Q: i want to resign from being an advicenator how can i

quit visiting the website.

4.)what IM programs do u have(list all, if u don't have any say none, ex. AIM yahoo msn ect...)
5.)grade your in(if aduly, wuts ur degree, diploma, or like masters...)
7.)age within then next 3-6 months
8.) number of siblings
9.)internet u use(dial up, roadrunner, msn, yahoo ect.)
10.)county u live in (if USA then state)

i said i needed it for skool, and were supposed to get opinion of different people that we don't know, this is the only site i know of where i can do that

So y did it get deleted
i said they only have to answer the one's they want
now i won't be able to turn in my project
i know this site is for advice, but i really really need to get this project done and handed in wit results by august 9th, what gives?

Q: There should be a topic on what does something mean because there is alot of that sort of stuff like what does this mean what does that mean

technically, that's not really advice. they could use google to find out half that stuff, if we add a category it'd encourage it.

Q: I think that there is this one girl who is asking all of these questions, not that it's bad that she's asking these questions, but she's rating everyone really low on purpose and saying that we suck, it's not only me, it's happened to about three different people. I don't think that the Admin is actually looking at that, are they supposed to look at the personal inbox questions?

Q: I'm sorry for bothering you again. On my column, I clicked on "more" underneath my favorite columnists list and it took me to the "Not Found" page. I went to several columns and did the same thing with the same result. I know this isn't very important, but I thought I should tell you. I was curious as to why it's doing this, and if someone was going to fix it.

you can't use the "&" symbol, it screws up the system. sorry the registration didn't catch this. I've made your username keelykierstenlisa and it should work okay now.

Give lots of good answers, and eventually people will get to know you.

Q: Hi-I've been on advicenators for a while, and I became a level I mod. Recently our internet account had to be transfered from my mom's name to my dad's name, and while SBC was changing it, we didn't have internet for a month. I finally got back on today and my mod status was gone. Can I get it back somehow? My average rating is 4.75 and I've answered 99 questions at the time of this letter. Also, I will be on vacation for three weeks starting tommorow. If I get my status back, will it disappear if I'm not on advicenators for those three weeks? There's no internet in the place I'm going.

If you're not active for a few weeks, it takes away your mod status. If you answer some questions you should get it back after a few days - let me know if you don't. Thanks!

We are advertising, but if you know of other places to advertise let us know! We mostly run ads on google because they're cheap - we don't have enough money for TV ads or anything. It'd also help if people would link to us more. Seriously.

We're technically geared towards everyone, we've just had trouble recruiting adults. Get some friends of yours to join... I'm an adult and wish there were more of us here, really I do, but I can't seem to get them here.

I don't know of sites like ours, that's why I started this one.

Q: hey i think that the column font and style should be able to be changed, because sometimes i cant read the font because it is too thin on my page.

I haven't heard other complaints. It would help if you'd tell me what browser you're using so I can check it out myself - it's tough to find a font that pleases everybody.

I probably didn't ban you, it was a moderator. They state reasons when banning people, and I don't really question them because they're doing an important job. You'll just have to avoid being a moron.

Q: I really want to be a moderator, but I think the reason I'm not is because my sister asks really goofy questions on my site and gets me banned. So if you could tell me how to get to be a moderator, that would be great.

being a moderator isn't that great. you don't get extra stars by your name or a special icon or something, you're just expected to rank questions for the good of the website. so you're not missing out that much, don't worry. currently, we have enough moderators so I kicked all "once banned" people out of consideration, but someday we might add a time limit (if you were banned a month ago it's okay, or something like that)

no. if people want answers to be private, they can e-mail you.

it's too hard to tell who's pictures are who so we don't enforce rules about fake pictures. you'll just have to deal.

Q: I notice that some of the latest questions that people answer don't get answered . I think you should've stuck with the old system where someone asks a question and their question will be seen imediately on the 1st page when they click and see the questions because, they can see if there questions truely went through correct .

I wish I could, but we're getting SPAMed. There are too many idiots trying to sell weight loss pills instead of asking advice, and we can't keep up with banning them.

This advice column is for suggestions, comments, or error reporting about advicenators. If you'd like to suggest a new category, ask me a question. If you'd like to whine, bitch, or complain about advicenators, you may whine, bitch, or complain to me.

Three rules though:
1) Do not ask me for life advice. We have several thousand other members that do that.

2) Do not ask for help, or ask how to do something, or ask about
how something on the site works, unless you've read every word of our help pages and you're sure it's not addressed there.

3) Do not ask me to ban someone or investigate abuse. We have an entire abuse system set up for that.

Some guidelines about suggestions:
If you offer a suggestion that I find interesting, I might just ignore your question so it stays in my inbox as a reminder of something to do. Don't be upset that I don't answer you, and don't delete your questions (because then I'll forget!)

If you have three suggestions, please ask three separate questions, that way I can address each one individually. It's a real pain when people ask one question with like twenty different topics in it; I can't keep them straight.
