Probably not. I doubt the guy is still expecting it. Just play it cool and if he brings it up laugh it off and tell him what a jerk your friend can be sometimes.
On a completely different note. Talk to your mom. Its really sad that you two have so little trust that she reads your diary and you aren't doing anything to increase the trust or communication either.
