Exercising helps a ton. Try something to get your mind off of your stomach. Example, go shopping, or go outside, or hang out with your friends.
A heating pad also feels great.

well i have to volenteer at a retirement home, and im kind of nervous. I want to meet someone nice that I can go visit every once in a while. Any ideas of how I can introduce myself and what I can say to make them like me. Cuz I'm a little freaked out that I am going to meet a grumpy old person.

With elderly people, or "oldies", you never know how they act. They sometimes are confused, sick, or have mental/illnesses. So you never know who you are going to meet. I would just be really friendly, and for a week visit every single person for at least 10 minutes. Meet people, and try and get to know them. Then you could know who's grumpy/mean. Its really good to be nice to all of them, since they are in their old age, and they don't know whats going on half the time, and are getting old/tired and they could go any day. So make sure you keep that in mind, and just always be sweet to WHOEVER you meet.

It's a very tough situation I've been in numerous times. It's tough, and always depends on the guy. In your case, hes being stubborn.

What i would do, is talk to him. Tell him that you didn't want you liking him, to ruin the great friendship. Tell him you like him as more then friends, but being friends is just great enough.

Im not that good at making friends either.
I've never moved but when I was about 10 I lost every friend I ever had, and I had to either gain them back, or make new ones. I made new ones.

Just be yourself, be outgoing, funny, and nice. Don't ever be someone your not though. Meet a nice person who will show you arround, or meet someone else that is new. :)

Okay, so I like this guy. Uncommon, eh? Not really. I dropped [this great guy who I liked for a good year and he liked me back just the same] for him (This was about 3 monthes ago). You could always have a friend ask him for you. "Would you ever go out with ___?" See what he says. If he says no, well then, sorry babe! Hes not interested. If anything else on the "Yes" lines, go ahead and just ask him yourself!! Because you'll already know he'll say yes!

If he has aim, or a myspace, you could ask him out online yourself. That way you don't have to say it to his face.

Or, you could simply write him a note, and give it to him secretly, after school. Tell him to read it alone, or something.
