I just started running again today and i stink! Im so out of shape. What are some good ways to get better at running. I need to get in good shape for fall sports. i know its far away but practices start in summer and summmer is on its way! thankss :]

Maybe give some free advice about: Fitness? kayybabyx3 answered Tuesday May 22 2007, 4:13 pm: definitely do lots of jogging during the week and build up stamina. if you have a treadmill, use that too for those rainy days. also, ride your bike! its fun and helps you build muscles for you legs.
if you have a gym near you..maybe like a YMCA go there and go to the cardio room. you can get plenty of workout time there.
also try some jump roping.yes, jump roping. it helps you build the muscles in your legs and you have to have enough stamina to jump rope for long periods of time.
ever heard of suicides? try those. find a basketball court.start at the baseline. then run out to the foul line and back to the base line. then half court and back. the other foul line and back..then full court and back.
^those are tiring so try them later but they really work.
if you have trails at a park run those every couple of days
Sparky_1 answered Tuesday May 22 2007, 11:38 am: build up your stamina by going jogging at weekends...preferably in the morning..and you may not be able to run for a long distance without breaks, but you will improve..when i started i could run past 400 metres without stopping, now i can run 6 miles constantly. :D
