I'm a really good singer. All of my friends have said so, and are threatening to take me too American Idol when I'm 16. And I love to sing. But when I go to do it in front of some people I get really nervous and choke up. Any suggestions on how to get rid of my nervous-ness??

oh dear god we are like sould mates.. Yea my county is having this sullivan county american idol thing and my friends and fmaily wanted to put me through it. But I didnt have the money really or else I would have done it.. at least i think. My idea for you is really just to think about what you are about to sing.. and take a deep breath. My guess is that you're prolly like me and are afraid of your own voice.. tel lme if im wrong.. but if you are.. then do what I do and just sing through it until oyu gte used to your voice through the first few notes and then It will be better through there! remember to breathe and think and GOOD LUCK :-D!!!

Hey well none of my parents are home and I have like really bad swollen glands, and I was wondering if like I could take an ibprofin or whatever they are called? (sorry I can't spell) Because they hurt and I can bearly move my neck and head.

yes I think that its okay... but only take one though because they are really srong. Then get a cloth and put it in warm water and put it around your neck. Also get some tea with honey and try to put as little sugar in it as possible becasue that will irritate your throat. and I know that this may sound horrible... but if u want to feel better you have to try this...try sucking on an asprin...(keep the tea with you so that you can wash outthe taste. Its best to do this because when you suck on it the asprin is going right to the problem spot(your glands)
Next thing is to stay inside and get some rest and cover up and get comfy hun! watch tv or read a book or listen to music and wait till your parents come home to baby you! lol.. feel better hun

sit down with your mom calmly and talk to her. Tell her that if she protects you from everything now then you wont know what to do when you get older. You wont be able to get through life on your own and that you will always depend on her for everything, and if she says that thats what she wants then let her know that thats not what you want! hope I helped!

I have this friend that has a cancer but I dont know wut kind and he was doing really well untill the day of my uncles b_day.
We got a call on the phone that said he wasnt doing to well and that they gave him some medicine that they usually give people who are about to die.
I am so worried wut if he dies and we will never be able to see him again.
He is only 17 years old

aww hunnie.. theres nothing you really can do. In times like these theres nothing really that you can do. If he is too far gone then you just have to keep in mind that he wont be suffering and he will be able to watch over you.i knwo that ppl say that suffering part a lot.. and ppl hate to hear it but its true.. like.. how would you feel if you were in all of that pain and in the hospital all the time. Wouldnt you want some peace? just go see your friend and tell him that no matter what you will never forget about him and you love him so much and that you will think about him everyday let him know what is on your heart.. .and if you want to talk more about this IM me on x3ashleybabyx3. hope everything works out and i hope I helped you out a little.

you can use limwire... thats what I have.. be sure to get limewire pro though if you get it... and you can also use kazaa but i wouldnt recommend it cuz it takes up waay too much space on your computer.

ok well,this is sorta a love life thing, but i dont know it has to do with singing. so i was alone after school in the gym and i was shooting hoops waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up and i didnt know my friend was behind me, so i started singing, and then i shot the ball and when it came back down and i got the rebound, i turned around and he was standing there, and i was like really embarrased, even though he said i was a terrific singer. the only person i can sing in front of is my boyfriend, who also says im a good singer. but i dont know, im really afraid to sing in front of people.

I have the same problem... espcially since i am quite confused because I have most ppl telling me that I CAN sing and then out of the blue my music teacher in al seriousness tells me that I can't sing... So my advice for you is just to get cocky about it a little and pretend like you are the best singer and If ppl dont like it then forget it, and when that nervous feeling comes over you, just breathe and think to yourself... I'm good I'm good... And then you will be fine. My first experience with singing in front of people happened in oct. when my school had this Broadway in concert thing and I had to sing peter pan and I hated it so much and I was all alone on stage unlike a lot of other ppl... and so many teachers and other people complimented me. I am still just a little nervouse... but I just breathe and get over it. HopeI Helped!

They average out your ratings and thats how you get your stars.. and if someone rates you lower than normal then thats when your stars go down... so you just have to give better advice and wait till ppl rate you higher again! hope I helped!

I totally think that you should still keep liking him..seriously.. follow your heart. You cant help it can you? I think that your friend totally understands that you like him a lot more and so she is giving you the right away. She prolly doesnt like him THAT much if she let him go so easily in the first place and also she probavbly wanted to be a good friend and make you happy.. soo keep going and GO TO THE GAME! lol

ok well, i was on vacation with all my friends, and i met this boy at the dance, and i was spending time with him, and my friend was the DJ and thought it would be cool if me and my best firned Nicky sang, so we went up and after it was done he was going back to the camper so he gave me a good night kiss and then the boy i met saw it and he went back to his camper and i was like all upset because i thought he like hated me, and then i asked around and got his camper number, so i went over and i was about to walk out from behind the camper when i heard him with his friends, and he was like, "yeah man she was sweet, cute, man.. i cant believe shes got a boyfriend" and i went across and i was like, look he isnt my boyfriend hes my best friend and i really like you.. and he got mad because i was eavsdropping.

im not sure what to do to show him i really like him.

yea, I'm pretty confused as well but all that I have to say is that you should seriously sit down and tlak to them and tell them that its not fair that they are mad at you for making a new friend and you just wantedto chill.. an if they say that its not even that then ask them what tey are mad at you for in the first place and maybe you guys could talk it out... In choir I've noticed this guy staring at me for awhile. In Spanish he fools around and I think he tries to get my attention. When I'm at my locker he waits for the kid next to me and I can sense he's looking at me. He also catches my eye in the hall. Well today in my locker I noticed something on the top shelf. It was a small piece of paper that only said i love you. It was written sloppily like a boy's handwriting. I'm hoping maybe he wrote it. I never talk to him but I really want to. Any ideas on how to do so....because I'm really shy. :-/

you should seriously confront ihm and be like" yo.. on the real for real though... did u really write this to me?" and be all nice and stuff to him and ask him if you guys could chill sometime. Ask him if oyu could get to know him. Tell him that you want to get to know him just as much as he wants to get to know you. Believe me... this stuff works like a charm.

I've had my cat for about ten years now, and lately my parents have said she has been acting strange. This morning I saw her eating out of a Chinese food bag that had been in the garbage, so I calmly said "no", and threw it away. Then I tried to pet her and she moved away. I tried a few more times, she kept walking away. She wouldn't come sit on my lap, though she did come when I moved wiggled my fingers. But she doesn't like it when I touch her at all. We think it's just because she's very old, but we can't really take her to the vet because we don't have a lot of money. However, my parents are thinking about putting her down soon because we don't want to see her in pain and my mother said that she was considering taking her to the vet to see what was wrong. What is wrong with her? Is it really just that she's old? What should I do? (Besides going to the vet, I mean) Thanks a lot : )

i got my first kiss at this campground i go to, and it was with this kid whos always been my friend, and we always hang out with like 8 other people. none of them know that me and him had a connection. well a couple of days ago my brother called me on my cellphone while i was out with my boyfriend and a couple friends and he said that the boy i kissed had called him and told him because he couldnt keep it a secret anymore. so my brother called me and told me he knew, and he was flipping out on me, and i guess he was being so loud that my boyfriend heard it, and he got upset and wouldnt talk to me and was always avoiding me. it was a long time ago that we kissed, but he didnt know that so he thought i was cheating on him, and he got pretty upset. i dont know what to do, because he wont listen to anything i say. and im afraid my brother will tell everyone else at the campsite, and i dont want them to know because then when we hang out things will never be the same.

Tell your b/f straight up that it was a long time ago and that he is the one that has all of your heart. not that other kid but him. He is what your world revolves around and that that is what he needs to understand and he also needs to trust you. Tell him that you would ever in a million years do anything do jepordize the relationship... tell me how things work out with u 2...

This sounds like a girl that I know... But anyways... tell him straight up that drugs really effect ur life and that you really cant have that stuff in your life... But tell him that at the same time you dont want to lose him and that he means the world to you.
