, try following my guide here:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=269&userboard_id=38985
Also make sure that you've installed all available updates for Windows Vista. If you haven't installed it already, SP1 will probably fix this.
If you only use Windows Media Player for playing audio and video, then you could use an alternative. I personally use Media Player Classic Homecinema:
http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
VLC is also good:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
There are other things that could fix your problem, but I would need realtime info. Contact me by IM if nothing I said works and you don't want to use an alternative.

I'm trying to listen to a song backwards but it won't let me
I'm using audacity
I highlight a part
then I click effects, and Reverse
I hear like a quick squeek (like not even a milisecond) and then nothing at all
HELP PLEASE!!! :/
You have to be doing something wrong. If Audacity loads an audio file, it will be able to reverse it. I've made you a video showing how to reverse audio in audacity (no sound, unfortunately):
http://www.divshare.com/download/5398200-ff9
Make sure you're doing it correctly.
If it still won't work, send me the file and I'll reverse it for you:

I use Windows Live Hotmail and it takes me forever just to read my messages because of the ads at the top of each page. Of course, everytime I go to a page (my inbox, etc.) the ad at the top has to load, it takes probaby a full minute or longer just to load it. Is there anything I can do to speed this up?
By the way, I do not have any spyware, viruses, etc. on my computer, I've checked a good number of times.
Get a faster Internet connection. Your connection has to be pretty slow for there to be that much slowdown from ads.
For Firefox you can use Adblock Plus and Easylist to block all ads:
http://adblockplus.org/en/
For IE7, you can use IE7Pro to block all ads:
http://www.ie7pro.com/
Ad Muncher (not free) will block all ads in most browsers:
http://www.admuncher.com/
Modifying the hosts file to block advertising will work in all browsers, but it can cause problems. Here is a good hosts blacklist:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
If you just want to block ads on Live Hotmail, you can use most of the options above to block anything from ad*.msn.com. You could also use privoxy for this, which is a very small application:
http://privoxy.org
Privoxy is difficult to set up, though.

i just got the IC recorder ICD-UX70/UX80 and i cant figure out how to turn it off and the manual doesn't say...
From the manual, page 8:
When you slide the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow in the stop mode, the IC recorder turns off within a few seconds. To turn the IC recorder on, slide the HOLD switch in the opposite direction from that of the arrow. During recording and playback slide the switch in the direction of the arrow to lock all the functions of all the buttons so that you can prevent inadvertent operations.

I was looking into buying this laptop. An Acer 8.9" AOA150-1570 Aspire One Netbook PC w/ Intel Atom N270 Processor from walmart.com
I was wondering if anyone had any reviews for it? Does it work good?
I would just be using it for school work and surfing the internet.
Thanks
Netbooks are quite slow. They're meant primarily for accessing the Internet. I don't recommend using that as your only computer, though it would be very useful to have in addition to a desktop or more powerful laptop.

That was my question, and it happened again. So I did what you said, only now I've encountered a problem. It seems to have erased all of the default backgrounds and kept the pictures I have under "My pictures" instead.
Any way to fix this? =/
Go to start, run. Type this and press enter:
regedit
On the left, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE, then Microsoft, then Windows. Select CurrentVersion.
On the top menu, go to edit -> new -> string. Name the new value "WallPaperDir", without quotes, caps sensitive.
After naming the value to "WallPaperDir", double click it and put "%SystemRoot%\Web\Wallpaper", without quotes, in the "value data" field
Then download this file, unzip it, and put the 100 images somewhere in your "my pictures" folder:
http://www.badongo.com/file/11348223
They can be in a subfolder, but they need to be unzipped. I'm not sure if you can mark the folder as hidden.
As long as you keep the 100 images in your "My pictures" folder, the problem should be fixed.
If you have trouble, contact me:

Is the video iPod converter 'Videora' trustworthy? Have there been any users that had problems with it, or is it harmful to the computer?
It's safe. It doesn't have any viruses or other malware. I don't have an iPod, so I don't know if it works or not.

.Well my computer is missing some files and I plan to use bartpe on it and well I was wondering if I can use a usb drive to reboot it. The usb drive is an HP c320w and I know you can use usb drives someway but can someone walk me tell me how or would it be smarter to use a cd.
Just use a CD. BartPE wasn't designed to be run on a USB drive. A USB installer isn't provided by the author.
If you really want to put it on USB, try searching:
Look for recent articles, 2007 or later.
I'm not a fan of BartPE. For data recovery purposes, I find linux distributions to much more useful, even when recovering from Windows.

My computer is not opening more than one window at a time.. Everytime I try to open a new window it freezes.. HELP?
I've never heard of this problem before, but if I were you, I would follow my guide here:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=269&userboard_id=38985
If that didn't work, I would try using system restore to go to a time before the problem.
If that didn't work, I would insert my Windows Installation CD, go to start -> run and type:
sfc /scannow
And if that didn't work, I would reinstall Windows.

does the popular vote matter? or do electoral votes matter more since george bush beat al gore?
In the presidential election, you don't vote for one of the candidates. You're actually voting for an elector who has pledged to vote for a certain candidate. They aren't legally bound to vote for the candidate they promised to, but it's extremely rare for them to change their mind.
In other words, the president is chosen by 538 people who are themselves chosen by citizens of their respective states.
The number of electors each state has is based on its population. So there's only a difference in outcome between the popular and electoral vote when the race is very close. The popular vote doesn't matter.
The idea for the elector college must have looked good on paper, but in practice it's useless or harmful.
