OK, I was at school today and a fifth grader who I danced with at a dance ONCE asked me out through one of my friends. I'M AN EIGHTH GRADER!!!! I told my friend to tell him no thatnks and I think she DID carry on the correct message but I think he told everyone we were going out and now people are making fun of me because they think I'm going out with a fifth grade russian. I mean, I don't care that he's russian but isn't the girl supposed to know when she's going out with somebody and now I have a dance tonight and I'm afraid he's going to ask me to dance and I really don't want to hurt his feelings but I don't want to get any rumors started again. There are tons of ways to tell a guy likes you.
Some guys tend to show off, to try to get your attention. Others will constantly tease and make fun of you. Some of the guys are too shy to make any major move, so you might just catch them staring at you every so often.
There are tons of different ways that guys flirt, there isn't a definite way to do it.

Why do they become popular? They know all, always know the right thing to do or say, are 100% confident of themselves, and they will sometimes even sacrifice the respect of others to improve their own 'status'.

Ok, you're 13 and 130 pounds. That is not exactly the end of the world. Are you of average or tall build? Because if you are, that's basically a perfectly fine weight. If you're short (like me!) you could stand to lose a few pounds but nothing so drastic as liposuction. Keyword: FEW.
Soccer is a great sport! Oh and you could try cutting back on candy and chips. Drink H2o.

Well if it were me, I would give the guy a chance to get over his breakup before you ask him. Keep in mind he might not want to be in another relationship right away. Just be there for him, and when he's ready for a new relationship, ask him then.

You can tell him you like him, he just doesn't have to tell his mum every single thing. I'm confused by what you mean by the last sentence, are you good friends with him, or his mother, or both? You don't have to be his girlfriend, just be a girl friend. There is a difference.

Well how old are you? It doesn't necessarily mean he likes you, although that certainly is a possibility. Maybe he's just really into himself if he kept on showing off. Are you already friends with him, or on pretty good terms? If so, then I think you should just tell him how you feel. If not, get to know him a bit better first.

When I was going out with my ex boyfriend,*Greg me and his best friend were sort of into each other.Actually really into each other. It turned out Mike was going out with someone else so I dumped him. After that Mike made sure that me and his friend didn't hook up. I was avoiding Mike, so he made sure whenever I was talking to him that he was in the situation. It got uncomfortable for us to be together. So I haven't seen or talked to the friend,*Marc for a while. But I can't get him out of my head.
