advice

a few months ago i painted my bedroom this elaborate pinkish orange color and its beautiful but its sooo vibrant. not to sound gothic, but im not a VIBRANT kinda girl. i love the color but.. i need to off-set it a little with a darker color bedding or curtains.. any suggestions?

add purple in somehow, whether it is in curtains or bedding or both... that should make it seem a little less "bright".

I need more than one sentence answers. If you give detailed advice on this and reasons why you chose the groups/musicians you will get a 5 out of me. I am generous but expect when I ask advice, as I give detailed ones to you usually as GDROB to get the same back.

I am producing a new radio show with movie reviews, games, trivia, etc. for teens we have chat and forums too, special guests. My biggest problem is choosing music for in between the segments. I wanted some suggestions on acts or solo performers you guys are into. I am trying to develop a playlist really and need guidance.

Also, please understand the music has to be good but squeaky clean. The rules state I cannot have swearing, violence against women, right-winged ideas etc. on the show or I am in trouble. If there are poets, spoken word or actual artists among you send me a note.

BTW, this is not to provoke the ire of the admin. I am not advertising but merely seeking guidance from teens here who know this stuff.

well i dont know how much help i will be because i dont really listen to the music that most kids listen to today, but i cant say for sure. i dont know that kids like what they watch on mtv and vh1 and other things like that.

Ok, when it comes to my school Halloween is the biggest holiday! I'm in 8th grade adn this year is who can have the best costume...and im so into it. I'm gonna have a "go to school" costume and a "trick or treat" halloween costume.I was thinking about being Belle from Beauty adn the Beast or Tinkerbell. I'm really confused and want to show everyone that I'm the best. I want something sexy, fun, crazy, and yet school appropriate. Can you help me think of some awsome costumes! Thanks

Hey, can anyone suggest any fun, random, sometimes pointless things to do on a date with a boyfriend that are NOT related to sex? my boyfriend says he would like to go to 2nd base..maybe even 3rd. the problem is..i know people have so many ideas of what the bases are that i don't know exactly what he means. could someone please clear this up for me? also, we have been going out for three and a half months..is it too early for me too go that far with him?

not if your ready. if your ready then go for it. 1st base is kissing, 2nd base is touching feeling hand job etc., 3rd base is oral sex, and obviously you know what home is.

I have to find a picture to draw for art class. Does anyone know any good sites where i can find some decent pictures? I've been trying google, and nothing good has come up. Any suggestions?

well depending on what kind of picture your assigned to draw you could just look at random picture on google and yahoo and put them together and see what abstract thing you come up with. thats what i do alot of times. if you want more suggestions just ask me or IM me.

For my birthday I'm asking for a great quality digital camera of my own. I would like one that hold ALOT of pictures (maybe in the hundreds-3 hundred range), can take videos, and shoot in black and white but it still in a resonable price for a birthday present. Do you guys know any camera/camera brands like this? I'll rate LottZ!

16/f My boyfriend and I have been together for about 3 months. Our 3 month anniversary is coming up in a bit over a week. I really wanna make it special for him but I keep thinking that all of my ideas are a little too cheesy or not good enough for him. He deserves the best. What should I do for him that would be loveable?

You should spend time together and like have a night where it would be just you two. If you want it to be special make him dinner or something and then watch a movie. Just being together would be great, and you wouldn't get too expensive.

I am getting closed to 18 and I have never had a boyfriend. Now, it seems kind of weird, but I have no problem with it. I've had plenty of shots, but I'm not rushing anything and dont plan to waste time with the wrong guy. {I'm very picky.) My family, on the other hand, makes it seem like a big deal, when it's not. They are always asking me why I haven't brought any guys home, etc. My younger sister, who happens to be a huge slut, made this ridiculous remark that I am a lesbian. Now her and my parents joke about it. And sometimes I think they really think that. (Which I'm not. I'm totally against that stuff and they know it.) Whenever my sister and I get in fights she's always like "Atleast I've had a boyfriend." I know I'm not experienced and stuff..but there's no one I'd want to go out with at the moment. I've already explained this to my family, but they still get on my case about it. I used to be able to ignore it easily, but now it's hard. I already have a low self esteem, and they arent making it any easier for me. Any suggestions?

Sit down with them and talk to them. Tell them exactly how they are making you feel. Tell your sister that just because you havent had a boyfriend doesnt mean your a lesbian. It doesnt matter if you've had a boyfriend or not,just wether or not your happy with it. Your family should tell you this too.

Just talk to him and say, "I was wondering if you like the idea of a school advice column because i know of some people that are too afraid to ask for advice themselves and this way they wouldnt have to be too open about it".. or something like that. Or if you're too nervous to do that have a friend come with and both of you could present the idea.

does anyone know how to make really good smokey eyes like how they have it in the magazines and stuff?

If you have pencil eyeliner turn it kind off on its side, that should make it appear more cloudy or smokey. Then if you want more, do the same on the top or add brownish eye shadow.

okay i'm going out with this one guy and he's got a lot of friends but i guess i never knew how many people didn't really like him but then i went out with him a time before too and he's like the best boyfriend you could ever ask for i mean he likes me for who i am and stuff and a lot of the other guys that like me just want me because i'm "hot" but whatever..and like there's 4 guys that just piss me off because they like me (not to be conceited or anything) but they just get mad at me because i'm going out with him and they want to beat him up because he's going out with me..and i don't even like the guys that like me besides my boyfriend..so if they beat him up i'd like them less anyways..i don't know why they want to beat them up and i always have to stick up for my boyfriend (i mean i want to lol) but what do i say to them to not beat him up?! please help me!! =( i'll rate high if its a good answer!!

My suggestion is to talk to these 4 guys and tell them that by "beating up" your boyfriend they arent going to win you over because your just going to like them even less and your boyfriend even more. That should get them to stop. But most likely they wont beat him up either way, they're prolly just trying to show off to you.

You see.. i got back on weight watchers this week because my school's starting soon (too soon) and i want to slim down so I'm not the biggest girl in my class anymore. What are some fast pace exercises i can do (websites) or what are some tips. The weight watchers is working, slowly, but i want to speed up the process.

Try jogging in place or around your house for like 10 minutes, i know it doesn't sound like much but trust me it is. If thats too easy for you, add more time on to it or do some push up or situps to go along with it.
