i need major help geting over my ex. We have been broken up for like 5 months now and im still having trouble getting over him. I cant get him outa my mind or out of my dreams. We dated for 4 years before he left me. And he left me for some other girl. He wants 2 be just friends and acts like nothing happends. It is really really hard, believe me I know. The truth is it will probably hurt for a very long time, but each day it should hurt a little less until finally one day you have come to terms with it. He doesn't get it, he probably thinks that you would still want to be friends, and maybe on some level you do, but you are just not ready to be friends. Tell him that you want to be friends but right now it is too painful. Focus on other things, don't call him, don't text him, don't stalk his myspace or facebook, just ignore him. It is hard to do but I know it can be done. Someday you will look back on your past relationship and value it based on what you learned about love. But until then hang in there and hold your head up high.

well...i cut myself sometimes and like i dont a lot and never even close to deep or anything but i still end up with scars of course. i cut on my hips so no one sees but now im wondering what to do if i get a boyfriend and he wants to finger me. i can't trust anyone but my best friends to know about my cutting and i dont feel ready to tell anyone else because im afraid of what a guy would think. my ex who i told was all wird about it and he was my best friend and i thought i could trust him. i definitely cant. what should i tell a guy if they see??? and would they be freaked out? im getting help and everything so please dont lecture..
Some guys will freak like your ex did, which is a normal response. You could always just lie, but if you find someone who truly cares about you, they will probably be able to figure it out. They might be supportive or they might not understand. My boyfriend was not supportive, and basically told me if I did it again, we would be done. I slipped once and when he found out he was furious. He cut himself, to show me what I had done to him. He has a scar on his arm from it, and it hurts to see it knowing it is my fault. I never cut myself again after that because I didn't want something I did to myself to hurt anyone else. So to answer your question, you don't need to tell a guy anything until you feel comfortable to, I didn't tell my boyfriend for 6 months and it was the hardest thing to do. Since you say you are getting help, when you want to tell someone just tell them it was in your past. Good luck on your recovery.

I really need to get on birth control. is there somewhere i can buy it just like over the counter? or do i have to go to the gynecologist? i am scared to go to gyno because i definitely don't want to be checked out. if i go to a local health clinic would they have to tell my parents? i'm 18 but i'm still under their insurance.
You can only really buy condoms over the counter. You need to have a prescription for the pill, or other methods. If you are 18 your doctor doesn't have to tell your parents, but they would see it on the insurance bill. Your regular doctor can prescribe birth control, you don't need to see a gynecologist. Most doctors will require you to have a pelvic exam before they will prescribe birth control, but it really isn't that bad. Planned parenthood offers birth control for like $14-30 a month.

I really wouldn't worry about it. Just because he has a condom doesn't mean he is going to pressure you into having sex. A lot of guys carry condoms in their wallets or in their cars. At least he plans on being prepared if you do decide to have sex. If he is pressuring to have sex you need to talk to him about it, but don't make a big deal about it if he isn't because it will most likely embarrass him.

Okay, I wrote an essay about this amazing service project that never happened. It was about home repair...I said I started this program and repaired like fifty homes.
so I got selected for the scholarship program I applied for....i have to work 10 hours a week...I told my parents i didn't want to do it and they said either I do it or I don't go to college in the fall and will take a year off. (Theres no way they can pay for my college without the program).....
I don't know what to do...I feel horrible about lying and will never ever do it again...I don't want to do the program, but I want to go to college! It sounds like you recieved work-study, not really a scholarship. Maybe I just misread your question though. It isn't really a big deal, people lie about things on college essays all the time and no one is really going to check up on things. And it is only 10 hours a week which is nothing. College is expensive and I say take whatever money you can get. Just stop beating yourself up about this.

Yeah its normal, having sex puts some pressure on your bladder so it feels like you have to pee. Also its a good thing, because peeing after sex can help prevent urinary tract infections.

Well she probably only thinks its funny because everytime she teases you about it you get upset. Next time shes says something about it just ignore her, once she sees that it doesnt bother you anymore she will stop saying those things. She doesnt sound like a very good friend if she kicks you out of her club, next time she does it to her tell her that you are starting your own club and if she wants to join she can, because you aren't going to be mean to other people.

Well I can't speak for all girls but I think its important to remember its not about how much money you spend, its really about the thought behind it. Like buying her favorite flowers or favorite color flowers instead of the standard roses. Maybe a picture frame with a great picture in it, Gift cards are a little impersonal, but if it is for a store you know she loves then go for it. Most girls love candy. Maybe as a gift you could do something special that you wouldn't normally do, like eat someplace that is a little more fancy than your usual hangouts, go rock climbing, sailing, or something else adventurous. My boyfriend buys me things that I have mentioned, like a book I wanted to read or a movie I was interested in renting, I enjoy that because I know then that he is really listening to what I say.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm 18 and I have been with my boyfriend for over 2 years. He is my first true love, and I feel like we have been through alot together, I mean we've taken 2 breaks, but we are still together. Sometimes I feel the same way, like maybe there is someone out there who would be better for me. I have tons of guy friends that flirt with me, but I love my boyfriend.
Lots of people will tell you that you are still young and don't know what love is, but I believe you because I've been there. I also think that there is still a lot of time before you have to think about the person you will spend the rest of your life with. After all who knows what will happen down the line, maybe you'll decide he really isn't what you want.
If you are happy in your relationship right now, then let it be. If you aren't maybe its time to take a break and think about how you feel. Sometimes taking a break is the best thing you can do for a relationship.

ok so ive never used a tampon before... ive had my period for 5 years, ive just always used pads. my mom said they were uncomfortable and a pain so i never cared to use them, and we live in an area where its cold most of the year, so swimming was rarely a problem.
buuut i have a pool party tmrw & i have my period. i practiced putting them in today & after an enlightening conversation with mother dearest ["hey mom, wheres my vag?" yeah, that was amusing] i actually got it in. but it wouldnt go in all the way, there was still about 25% of the thick part hanging out. the more i tried to push it in [ not hard ] it hurt... it was almost like i could feel it thru my butt.
any suggestions? & can i still go swimming with that much hanging out?
this is the 5th day, not TOO much blood coming out.

It's a little tricky to get the hang of it at first but after a few tries its really easy. If you are a virgin you should probably try using a smaller size at first such as Junior sizes, Lites or Regular size. Then it is helpful to sit on the toilet with your knees apart, and relax. If your not relaxed it makes it harder to insert! so take a few deep breaths. Hold the applicator with your thumb and middle finger with your pointer finger on the bottom of the applicator. Insert the tip of the applicator (try to angle it towards your lower back) all the way,then push the bottom of the applicator with your pointer finger until you hear or feel a click, then remove the applicator. If its in right you wont feel it at all, if it feels weird take it out and try again. Don't worry its normal to have a little trouble.
You can usually keep them in for 4-6 hours depending on how heavy your flow is.

I'm sorry but he will never change. He clearly doesnt treat you right and doesn't respect you. He is only trying to control you, and he does so by telling you he will change. He isn't going to change so tell him flat out that you are tired of not being treated right. If you tell him in person it might be a good idea to have a friend wait in your car just in case, and once you says its over, just walk away don't listen to him beg and plead because you know he will never change. In power point click file then save as. then click on the drop down menu and change where it says my documents or wherever you usually save to the thumb drive. You may need to click on my computer and then select the drive. Different drives show up as different names so it may say Jump drive or removable disk. then you just click save.
If you don't have power point you can download a power point viewer off of the Microsoft website.
