ok so I've had my period for a year now, and i've never used a tampon... is that normal?
another question is what tampons do you suggest for starters? If it helps I play a sport.
And last question- When i wear pads... I always have this feeling that my period is leaking through my jeans in school. But really its not. I don't know how to explain it, but it just feels really weird.
What are some ways to prevent my period from leaking? and What are some ways to make less blood come out, so I feel safer?
thnx, much appriciated
It's perfectly normal that you've never used a tampon. Some women simply prefer pads over tampons, and that's fine.
I'd suggest a junior sized tampon with an applicator since you've never used one. Tampax Pearl makes a good junior tampon.
You can prevent your pad from leaking by changing it every 4-6 hours. The only way to decrease menstrual flow is by going on birth control, even still, not all women have lighter periods while on birth control.
does anyone know what is on the permit test for driving, good things to study/know, good sites for online practice tests and things to know.
thanks.
Road signs and drug laws are good to know.
You didn't say what state you live in, so I'm just going to give you Tennessee's practice test.

You can google "[insert state you live in] driver permit" and find your state's DMV.
i heard that if you get put on accutane [sp?] that is mandatory to be put on birth control as well because it causes guarenteed birth defects. is this true?
Even if you choose abstinence as your primary birth control, they still write a prescription for birth control.
You don't have to take the birth control if you stay abstinent. However, if you become sexually active, you MUST be on a primary (usually birth control pills) and a secondary form of birth control (usually condoms).
It is IMPERATIVE that a woman does not become pregnant while on Accutane. It can cause an unborn baby to die or severe birth defects.
Feel free to ask me any questions about Accutane. I'm take it.
ok so my boobs are not as big as i want them i am 15 115 pounds and only have an 32A it sucks and i am so ugly so that doesn't help i plan on having sex soon how can i make my boobs larger
You can't without surgery.
where can i download free music (not bearshare, imesh or limewirE) somethign safe for the comp
I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I figure I'd tell you. Music downloaded from file sharing programs tends to be pretty safe as long as you have anti-virus and anti-spyware software. However, I don't recommend downloading software or zip files from file sharing programs. Those can contain viruses, spyware, etc.
how do you use the pads when you have your period?
The person below me has the directions on how to use the pad correctly; however, you CANNOT get TSS from pads since they are worn outside of the body. You can get TSS from leaving a tampon in for too long.
ok i hreard a song

i tried limewrie and typing for the children of the world but idk its being gay.
this is driving me crazy because everyone i know is giving me different answers, but did they raise minimum wage or not? im in georgia if it makes a difference.
Nope, the House and Senate are currently working on it.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007 on 10 January 2007 and the U.S. Senate passed its version on 1 February 2007, calling for a gradual increase in the minimum wage to $7.25 per hour by 11 March 2009. (The two bills must be reconciled in committees before being sent to the President.) If signed by President Bush, the first increase will take place 11 March 2007, to $5.85.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._state_minimum_wages
This is kind of off topic, but raising the minimum wage really doesn't do anything. Minimum wage employers have to pay their employees more, therefore, more people get laid off. Retail stores charge more for their products (things like grocery prices will go up), making people pay more sales tax (not necessarily percentage wise).
does anyone know the requirements for working at abercrombie kids or if not that hollister or regular abercrombie? and do you know how the wages are? how old do you have to be to work there?
thanks.
This applies to both regular A&F and Abercrombie kids:
I know someone that works at A&F now. You can wear any clothes without a label/name on it. You can also wear Hollister Co. clothes since A&F owns Hollister Co., although the managers tend to frown upon that. They "encourage" their employees to wear all A&F.
They offer a 30% discount to their employees.
Also, you do have to be 18 to work at A&F.=\
At Hollister:
You have to follow pretty much the same "appearance" rules, but you only have to be 16 to work there. Also, same rules apply with the discount.
All three places offer near minimum wage.
I have acne on my face, chest, and back. My dermatoligist told me about Actutane, and I was just wondering if anybody have any information or personal stories about it. Thanks :)
I'm on it right now. I currently take 40 mg. I started out at 20 mg, then my dermatologist increased my dosage to 40 mg.
I do recommend Accutane. However, it does have serious side effects. It can VERY harmful an unborn baby. Therefore, you must not be pregnant or become pregnant while on the drug. It has been linked to depression. Also, it can be damage your liver. It is advised to not drink alcoholic beverages while on Accutane. It has been known to make your cholesterol spike.
You must go to your dermatologist every month. Your blood (A LOT of it) will be drawn monthly. Also, you have to urinate in a cup for a pregnancy test monthly. Your prescription can ONLY be written for a 30-day supply of Accutane.
I warn you, the Ipledge program can be very frustrating. You can be "locked out" of the system for one month if there is an error and you won't be able to get your prescription for thirty days.
The 40mg dosage gives me bad headaches, although it does dry up the oil in my skin. The 20mg doesn't give me the headaches, but it doesn't dry my skin out that well.
16/f- I live in Illinois, and my best friend and I are going to Fort Myers next weekend. We are leaving Friday and coming back Tuesday evening. Sounds great right? I'm freaking out because I've never flown before! My friend has, but she's never flown without parents, so we are going to have to handle everything on our own. And, we have to change planes once on the way there, and once on the way back, one of our layovers will be at the Atlanta Airport, which I've heard is really easy to get lost in.
So my question is Do you have any Flying tips or experiences that will help me? How to handle things, what not to bring on the plane (especially regarding the new rules), or anything else? And any personal tips? Thanks so much!
Be careful about bringing things like lipstick, liquid foundation, lotions, etc in your carry-on bag, including in your purse. If you do want to carry items like these on board, you must put them in a quart size Ziploc bag so they can be scanned while you walk through the metal detector. Also, while going through the metal detector, you must take off ANY style of shoe, even flip flops.
It is much easier and more efficient to check your bags rather than carry them on.
If your flight is through Southwest Airlines, (I'm not sure if other airlines do this, I've only flown with Southwest) you can get your boarding pass up to 24 hours before your flight. I highly recommend doing this.
Be sure to bring gum on the plane to help with the "popping" of your ears.

If you're flying Southwest, this site should be helpful:

Okay, I'm straight edge and have been for a while but all of a sudden I realized that medicine such as Advil or Midol or medicine of that sort is a form of legal drug. But straight edge is no drinking, smoking, casual sex and DRUGS.
Do medicine like that count as drugs or not? [Not using it to a degree where it turns illegal but for purpose like a headache or something]
Using medicines as directed is not considered a drug by the SxE community.
Nice to see people actually abstain from drugs, smoking, drink, and casual sex. I don't partake in any of those activities, I just don't consider myself straight edge.

so i'm a fifteen year old girl.
i've had sex before with my boyfriend with condoms and it's been all good.
until today, we had it with the "mint tingle" from trogen.
we went all the way
and it broke.
we didnt notice it broke until he cumed.
so my questions are
what should i do? i've cleaned my self out a lot. we got it (or most of it) before it got in, i cleaned it with water and i'm about to go shower.
and what are the chances of me getting preg?
and has this happened to some one else, what happened, and what condom did you use?
Your chances are pretty high if you don't take birth control. You need to go get the morning after pill ASAP.
Nope, never happened to me since I've never done it. =)
I am really bored.People tell me to get a life. How do I do that. Please tell me how I should get a life, get rid of my boredom, meet new people and make new friends. Any answers are appreciated
Is there any clubs at school you'd be interested being involved with? Try those. Do you go to church? Be active in mission trips, volunteer work, etc. that your church might offer.
If your grandmother on your mom's side is Polish, your grandfather on your mom's side is Italian, and your grandmother on your dad's side is Dutch, your grandfather on your dad's side is Italian. Would that make you a full blooded Italian? Or Italian, Dutch, and Polish?
You're 1/2 Italian, 1/4 Dutch, and 1/4 Polish.
with your period is it supposed to have an odor? Because mine has an odor kind of reminds me of popcorn kind of smell, I dont know how describe it. And I can smell it even with my clothes on and stuff? Help!
Also, what are scented pads supposed to do? Do they get rid of the smell or something? And are they not as good to use?
Menstrual fluids tend to have a scent, just as discharge does. Wearing a tampon will generally eliminate the smell. However, it's unlikely anyone else notices the odor when you wear a pad as long as you change your pad often.
Scented pads are supposed to mask the odor that comes with menstruation. They get a bad reputation because the scent can irritate your skin.
ok, what are the worst possible risks you can get from sharing a drink from someone?? basically, this is stupid, but i drank from my friend's bottle at lunch, like seriously a .02 second sip. can i get anythingg at all from that? other then a cold or something.
thanks!!
The only risks you really have is getting a contagious sickness that she might have (mono, flu, cold, etc).
Okay, random qeird question[s]
1. Why do you get teary eyes and runny nose when you vomit?
2. What's the deal with stomach acid and it being bad?
You get teary eyed and a runny nose because of the force/strain that happens when you vomit.
Stomach acid is mainly composed of hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid could literally, eat a hole through laminate tile floors (like the the tile at schools). Now think of that in your throat and on your teeth. Over time, if people throw up constantly (such as bulimics), they will wear away the lining of the esophagus and wear the enamel off of their teeth.
when doctors say that you should have your period every 28 days, does it mean from the day your previous period stops to the day your next period starts? or does it mean from the day your previous period starts until the day your next period starts?
Your cycle begins on the first day of your period. Not every woman has a 28-day cycle. Some women have 21, 31, and so on day cycles. For example, if I had a 28 day cycle, I could expect another period 28 days from the start of my period.
dude, if it is not a steroid and just vitamins, why does it cause birth defects?
It can cause birth defects because the fact that is such a potent drug. It is basically a VERY high dose of Vitamin A. If it has the possibility of making a grown person's liver fail, just think of what it could do to an unborn child.
