But you know, that's why the condom package says "99.9% effective." It's great that you use protection of some sort, but as a backup incase the condom does break, I suggest taking birth control. Both ways are only 99% effective anyway, so if you have both, the probability that you will get pregnant is so slim it's practically nonexistant. Use everything you've learned about safe sex, even if it means not having sex at all.
AskKortni answered Wednesday January 21 2004, 10:44 pm: It can't go "through" the condom, but the condom can break, if not put on properly. In that case you could get pregnant. Well now that I think about it I remember my sex ed teacher saying something about sperm being so small, they can sometimes go through the material condoms are made of. But theres like a 3 percent chance. [ AskKortni's advice column | Ask AskKortni A Question ]

Cspinoza1 answered Tuesday January 20 2004, 8:36 pm: Yes you can still get pregnaut. Lets put it this way if your not on birth control or not taking the day after pill all other forms of contraceptions are no guarantee. 1 in every 5 condoms have a small whole, 3 in every 20 diaphrams are the same. So when they say the only safe sex is abstinence its telling you that is true. Condoms only lessen the chance of getting pregnaut they don't always prevent prenancy.
On and im not saying to go get on Birth control or get any pills to prevent pregnancy without your parents permission.
MichiruKaiou answered Tuesday January 20 2004, 8:25 pm: If the condom breaks then yes you could get pregnant. But condom's go through rigorous testing first to assure they don't break. But once in a while one will break. [ MichiruKaiou's advice column | Ask MichiruKaiou A Question ]
