Question Posted Sunday March 6 2005, 1:48 pm

Hey well none of my parents are home and I have like really bad swollen glands, and I was wondering if like I could take an ibprofin or whatever they are called? (sorry I can't spell) Because they hurt and I can bearly move my neck and head.

Hmm..well I mean if you're able to call your parents when they're out, call them. If not gargle with warm salt water. I know, gross...but it helps after a while. Also drink tea (with limited amount of sugar).. and possibly get some rest if you have head, or other aches.

hope I helped.

Wow. Why arn't your parents home??? Call them and ask them. If something happened to them, then ask a neighbor. I don't really know, but garggling (SP?) helps. Eat chicken noodle soup, and ice-cream too. They help :)

Hey, i know my answer is alittle late, but im sure its ok to take one. I would just make sure you tell you parents as soon as possible. You might be sick or it could be a sinus infection, so i would make sure you get it checked out. I would also suggest advil, if you have it. That always does the trick for me! hope you feel better!!! xoxo ash

yes I think that its okay... but only take one though because they are really srong. Then get a cloth and put it in warm water and put it around your neck. Also get some tea with honey and try to put as little sugar in it as possible becasue that will irritate your throat. and I know that this may sound horrible... but if u want to feel better you have to try this...try sucking on an asprin...(keep the tea with you so that you can wash outthe taste. Its best to do this because when you suck on it the asprin is going right to the problem spot(your glands)
Next thing is to stay inside and get some rest and cover up and get comfy hun! watch tv or read a book or listen to music and wait till your parents come home to baby you! lol.. feel better hun

Well im no doctor but thats what i take if im not feeling well. tylennol might help with the pain though. If your parents have a cell maybe call them? if not..id say go ahead and take the IBprofin..just dont take any other medicines with it because your not supposed to. Also..let your parents know what you took when they get home and tell them that your glands hurt. I hope you feel better
