Hold down the reset button on your router for 20 seconds. Then log into its configuration with the default password and change the wireless password.
The default password for Linksys routers is:
Username: leave blank
Password: admin
Read the manual or look online for other routers.

Okay so for the passed 3 day I have been having problems with the internet explorer on my lap top. When I click on internet explorer the web page opens (and fully loads) But then a box comes up that reads " Internet explorer raised unhanded exception in third party module and should be closed" I have no idea what that means and it is the only browser i have on the lap top. I really need to fix this because it is the only computer i can Access daily. Please explain carefully I don't really know what im doing.

I just got an iTouch & it won't connect to wifi. At home I have a linksys router, and the network name is Orange. My home apple computer connects to it easily with the WEP password.
However, on the iTouch, i can't connect to the internet. In "settings", it displays the network (Orange), but when i click on it, the iTouch says "Unable to join the network"
When i click on the more information tab for the network Orange, it asks for the IP address (DHCP BootP or Static) and i'm not sure what to select.
Other information includes Subnet Mask, Router, DNS, Search Domains, Server, Port, and Authentication. What should I enter here?
Any other general tips to connect to wifi in other areas, not just at home?

Use DHCP and leave all of the other settings blank. The iTouch will need to know that you're using WEP and what the password is, so find that option and change it. Make sure that you're also using the correct wireless connection; there might be a few in your area.
WEP is terribly insecure, and it will take anyone in your area just minutes to start snooping on all of your unsecured traffic. I recommend WPA2 instead. You can change this in your router configuration.

i have a AT&T pantech matrix.
no usb cable came with it, and i dont have a micro SD.
i do have iTunes though.
so how do i put music on the pantech matrix?

The USB cable is unique to the phone. It's not a generic USB cable. It'll be easiest to buy it from AT&T, but you can also buy it online. Make sure you get the correct cable for your model phone.
You'll also need a generic microSD card. You need both the microSD card and the USB cable.
Alternatively, you can buy a microSD reader instead of the unique USB cable. It'll be more trouble to transfer music to the phone this way, though. Readers are very cheap:

This is the procedure you would follow if you're using the unique USB cable:
-Use the CD that came with the cable to install the drivers. If no drivers are on the CD, skip this step.
-Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable.
-A menu might pop up on the phone. Choose "mass storage".
-A new drive will be in "my computer". Move music to it.
-Unplug the USB cable.
If you're using the microSD reader, do this:
-Plug in the microSD reader
-Put the microSD card into the reader
-A new drive will be in "my computer. Move music to it.
-Click the "safely remove hardware" icon in the lower right of your taskbar. Click the new drive.
-Take the microSD card out of the reader and put it into the phone.

Has anyone ever had a 5 Hour Energy drink before? I tried one for the first time and have had more suicidal thoughts than ever. I'm also feeling kinda tired and want to go lie back down for a while.
I took it to help study for exams coming up next week, if anyone is curious. I'm not even really sure why I'm asking this, I'm just a mix of being tired and awkwardly erratic, coupled with being more... I don't know, casually suicidal than normal? I certainly don't want to study right now.
I'm feeling the beginning of a headache as well, going to lie down for a while and read responses when I get up if this question doesn't get deleted. I suppose this isn't the greatest of questions, either, sorry for that.
I use 5 hour energy and other energy drinks pretty frequently. The flushed/warm feeling is from the niacin. The headaches and "out of it" feeling are from the caffeine. Caffeine stops you from being too tired, but it also prevents you from storing memories properly. It's fine for taking a test or doing mindless tasks, but you'll have a hard time studying.
Reduce your caffeine dosage next time. Drink only half of the 5 hour energy container. And any suicidal thoughts worth mentioning on Advicenators warrants concern; visit a psychiatrist.

The only thing you can do is make your Myspace account private. It's impossible to allow people to view something on the Internet and simultaneously prevent them from copying it. No code will help.
I don't know what "blog safe mode" is, and I can't find it on Myspace. It does not prevent people from copying your stuff, since that is impossible.
If you wrote the blogs, contact Myspace, telling them specifically who copied your content. Give them a link. They will take it down, and probably ban whoever copied your material.

Ok here's what my problem is:
I have a windows xp machine and an ubuntu 8.10 machine.
The two have no problem sharing files.
I can rdp the xp machine from ubuntu.
I cannot however connect remotely to the ubuntu machine.
How is this normally done. I checked the allow remote connections in ubuntu, and I forwarded port 22 in the firewall, and the connection is refused using putty.
I don't really want to connect in a shell anyways either.
It would be great if someone could either tell me or link me to how to remote an ubuntu machine from xp. Preferrably with a gui.
I did try to find this myself but google kept giving me "how to rdp xp from ubuntu" which I can do fine, I just can't do the opposite.

Linux doesn't use RDP. That is a Microsoft protocol. For similar functionality, you need to install a VNC server on Ubuntu:

Then install RealVNC or UltraVNC on your Windows computer. The VNC client on Windows and the VNC server on Ubuntu need to be using the same port, and it must be forwarded. The default port is 5900.
VNC can be used as a server on Windows, too, and I think you'll find it to be much easier to use and more powerful than RDP. UltraVNC SC could change the way you give tech support:

I don't know if this is the right forum or not , but ok here's what happened. I am the IT guy at a mid-sized company, and people perpetually beg me to get them ipods and laptops etc. because I run across great deals all the time. Well I ran across this sweet deal for a dell I don't recollect the model , but it had a nice dual core processor and 2 gb of ram and vista ultimate. I looked it up at the time and retail it was a $800 product. Well the person I bought it from is not a good business man and I always get ridiculous deals from him. I got this laptop for $200, and my boss was wanting it really badly so I sold it to him for my price.
A couple weeks later I come to find out that he just flipped it for profit. It really pisses me off because I COULD HAVE FLIPPED IT FOR PROFIT, but I am trying to make sure that those around me have access to getting some of the cool stuff that I have access to.
I am positive that I told him I didn't have a problem giving it to him for my cost, just as long as he kicked me down if he sold it for a profit.
Well he didn't even tell me he sold it, I happened to hear it through the grapevine, so I asked him. He just smiled at me and said yep he did. I told him he should kick me half the profit, and he basically just said I could have bought it.
It really pisses me off because OF COURSE I COULD HAVE BOUGHT IT. I am not an idiot and know what the product was worth. I didn't sell it to him as a business deal, it was a personal favor and I feel like he slapped me in the face.
Everyone at my work goes through me to get good deals on electronics , but NO MORE!!! this ticks me off so much I am no longer going to do them any favors. If they want to buy anything from me, I will make sure to turn a profit.

IQ scores are supposed to be curved so that 100 is the average, though not all tests do this. 140 is exceptionally good. 60 is exceptionally bad. 120/80 would be moderately above/below average. 90-110 is around normal.

None of them except #5 would be very good for gaming. You need a graphics card for gaming, which none of the others have. You might be able to play WoW on #2, but I wouldn't want to.

All modern computers *can* access the Internet with speeds in excess of 100Mb/s (which is extremely fast), but they are limited by your connection. Buy a faster Internet connection if you have lag issues.

That appears when Internet Explorer has blocked cookies according to your security settings. Perhaps Spybot: Search & Destory or SpywareBlaster blacklisted the cookies for you, or perhaps you have prohibited cross-domain cookies.
Cookies can be used to track which sites you visit, but that is not their main purpose. They will not infect your computer with anything. In general, sites that use them are not trying to spy on you. Since IE blocked the cookies, there is no problem.
Don't change any of your settings. Everything is working fine. You don't want to block all cookies, that will break a lot of things.
I recommend you just ignore that symbol. Many people have caused trouble for themselves when they change their cookie-related settings.
