Today I did crunches and it really hurt my neck. I think that is a sign that I did it wrong...or is that normal? I've recently started working out, like really recently (this was only my 7th time) and I was wondering is it because I'm getting used to it now, is it because I'm doing it wrong or something? I did 70, btw.
I'm NOT a fitness expert, but you should start slower with your exercises, you could really hurt yourself. I'd say slide back to about 20-30, and let your body get used to that, instead of being already up at 70 so soon.

Hi I've been doing this workout routine and so far I have 4 things I've been doing, crunches, squats, and lifting weights to work my arms to diff. ways. But I want to vary it up some time so what are six other workouts that work generally any part of the body? Thanks for advice!
If you lay on your back, with your arms flat by your side, and place your heels on the edge of a chair, then use your muscles to lift your legs, rear, & lower back off of the floor while keeping your hands flat on the floor - it really burns at first, but it tones your rear, stomach, & the tops of your thighs.
Just remember to drink plenty of water and don't get too extreme with your work-outs!

My cousin's best friend recently just died about 4 days ago. She's having a rough time because they grew up together and were extremely close. I don't know what to do, besides be there for her. It's kind of hard when she lives in Boston, though. Anyway, since she's having a rough time she got back into heavy drugs and began to cut herself, again. I'm trying to make her realize that she has to stop all this and face the fact that he's died and try to move on.. without having to cut/do drugs just to get her happy. I'm trying to get her to remind the good times they shared, but it's not working. What should I do with this problem? Any ideas?
It's very difficult to lose a close friend, it's one of the worst things a person can go through. There's usually a lot of anger, "How could X do this to me?" or, "What did I do to let X down? Why couldn't I stop it? Why wasn't it me?"
Nobody likes being told that they're wrong, even if they know they are. Griping at your cousin for your decisions probably won't make her feel any better.
However, if you could let her know that it's OKAY to be upset, that this friend wouldn't want her to ruin her life, and that you do care and she does have a lot to live for.
It takes some time to heal from things like that, but it's important to let her know doing more damage isn't going to solve anything.

My son is 17, but a very socially immature 17, acts more like he is 15. He is a senior in high school at a private Christian school, doing very well in most respects. My coworker is a little dramatic and often inappropriate at work, but a nice person and very generous. Her daughter is a freshman at the high school down the street from my son's school. Her daughter has had many emotional and behavior problems and recently was even hospitalized for more than a week while being treated with medication for bi polar and depression. The school is always calling my coworker about this girl, she is always in trouble. I have tried to be a good friend to this woman, we have cubicles right next to each other. Lately she has been on a kick that her daughter needs to date my son. I slid out of the homecoming dance only for her to try to arrange something further now and even asked for my son's e mail address and cell phone number so her daughter can get to know him. I am certain this is a bad idea. My coworker keeps pointing out that she chaperones all her daughter's activities and would take my son to a rock climbing wall facility and snow skiing and to plays and concerts. While I know my son would likely enjoy these activities, I doubt that having a mentally unstable girl thrust upon him by a very forceful mom who is overly involved in her daughter's life is a good choice. What should I say to get out of this? I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I really don't want to be pushing my son into a relationship with this dramatic family, nor do I feel I should ever chose his dates.
Being a teenager is hard enough without some mentally disturbed, overly-dramatic wacko hanging on your every move. i'm a male, over 20, alone as hell.
i've never been able to get a girlfriend, i've tried and tried.
it seems like some crule cycle with me, meet a girl, ask her out a couple of times, start to like her and suspect she likes me too, try to be there for her and everything, try to move things up a notch, get the "you're such a good/nice/fabulous guy, i just wanna be friends" routine. Then i'll let go of how i feel as much as posible and try being "just friends", then she picks up the biggest jerk known to mankind and i get to sit across the table watching them make out (TORTURE, for those who care). then the arshole will proceed to cheat on her, she's crushed, i have to listen to all the bullshit and cheer her up, only to find her back with the butthead a week later, then a month later he'll cheat on her AGAIN...
by the third time this happens i simply fuck off, cause she's still won't go out with me and she keeps on going back to the total jerk and every month i have to be there for her.
WHAT THE FUCK, girls always tell me what a "NICE GUY" i am and the friendship crap, but why won't they go out with me.
I'm starting to accept that i'll die alone and bitter, and am starting to avoid woman totally.
I just don't know what to do, i'm really starting to lose it with woman.

I used to date a bad boy, who treated me like crap & really hurt me several times, but I kept going back to him - including ruining a relationship with a really amazing guy because of it.
However, every girl interested in guys has to have the Bad Boy phase. Some part of our wacked-out, illogical mindset thinks we can change him, tame him, whatever. We'll deny it, but it's true.
Deep down, we DO want a Prince Charming. We do want the really sweet guy that'll be there. We just probably don't know it yet.

I have this picture and its a great picture except the fact that my eyes are 2 different colors, neither my natural color, and it looks terrible! The one is red eye and the other is like bright gold from the flash! Is there anyway I can get this fixed? Like anything and WalMart or just in a picture program? Thanks for any info!
Programs like Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro could help with that problem. I'm pretty sure either Walgreen's, the drug store, or WalMart has a photo center that could help you. Good luck!

1.) Peer pressure, actual desire to, believing they're in love, or the misguided hope that it will make their boyfriend/girlfriend stay with them forever.
2.) I'm a girl, and I like looking at porn too. It's sexy, it's fun, and it's not meant to have any really deep meaning.
3.) The vast majority of teenagers nowadays are not virgins, and it doesn't change who they are. My boyfriend's been with five people before me, and I still love him just as much as I would if he was a virgin before me. If he asked me to marry him tomorrow, I'd say yes - because he's absolutely wonderful, and his previous sex life doesn't matter to me in the big scheme of things.
There's some people that believe in saving themselves for marriage, but it's not held widely any longer & it's up to YOU to make that choice for yourself, nobody can make it for you.

If you're a virgin, the possibility is VERY slim that you could be pregnant. If your boyfriend's ejaculate got near your vagina, or if you were having "dry sex" through your underwear, it is possible. However, it's NOT LIKELY.
Also, a VERY SMALL percentage of women still get regular periods while pregnant - but once again, it's NOT LIKELY.
Symptoms of pregnancy include weight gain, vomiting, odd cravings, heightened emotions, & for the later months - having to use the restroom more often.

I suggest investing in an ionic hair dryer ( it will say ionic on the box ). Make sure the Ionic switch is turned on, and dry away after applying leave-in conditioner to the tips of wet hair. Ionic hair dryers are used in top salons and are excellent for making the hair look smooth.

Ok 4 about 2 weeks I have been loosing alot of weight! I mean like I have lost 7 or 8lbs in that time period. What I have been doing is not eating ANYTHING from 7:00am to 3:30pm and I have pratacly been starving my self. When I think of Food I get so hungray. But I don't feel like eating. It's very unhealthy, and you will gain the weight back.
When your body is deprived of food, it thinks it's involved in a supreme shortage of food ( as in, if you were in a country where dying of starvation was very common, like some parts of Africa & Cambodia ). Because of this, it stores the fat you DO eat to survive.
I'd suggest doing some simple exercises ( walking up & down stairs, jumping jacks ) and eating healthy foods such as grilled fish with vegetables, and eight glasses of ice-cold water a day.

i feel like a HORIBLE friend! If he's told you that he's cutting himself, he's looking for attention in a very bad way.
If you saw cuts on his skin and he refused to say how they got there, or walked in on him cutting and he insisted it was nothing, he really has a self-injury problem.
I'd suggest talking to your school counsellor, who would be able to talk to your friend, and maybe your friend's parents. True self-injury is a very dangerous problem, and needs to be dealt with appropriately.
