In choir I've noticed this guy staring at me for awhile. In Spanish he fools around and I think he tries to get my attention. When I'm at my locker he waits for the kid next to me and I can sense he's looking at me. He also catches my eye in the hall. Well today in my locker I noticed something on the top shelf. It was a small piece of paper that only said i love you. It was written sloppily like a boy's handwriting. I'm hoping maybe he wrote it. I never talk to him but I really want to. Any ideas on how to do so....because I'm really shy. :-/

Just ask how he is, what's he's doing on the weekend, stuff like that. Good luck! Send me something if you need more help. ♥ Kristen [ ballerina04's advice column | Ask ballerina04 A Question ]
Karen answered Friday March 4 2005, 6:38 pm: Since he is in your Spanish class, you can always ask him if he can tutor or help you out during a study block or after school. Just start simple conversations with him; when you see him, walk up to him and say "Hey, how are you?" and a conversation will start. Once you are used to talking to him, you won't be shy. This boy probably did write this note because it sounds like he does like you or is interested in you.

XxLiiLSiiNgErXX answered Friday March 4 2005, 5:55 pm: you should seriously confront ihm and be like" yo.. on the real for real though... did u really write this to me?" and be all nice and stuff to him and ask him if you guys could chill sometime. Ask him if oyu could get to know him. Tell him that you want to get to know him just as much as he wants to get to know you. Believe me... this stuff works like a charm.
hope I helped...

If you have friends in either choir or spanish, bring the note up in conversation so you make sure he hears it. Like,
"Yea it was the weirdest thing, I got this note in my locker the other day and you would never guess what it said. Anyways, it wasn't signed and I'd really like to meet the guy who wrote it. Wish I knew who he was..."
Something along those lines but don't overdo it. If you don't see a change in behavior say he gets really quiet when you talk about the note, just strike up a conversation with him. Although you're shy, it's really easy to start talking. You could maybe ask him a question on the spanish homework then maybe extend the conversation by intoducing yourself (if he hasn't met you already), and talking about the class (teacher, homework, etc.). You'll be amazed on how a small question could branch off into a conversation of large proportions.
