When a boy asks girl a girl out, he's not just doing it because he wants a girlfriend (unless over the phone or computer) he's probably nervous and really likes you a lot that he had the guts to ask you out face to face. It's a big deal for him.

I'm 28 and a SAHM. I currently watch my nephew three days a week. He's a really good kid and everything. I've been watching him since mid November and I've noticed he doesn't know his ABCs and he can't count to 10. I'm the oldest of six children, so I've had my fair share of helping my brothers and sisters with homework. I've asked his Mom to send flashcards with him and I've sat down and went through them and he can't tell me what letter he sees. For example, I'll show him a card with a "A" and a picture of an apple. He can tell me it's an apple but he can't tell me the letter. He'll say it's a "J" or a "P" or whatever he comes up with. I've held up all 10 fingers and tried counting with him and he doesn't know anything past the number 4.
His parents are divorced and they aren't the greatest. His Mom would rather talk on the phone than pay attention to him. I'm really concerned since he'll be going to Kindergarten next year. If his parents won't step up, I feel like I should. I want to help him grow and prepare him for Kindergarten. Any suggestions or help? (link)

It warms my heart that you want to help him. Let me tell you a secret, most kids use their photo memory a lot. By drawing the letter A and asking him whatbit is will not teach him but help him understand. For kids at this age they just want to play so it's going to take time for him to learn. Try drawing the letter A in spikey letters (so it's easier for him to see the letter a) by doing this you first need to tell him the sounds of it, the letter and you meed to use it in a word. Here are some good exersices I came up with
1.) Match letter A to1 letter B to 2 and ect.
2.) hold up pictures and make him guees the picture and first letter
3.) Teach him the abc's song.
4.) Help him write the letters so he gets how towrite them.
5.) trace his finger around the letters and #s
6.) keep quizzing him.
Now doing all these will help him but as you said he,starts kindergarten next year and I didnt know my ABCs till then or how to count to 10 as they taught me in Kindergarten along with the rest. So dont worry the teachers are there so he learns.

I tend to have the same exact problem! What I did about it, is at lunch I went in forastudy session with the teacher. The teacher is there to help you understand things. During a test my problem is im nervous and dont do well. So you need to be confidemt a treat it like homework. Just try this and im sure your grades will improve. Oh, and dont be afraid to ask the teacher questions!

You don't need to change. Being shy is totally fine. First I want to say that people should accept you for you and if they don't, it's not meant to be.
Lots of people dealt with shyness so letnme give you some tips.
-Be confident
-Say stuff you actually know andnot stuff you will screw up on.
-Be flirty/cute
-Remember that everyone may feel the same as you
-Reach out for others

Let me tell you that there is not "right"or "wrong" way to kiss. You just need someone special to do it with and it should be enjoyable. But at 14 you have many years to go. Lots of people havent had their firs kiss and many are afraid to but truth is it can't be pressured and you just got to do it. My friend was 11 when she had her first kiss with this guy and then they went out but idk if they still are.

Suicide is NEVER the answer. More things that are true are we only live once, we live fora reason and someone neds you. You can thinkyour crazy, mental, awesome or ect. but if you think about it for 5 seconds and think "Why am I here" all these things appear in your mind why your here. We go through a phase where we want everything to end but there's no going back when ot does. Think about the people who love and care about you. We live alone: because there's no one whocan always guide us side by side
we die alone:because we are our own person.
For one thing I know, the stuff you say and do in your head is also like a movie but your own. Like say I was thinking of jumping ofa bridge...you see your self doing that and you want to do it but then when you try you realize it's not right andit's part of commom sense. I'm a single mom of three. Two girls (19,9) one boy 18 today. He won't spend time with me. He stays in his room or hangs out with friends. today is his birthday and he doesn't want to go out to dinner with us. wouldn't travel with us for thangsgiving either. Really worried. He gets good grades and is going to a great university in the fall. He also works. But I fear he's depressed, he doesn't like me or worse...Unfortuneately, Dad isn't a very positive influence. This can be very difficult for all parents when their kid is a teen. Think back to when you were 18. What did you do with your family? What stuff did you enjoy? At this age teenagers tend to go through mood swings and they want to be alone. Your son being in his room all the time or hanging out with friends is being a teenager. I suggest you back off a little but also spend time with him. Even playing cards or a game or watching a movie or starting a conversation is bonding with him. If you be nice and not to needy he'll want to spend time with you. Suggest going to the movies or going out to dinner and he can take 1 friend then you get to bond with him at home. Look at a list of what teenagers like to do on google.
Me as a teenager myslef (13) likes to go to the movies, hang with friends, be in my room a lot, go on the computer, text andsame with my older sister. So find stuff your teen enjoys.

Hi, I am 17 female, as if that matters here.. anyway, I am going to Europe for twelve days in about 2 weeks. I have the HTC Evo. My dad called our phone provider which is Sprint and she said that they have a different phone tower over there, so I gathered that I will just not be able to communicate with calling and texts. However, the hotels we are staying in have wi-fi, so would the internet still work on my phone and will my camera still work? Mainly, I am just concerned for my camera, I want to take alot of pictures on my phone and put them into my app called Footprints. Please help! Thanks a bunch! (link)

Yes your phone will work because Europe has service too and your camera will defininatly work if you abbring charger so it doesn't run out of battery. When I went to London and France and all ofEurope my phone worked and I'm from the U.S.
