well...i cut myself sometimes and like i dont a lot and never even close to deep or anything but i still end up with scars of course. i cut on my hips so no one sees but now im wondering what to do if i get a boyfriend and he wants to finger me. i can't trust anyone but my best friends to know about my cutting and i dont feel ready to tell anyone else because im afraid of what a guy would think. my ex who i told was all wird about it and he was my best friend and i thought i could trust him. i definitely cant. what should i tell a guy if they see??? and would they be freaked out? im getting help and everything so please dont lecture..

You could always just lie, but if you find someone who truly cares about you, they will probably be able to figure it out. They might be supportive or they might not understand. My boyfriend was not supportive, and basically told me if I did it again, we would be done. I slipped once and when he found out he was furious. He cut himself, to show me what I had done to him. He has a scar on his arm from it, and it hurts to see it knowing it is my fault. I never cut myself again after that because I didn't want something I did to myself to hurt anyone else. So to answer your question, you don't need to tell a guy anything until you feel comfortable to, I didn't tell my boyfriend for 6 months and it was the hardest thing to do.
