Saturday I am having a big party for St. Patricks Day where there will be alcohol. Obviously. However, I have a bacterial infection down there... (NOT an STD) and today I was given Metronidazol (250mg) to take 3 times a day for a week to get rid of it.
But apparently you CAN NOT take it with alcohol. I guess it can make you very sick. So... should I wait until after Saturday to take it or should I start taking it now and then maybe stop Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then continue? I'm not gonna ask my doctor cuz she is near impossible to get a hold of and my dad works at the pharmacy I go to and he doesn't know I drink...

The one guiding principal I was always instructed whenever I was given antibiotics is this:
Stay on them for the full course, WITHOUT interruption.
Imagine having something like bacterial vaginosis (not saying that is what you have, just picking a random below the belt non-std infection) that you can't every get rid of because it is immune to antibiotics. Bad idea, right?
If it were me that was given the antibiotics, I would skip on the party and get myself well, so I could be in better shape for the next social event.
Getting well has to be #1.
Let me ask you a single question, putting it in a way you may not have considered:
Should getting drunk be more important than your reproductive health?
Put it like that and the whole thing looks kind of obvious, eh? :-)

Last Thursday, I was hit in the head with a lacrosse ball. On Friday (the day after), the school nurse confirmed that I have a mild concussion. Taking her advice, I did not watch TV or read, and only went on the computer for up to 30 minutes each day.
Then, Saturday night, I got a fever and could not sleep. The next day, Sunday, I proceeded to vomit (I know, gross, sorry!) at 8:30 am, 8:45 pm, and 10 pm. All of Monday, I had a fever but did not throw up again. By the end of the day, my stomach barely hurt and I was back to eating solids. Also, I slept most of Sunday and Monday, though for 2 hours at most. I have had a headache since Thursday. I get headaches fairly often, but never one for four days that was not a migrane.
Today, Tuesday, my fever is gone, but my headache is still very strong. Walking is easier than before (Sorry, I forgot to mention - walking was not easy and I always felt off balance).
Anyways, my question is, do I need to go see my doctor/get a CAT scan or MRI? Many of my symptoms are under the reasons that my concussion might be serious and I should contact my doctor, but I also think I had the stomach flu, so they might not be related?

I would call your doctor and ask what they think, and I would do it immediately.
If you can't reach your doctor, I would go to the hospital.
A concussion can be a very dangerous thing, so please don't take any chances.

I am having trouble accessing certain advice columns (that are not my own) on the website. When I click on the name of some advice columnists, basically it shows the website in the url area like normal and the rest of the top toolbar area, but the rest of the screen is white. Ok, so I got hacked on my Instagram account and my account got disabled. But, it logs me in on my sister's iPhone. What do I do? I NEED Instagram. I got your statement based on the abuse report, I'm going to let it go.
I just wanted to say that I wasn't trying to give terrible advice nor was I trying to upset her. I was just saying that I've had terrible experiences with birth control and I would of loved to of only gained a few pounds by the pill. Perhaps I should of stated that I do not know much about Yaz as I never took it nor do I know anyone who has. If my advice was terrible then I'm sorry but I still disagree and I stand by what I said. I respect your opinion just as much as you respect the opinion of the person who did not find your advice helpful.
That is the beauty of the whole thing here. People rate advice as they feel it should be rated. Unless they are stupid, vindictive, mean or simply trolling, there is nothing to be done about it.
Had she written you and called you names or something, this all would have gone differently.
Similarly, had your advice been rated a 5, and you left this person unaware of:
(Please take the time to look, it really is as bad as it sounds.)
... then you, by reassuring her that there is no problem, and belittling her weight gain as well, would have been abusive, and it would have been you who were warned over this.
See what I mean?
As it was, she already knew about the dangers, and didn't respond well to you belittling her concerns. So, in effect, her low rating and the comments indicating she knew better than what you were suggesting, save you from being banned/warned.
Sometimes it all just works out. :-)

Yes. It is possible to get HIV from anyone else who has HIV. There is NO safe sexual activity that guarantees you will not get HIV from someone who is infected.

I've known about this website since I was about 13 and I'm 20 now. One time I asked a question and the people who answered my question didn't give me any satisfying advice. One person I rated a 2 or 3 and they reported me for not rating them with a deserving number. I was younger at the time but as I recall, their advice sucked. Why did advicenators ban me from the website for a time and switch the rating on their feedback when their advice was probably the worst I've ever gotten? That's not right. I really don't get it. Usually, ratings aren't changed unless the advice was rated poorly just because it wasn't what you wanted to hear, or you used profanity in your feedback/called the person names or something along those lines.
There are several moderators, and there used to be many more. One reason there are fewer now is that some were removed for improperly handling such situations.
We had one person who used to make fun of every person they banned. Was here for years, wouldn't change their tune and had to be removed, sadly.
So, I don't know if this situation pre-dates mid 2005 when I took over the site, or not... but no matter what the deal, you now have me curious.
Get me the old username, or whatever you can remember about it (old e-mail addresses I might try looking up, etc) and I will see what I can find.

Recently my friend and I have been getting closer and becoming more than friends. The problem is that when we were just friends I remembered that she had had a cold sore. It's not there now, but I heard that cold sores are always there and are contagious. I don't know if I should let her perform oral sex on me. No it is not safe.
Cold sores are a form of herpes. You can get theme on any part of your body. Just as you can get genital herpes on your face, you can get the strain that causes cold sores on your genitals. :-(
Yes, they are contagious even when there isn't an outbreak (sores.)
They are also for life.
Don't do it.

Think twice about where those fingers have been before you. Another girl posted here some time ago about being a virgin, getting fingered... ONCE, and ending up with herpes. It broke my heart that she has that for life, just because she let some guy pressure her into doing that.
Remember: ANY sexual contact (HJ/BJ included) can transfer STDs to YOU.

... However, all sites are different and have different terms and conditions, as well as different methods to which they best respond to removal requests.

Umm...I'm making you nervous? Haha, considering it's 2 am and I just downloaded the JavaRa, well I unziped it and first checked the Java version I supposedly have installed.
This Came up:

Before we go on, yes I am sorry I am computer technical handicapped :(
So no, I did not restore before I ran regedit...Not that I even could considering I never set up backup restore...I'm terrible I know!! And no, I did not export the entries I am sorry...but I will thank you endlessly if you are able to help me out here.
So moving on. I tried checking for updates using Jucheck.exe tool but a pop up that reads:
Java Update Checking Utility (Jucheck.exe) could not be found on your system.
...I am going to guess that's my fault. So don't laugh at me if I try unnecessary tasks.
Well then I tried the download and install latest version, it downloaded and said it was successful...but nothing else happened.
Umm...I'm at a loss. I tried doing a removal of Runtime installer 6, it then said :
The JavaRa definition has been removed. You need to download them before continuing.
So then I clicked download but, it froze up and a pop came up that read :
An error occurred while downloading file. Possible causes; 1)File doesn't exist. 2)Remote server error. Download has been cancelled.
I tried it once more and a different pop up came up reading: Could not make a connection to download server. Please see our online help assistance. This error can be caused by incorrect proxy settings or a security product conflict.
So. I am seriously both confused and mentally kicking my ass for messing with the regedit, since I am going to take a wild guess and say that what you assumed would happen did happen, JavaRa isn't much help do to the fact it can't find anything it needs since they don't exit. Now I'm stuck on what to do next.

Explain to me why that looks like english but sounds alien to me...
I have no clue as to what you want me to do there, or now...

Oh but on a side note, yes I vow to NEVER mess with the registry EVER again. :(

Glad to hear you have learned your lesson. ;-)
Ok, now... the alien phrase:

Download Java JRE (Java Runt-time Environment) 6_26.
Install it.
This should install over the top of the one you broke by deleting parts from the registry.
Then try uninstalling it again. First using the regular un-install method, then, if that fails, JavaRA's uninstall feature.
Did that help de-martian it a bit? :-)
The only problem I foresee is there may be enough left of 6_26 that the installer will know it is already installed and refuse to overwrite it.
If that happens, let me ask you a simple question:
Is it currently causing you any problems, now that you have the new java version installed?
If not, then leave it alone. Removing it by hand would be something you would want a pro to do, and it would not be worth the money.
Only other solution would be to re-install windows from scratch to avoid the cost of professional registry un-screwing-up(tm.)
If you are still having problems with Java apps, then please provide whatever new errors you encounter, and we will see what can be done about this.
