Just saw someone ask about their school talent show and thought I'd ask too...but my questions are a little different.
I'm going to do a solo dance to a song from the movie chicago.
(1) Which song do you guys prefer, "And All That Jazz" (first song), or "Hot Honey Rag" (the song at the end where Roxie and Velma dance together)?
(2) If I do Hot Honey Rag: at the beginning of the song, there's a slowed down chorus of Nowadays, where in the movie Roxie and Velma are wearing long robes. Then when the tempo increases, they take off their robes to reveal short flippy dresses. Would that be appropriate for school? (My dress won't be that short of see through, mid thigh length).
(3) Any dos or donts/tips for practicing and performing?

I would do all that jazz, it's cool and you could play it up and be all sparkly. I personally think that it would be more fun to do, but that's just my opinion, break a leg whichever you choose tho!

ok well i am 13 female and there is this boy named alex and he is really really hot and popular and he said that he needs a girlfriend becuz he is lonely and my friend adriana put all these girls names on a piece of paper and gave it to alex so he can rate them and my name was on there and he rated me a 1!!! I am not the prettiest girl alive and i am kinda overweight so what can i do for him 2 rate me like a 7 or sumthing???? and any advice about excrise so i can lose weigt???????

Just because some hott guy doesn’t like you, doesn’t mean you’re ugly or not pretty or anything like that. And it’s good that you want to get fit and everything, go for it. Work out and eat better just to start out, seventeen magazine is having workouts each month for the whole year and try that. But you might want to find something else to motivate you, like that you what to get in better shape for yourself, not for some guy…. Good luck!

just because seniors hold hands, doesn't mean you have to. you can hold hands when it's just the to of you if you don;t feel like making a PDA, which is ok might I add. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Good luck!

people at school are starting to say i smell...
i dont understand, i wear deodorant and i wash with soap when im in the shower...i use shampoo and conditioner too so i cant think of what it could be. they have been saying this for a while and i used to think that they said it just to make me feel bad and it is starting to hurt my feelings...what can i do to smell better? buy hollister perfume, it smells really good. They might just be giving you a hard time though. Ask your mom if you smell, she'll give you an honest answer.

just because you love him, doesn't mean you have to have sex. That's not what love is about. Try your best to keep your promise to your cousin and try and make it a personal goal of yours if your heart is in it.

How do you change your grade point average to like a 4.0 ... I know my average out of 100 is like an 87 so how do i put that into a point... (link)

you average them out. For each A, plug in a 4, for each B a 3, for each C a 2, D I belive is 1, and F is 0. Then you put them together and average them out. If you have all A's, it comes out to a 4.0.

Ok, Recently i told this boy lets call him kyle i like him and i really have major feelings for him and he told me he has serious feelings for me we keep writing to eachother and flirting but i have a boyfriend... lets call him justin and kyle and justin sit at the same table at lunch and usually justin walks me to gym and he forgot about me and i forgot about him and is that a sign to break up with justin and go out with kyle? please help me i know this is confusing but i really need help! i'll rate high! Okay one of my best guy friends is home for vacation. And I really like him like alot but he doesnt know (like no one told him). And I want to go to the movies with him tonight but his cell phone and computer arent working. So should I call his house (even though we hardly ever talk on the phone and if we do its on his cell phone) and if so what should I say?

I you like him that much and he's only visting for a short time than I would call him. But I don't know if I would invite his friend along. After all, you want to spend time with him and having his friend along might leave him (the friend) out or you could end up getting left out. Just call him and be like, "Hey, are you busy tonight, I wanted to see if you wanted to go to a movie?" good luck!

im 14 and i am IN LOVE with this 7th grader (ima 8th gradeR) well i was gunna tell him on vday but i didnt get a chance to. so the next day i was gunna hug him & tell him how i felt & then kiss him on the cheek..then my so called "friends" went behind my back & told him & now hes not talkin to me..today he said lik one thing & that was about our how-to presentation..but he keeps starin @ me..does he like me? should i get over him? oo & we have 2 classes together & thanks to my firnd with a BIG MOUTH told the wHOLE calss!! & it think he got nervous or embarressed..(I DID) & so now i think i chased him off...but i dont kno what to do..i really love him.. You need to tell him how you feel yourself. He might think that your friend is starting rumors and giving him a hard time. If you know you love him that much, than take the time to set the story straight, it will be worth your time, trust me. ;) Good luck!

I like this guy at my school. I'm not sure if he likes me or not. He's a senior and I'm a freshman. We are friends, and his best friend is my brother. I want to become more than friends, but I'm not sure if he does. My parents and my siblings don't think I should date or anything of that sort. This guy is not like any other guy I know. He's special, I just don't know how to tell him that. I'm also not sure if he likes me. Whenever he's doing something, he always persuades me to go. And if I'm not going to do something, he then says, "well then I'm not going." I don't want to say anything because that would be awkward at school and church. I think you should see where he stands and talk to him about how he feels. Your never going to know how he feels if you don't talk to him. Who knows, he may be crazy about you but not wanting to say anything because of your brother and you parents and the whole not dating sitation. I'm your age, and my mom is the same way. I think that if he does like you, you could work something out between the two of you, until you can convince your parents that you're mature enough to date. Good luck!

You buy the fabrics pre-cut and then sew them on. You can get them at Hobby Lobby or Micheal's or something.

i would just get out and run. I play basketball and we do down and backs, deffence shuffles, and backpedal. Do like, 1 down and back, and then deffence shuffle to the opposite base line and then back pedal back. Do like 5 to start out on your first time and work your way up as you go. The good thing about this simple stuff, is that it can be done really fast and it still gets the job done. Good luck!

Don't worry about the hug, just enjoy the moment. If you're nervous, it won't be natural and you won't enjoy it as much. About the deoderent, try a gel, that's what I use, and it's strong and covers up odors really well! Hope I helped!

make him something yourself. The best gifts are ones from the heart and he'll apperciate the time and effort. Or better yet, cook him something. Guys love food. Cookies, or a cake or something. He'll love it! Good luck.

okay, i have a friend, and i'm really close to her, we've been friends for a really long time and i just love her to death! almost like a sister! but anyways, just recently she told me about her boyfriend...he doesn't want her to talk to any guys, and he says if he ever catches her, he will kill her and him...and he's not just bluffing, he is really serious about the killing. also, they recently had sex for the first time, and the day after he wouldn't talk to her, but then he said "i'm sorry, come over to my house after work" those were his exact words! he wanted her over there so they could have sex. he won't wear a condom unless she threatens him that they're not going to have sex unless he does. also, he gives her hickies and she asks him to put them in places that can't be easily seen so she can't get in trouble, but when she asks him to he gets mad and bites her on the next, hard, leaving big places, in visible spots. i'm sorry this was long, but please help.

Your friend needs to tell a trusted adult what's going on. He has no right to do this to her. And you can support her and back her decision to tell someone. This is horrible, and I doubt it's going to get any better as time passes. She needs to get help now, before this gets even worse! Good luck!

ok sorry if this is kinda long....this is really hard for me to talk about ive never talked about this with anyone other than my aunt...
ok so my 28 year old aunt came and visited me and we are really close...and i was telling her that i think my parents are growing apart...and she said "no offense sweetie, but ive kinda always had a theory that your dad is gay, i mean me and your mom talk and the last time they had sex was when your brother was concieved...10 years ago" and naturally, i did take offense but i didn't tell her...the truth is is that ive always kinda thought the same thing but i haven't told anyone. ive been thinking about it recently because i caught my dad flirting with his boss (who is gay and tells everyone that he is) and my parents haven't spent there last two anniversaries together! my mom was out of state so my dad decided to spend them with his boss!! my dad also uses phrases like "oh my gosh" and "whatever" in a velley girl way...and he is very into fashion...and he is very feminine in everything he does....i mean hes not tall and buff actually quite the opposite...hes about 5'3 and 160 lbs.! I don't know what to do...some of my friends have asked me if hes gay and it really hurts me...but now...im starting to believe them...please help me! What should i do?? should i talk to my mom about this???

I would talk to your mom, and open up and be honest. I wouldn't just straight out go "is dad gay?" just let her know that you're concerned about their relationship and it's worrying you, and see what she has to say. You could also talk to your dad and see if he can open up to you. Hope I offered some sort of help!

This is SO werid and ive never heard anything like it before but ..please dont delete it because i reallly need help!! Well, my nipples hurt so bad! I mean theres like a burning feeling. At first i thought i might be cold but i put on a sweater and put a blanket over me but nothing worked! so it couldnt be that!! Is it normal for nipples to HURT this bad? I know what you;re talking about. Your breasts are just developing. It's normal, the same thing happend to me, and it will keep happening too. Another thing is that you might be about 2 start your little "time of the month". It's normal, don't worry about it.
