okay so im going to a bat mitzfah. and i have a few questions.
1. Is it formal? Semi-formal? i have a nice dress, one i wore to the school dance, is tht good you think? it was very nice, black & white with flowers and some lace.

its probably formal.most bat mitzvahs are.
that dress you wore to the dance sounds fine.. just make sure you have something to cover your shoulders..[[in some temples its liike disrespectful to have you shoulders showing]]
so just have like a tiny cute jacket or something that matches your dress.
usually you give the person money..so if you do make it a multiple of 18.
yeah you should do something cute with your hair like curl it or something and you should wear make up since there is probly a party after the service and its a special occasion.

Ok, on myspace this guy whom I have never met asked me out. He is a friend of my best friend, so I know he is real. She says that he is a an awsome person.
We talked on aim, and on myspace, and he seems like a really good person, I really like him (not a crush yet but I am interested). So basicly he asked me if I wanted to come over to his house so we could talk and get to know each other.
I am a little bit nervous about meeting him; I have never been on a blind date before (if you could call it that). I don't really know what we are going to do, and what I should expect.
If you have ever been in my situation, can you tell me how it went for you? What did you guys do?

well ive never been in this situation before, but i can understand if youre nervous. instead of just going to his house alone..cause youve never met him before..bring your best friend who he is friends with. and maybe that person can like bring a date or a friend so things arent totally awkward.
this way you wont be at his house just hanging out with him and it might make the environment more comfortable for everyone. goood luck and i hope things work out!!!

Ok some of might read the questions I had about this guy named Brent I met at the club and everything. we dance, we talk about everything like we have known each other for yrs, we have even kissed and I don’t kiss just anybody. It was all going great until something that he said. I had wanted him to come up to my town one day(we live 2 hrs apart and the club is an hour away for both of us) and I basically got shut down, he said “no I don’t think so, it is so far away, and gas is too expensive" I only wanted just one day no more. so I am hurt that he shut me down after I went all the way to where he lived.
Any who I have this other guy that I have been friends with since High school. Chris. well I kinda knew Chris always liked me but then I was not into liking guys that were younger then me.(He is over a yr younger then me and I know that was a silly reason to not like him. high school was 4 yrs ago and I think differently now.)well even after high school we kept in touch when we weren’t in school or work. Also we went to the same church so we kinda knew each others families. Then 2 yrs ago he had to move to Arizona with his family.( I live in northern Cali) well at his going away party( 2 days before he was leaving) we were watching this movie and wrestling around tickling and we started kissing. I am not really that type of person and there were people around us. usually I am really shy about stuff like that. So I got to hang out with Chris the next day ( last day before he left) so we have been trying to keep in contact since he has been down in Arizona. Sometimes there would be spurts like a month or 2 where we don’t hear from one another because of school or work. Also Chris had a spill of bad depression too. Worse than what he has had in the past. which I was able to help him out of it. Never anything dangerous though. He couldn’t hurt a fly. But we have been communicating a lot more lately like we used to. Wants me to go down and visit. he even made an effort to come and visit up here. over 12 hrs of driving. And says he still cares for me the way he did in the first place and would let nothing ever hurt me. He never has and never will. Well he just told he may be moving again but now only an hour away from me!!
Now I don’t really know what to do. Do I try to make things work with Brent or do I wait for Chris to move back? I need reassurance!! Thank you! (link)

wait for chris. it sounds like he likes you and you like him. Brent sounds like he doesnt want to give an effort to the relationship if he isnt willing to drive for 2 hours?! sorry, but thats kinda stupid. yeah gas prices are going up, but if he really cared, hed drive up to see you. especially since you drove to see him. chris seems like an amazing guy and he seems into you. he really cares if he made the effort to drive 12 hours to cali and brent wont even drive 2 hours. chris still wants to see you and cares about you alot if hes trying to get you to visit him in arizona.
if he IS moving again..that would be great! im sure things would definitely work out with you and chris.

approach the girl you think it is. even though you may hate her, set that aside while you talk to her. tell her you wont be mad if she did, you just want to know the truth, just let her know that you arent going to flip out on her if she says yes.
this is probably the only way youll get a straight answer from anyone. remember, this girl is probably feeling somewhat guilty for doing that knowing that ur bf is going out with you.
the people that told you that he made out with her might be right considering he changes the subject or just blames it on you friends. personally, i think if he didnt, he would just say he didnt and he would tell you how much he cares,etc.

seems like every guy i fall for ends up breaking my heart. i was in a 3 year relationship that ended not too long ago. and had a couple of bfs since then, but no matter what i keep getting my heart broken. im ready to give up. seems like there isnt a single guy out there who can "handle" me.

awwwwwwwwe! okay well i can definitely tell youre still having some trouble getting over the fact that you and that guy you were in the 3 yr relationship broke up.and thats hard,i totally get that. if you feel like youre just not ready for another relationship then wait. just dont sulk in the past. dont think about your ex or anything because youll start to miss it.
dont give up! everyone has a special person out there. they just may not have found them yet. thats all. dont get discouraged if it doesnt work with different guys.
just get back into the dating game when youre ready and you think the time is right. just dont wait too long.find the right go or even let him find you!

I just started running again today and i stink! Im so out of shape. What are some good ways to get better at running. I need to get in good shape for fall sports. i know its far away but practices start in summer and summmer is on its way! thankss :] (link)

definitely do lots of jogging during the week and build up stamina. if you have a treadmill, use that too for those rainy days. also, ride your bike! its fun and helps you build muscles for you legs.
if you have a gym near you..maybe like a YMCA go there and go to the cardio room. you can get plenty of workout time there.
also try some jump roping.yes, jump roping. it helps you build the muscles in your legs and you have to have enough stamina to jump rope for long periods of time.
ever heard of suicides? try those. find a basketball court.start at the baseline. then run out to the foul line and back to the base line. then half court and back. the other foul line and back..then full court and back.
^those are tiring so try them later but they really work.
if you have trails at a park run those every couple of days

totally go to bath and body works. they have just about every perfume you can imagine in that store. they difinetly have coconut there and like all sorts of citrusyyyy kinda perfumes.

I know it's not quite healthy to alter your menstrual cycle, but is there any way I can shorten it? I started on Saturday and it's usually a week long, but I'm really hoping that it will be done by Thursday. (link)

there are ways to shorten your period.
you can take a pill that actually causes you to only have your period 4 times a year! and for a very short amount of time too. theres lots of pills to shorten the length of your period.
just be careful and get information from your doctor and make sure that the pill is right for you. maybe research a couple different pills and if you find one you like,ask your doctor.
idk how to get rid of your period this quickly but you can always use the pill for the future.

hi...im really not brainy im not good at spelling lil bit good at reading and im 16 turning 17 soon i dropped out of college a year ago coz i whet and worked i left college coz i was not getting any better at school work...i wana go back to play basketball and learn more but i think it might be to late now but i can go back but when it is class time im not good at working and the xamz are on now and i have not been at college for a year an i would not no what to do in the xamz...people have come up to me and said are u brainy i say no and it iz really shame for me...plz help

college exams are actually almost over =]
so i suggest scouting out some colleges this summer and then get back into school!
theres nothing stopping you except you. just keep telling yourself that you can do it.
go back to school so you can play basketball. keep your grades up to stay on the team.
if you dont think youre ready to go right back to a big state college like rutgers or duke or uconn or those places, try going to a county college first. you can get back into school and then when your ready,go off to a state college.
maybe even if you realy want to,idk, go back and retake junior and/or senior year of high school.
just think positive. it may be hard since you dropped out but just remember why youre going back. your doing this for yourself. just stay motivated.

well theres a few things that can cause acne.
-you could be undergoing alot of stress. and that builds up and causes more acne.
-your hormones could be kicking in and they produce more oil in your skin which causes more acne.
-if you wear makeup[[idk if ur a boy or girl srri] that could be causing your acne too.
-its NOT what you eat.there are myths that oily foods and chocolate can cause acne but thats not true.
-you may be touching your face too much. to prevent that,try drawing X's or writing the word "NO!" on your hands. i know how silly that sounds. but thats wat used to cause my acne, i always touched my face. then i tried the X's and it worked.
i actually just answerred a question about how to prevent acne and what you can find around your house to prevent it. so you can check that out in my column
i realllyyyyy recomend ProActiv! its amazing and works so well. it may take from 2 weeks to 1 month for it to really start working..but when it does youll be so happy with the results!

actually, you dont need to use many different face washes. cleaning your face too many times can actually make acne worse. so only wash your face about 2-3 times a day. you might want to try ProActiv. i know it is somewhat "expensive" [[like $40]] but it really works. i had so much acne but then i got ProActiv and my skin is totally clear. they give you a booklet all about acne..what causes it.how it forms,etc..
for household acne treatment:
-toothpaste.i know that sounds weird but using toothpaste actually works. you apply it to the affected area and leave it on over night. just make sure it kinda dries before you go to sleep. [i recomend using regular colgate or colgate whitening]
-oatmeal mask. cook oatmeal and when its WARM put it on your face.let it dry.then wash it off. do this 1 or 2 times a week
-also,drink lots of water. 8 glasses a day.. because acne starts inside your body, not on the surface of skin
-[i know this isnt something you can find at home] but dont touch your face. there is so much dirt and oil on your hands and when you touch your face it rubs off making acne worse. i know this is hard if you touch your face alot and i used to do it alot too and i found out it caused alot of my acne.
i tried this and it worked..draw X's on your hands so whenever you go to touch your face you see the X and you remind yourself not to.its actually kinda hard but its really worth it
-also dont squeeze ANY pimples or acne you have. squeezing them actually makes the acne worse and can leave scars. when you squeeze the acne it pushes the dirt deeper into your skin making your acne worse.
-if youre a girl and wear makeup look for makeup that says "noncomedegedic" [[i cant spell it but look for a word like that]]
-cucumbers.you can blend them into a paste and put it on the affected area. it soothes your skin and releases any irritation from acne

I don't know what's happening, my and my cousin are best friends ever since we were like 5 years old and well I hate to admit it but like deep inside of me I've been just randomly hating her for the last 2 years.
Maybe because she's kind of copying me? Somehow it's like she snoops at everything I do. Like we're both really high academic students but she's a year older than me so she can do things slightly better then me but is way mroe better then me socailly with relatives and family. Like she snoops in my interests and stuff and TRIES to like it!
Like one time I just got a super cool video from a different palce and my sister told me that when she went to her house she saw a list of movies to rent and all the movies are the movies that I bought by myself. Like maybe I wouldnt' get mad if maybe she asked me to borrow my movies or talk about how she likes it to but the fact that she's secretly liking it or something definitely gives me this suspicious feeling.
Like I like this certain thing for 10 years and she never liked it but recently since a BOY likes it, she all of a sudden 'likes' it when I KNOW that she doesn't. She just saves pictures of it and think she knows but she doesn't.
Ugh..here I go! I love her yet hate her at the same time! Now if I ever talk to her with my best friend all i mentain is what I hate about her or any bad stuff.
It's hurting me! What can i do? I'm techniquely nto back stabbing because I'm nto spreading rumours but I'm just talking out my feeling to my best friend who keeps it all a secret. Am i a bad person? (link)

no your not a bad person. youre just in a bad situation.
she sounds a little insecure and is just kinda going along with whatever someone else likes.
maybe just try distancing yourself from her for a little while. or if you guys hang out alot or talk alot then just kinda say the opposite of what she says.. like if she says "oh i really like that movie" or something like that..just disagree with it and be like "oh well...i thought it was okay but it wasnt amazing" or something like that. just as long as you arent lying to her about it or anything. just maybe try to not talk to her as much unless she approaches you,or maybe disagree with a few things she says. eventually she should stop
or if you want to confront her about it just talk to her and let her know how you feel.

well you could try going to stores like mandee and fossil..or even just go to kohls. mandee and fossil have really cute clothes without those little logos all over them. they dont have writing all over them like "hco" or "abercrombie" on them.mandee has like vintage clothes too and also just like cute different stuff. same with fossil. and you can get some of the same stuff from mandee at kohls for like $5 less. goood luck!

this is kind-of long, sorry. :/
me and my boyfriend jordan have been going out since may 1, and as of now, we've only held hands and hugged, not kissed or anything. but we went to this school dance on friday, and they played our song [ bless the broken road, rascal flatts (: ], and after they played it, he looked at me and went in to kiss me, and the moment seemed perfect and such, but i turned away. he said it got him confused becaus he thought it was the right moment, but i told him i just felt like it was too soon. so just a few minutes ago he told me he wants to kiss me tomorrow after school, but i don't know what to do, because i don't think we've been going out long enough.
so basically, have we been going out long enough for us to kiss?? and please don't say it's up to me, or that it's whenever it feels right, because i honestly don't know.
so is less than three weeks long enough to kiss?
and we're going to the movies on friday, so i know he'll want to kiss me and maybe even make out.

well one problem could be if you have dry skin.
so you could try using like a lotion like vasaline or something on your face
also just try getting a new razor. some razors are just too sharp or just always cut your skin anyway. i had a razor once that always cut my legs but then i got a different kind and now i never get cut.

theres this guy, lets call him.. jon. well, i like jon. i really like him, in a LIKE like way. in the beginning of the year, when i met him, i really liked him a lot. we talked for a couple of days, but then just sort of stopped talking. a little while later we were talking again, and he asked me to sneak out with him. i said yes. we snuck out and made out in his car for like an hour. then, we kinda stopped talking again. i mean, we still said hi when we saw each other at school, but we didn't really talk. winter break came around, and he came on vacation. i missed him really badly. when he came back, he started talking to me again. he said he missed seeing me and hugging me at school and stuff. we talked for a while and snuck out again. then i had sex with him. after that, we sort of stopped talking again. then we snuck out together again, but we didn't really do anything. then we stopped talkng for a bit again. it was always like that. we'd talk for a few days, do something, n stop talking again. last monday, we started talking again. we talked every day. he told me i was cute n called me cutie n stuff. then he took me out on friday. we talked a bit, made out, n had sex. i had soccer yesterday, but after, i talked to him for a while. i had soccer today too, but i talked to him today too. i don't know what's going on. i don't know what he's doing or thinking or whatever. what should i do? i'm not sure whether i'm straight, bi, or lesbian. I go to an all girls school and i have crushes on girls, but when i'm outside of school i'm generally attracted to guys. like once i know a girl for a while i form a crush, whereas if i meet a cool, hot guy i am immediately attracted.
it's hard to meet people because my school is so small.

try going to a place where you can see both girls and guys...since its the summer or getting close anyway..go to the mall,movies,park,swimming, with a group of guys and girls..see who you are more attracted to
i think that when you start to get crushes on girls..youve just known them for so long you feel like you can trust themm...?idk.
but just try being in an environment with both girls and guys.hope that helps!
