dwarp answered Tuesday January 20 2004, 9:56 pm: Give him time. Try to become a friend to him first. I know this one guy I liked for quite some time broke up with his girlfriend, he said he couldn't date me yet because he needed time to "heal". We ended up going out the next year, so I'm glad I let him take some time off. If you ask him out now you may seem pushy and he probably wouldn't like that. Just become a friend to him, and let him know you're there if he needs to talk. [ dwarp's advice column | Ask dwarp A Question ]

aka_kittkatt answered Tuesday January 20 2004, 9:22 pm: Well if it were me, I would give the guy a chance to get over his breakup before you ask him. Keep in mind he might not want to be in another relationship right away. Just be there for him, and when he's ready for a new relationship, ask him then. Cspinoza1 answered Tuesday January 20 2004, 8:32 pm: Well whats the problem? To be honest don't ask him out till it looks as if he is ready to put himself in another relationship. Some guys bounce back into the game after breaking up and some need time just like females, because break ups aren't always easy for everyone. So give him time
