I need help QUICK!! Im getting my braces tightened for the first time tomorrow and I know to expect pain but how much? And do they hurt WHILE he's tightening them or AFTER hes done? Should I take advil first? Will i be able to eat/chew food afterwards? How long does it take for him to tighten them? Thanks ill rate high!!

okay well it does hurt a bit. but it's not as bad as getting them taken off!!! lol. you wont need to take advil before coz it aint that bad. you might need to after though. it changes. best not to have steak for dinner. :) just get some yoghurt or custard or something. it'll last a couple of days. dont worry too much. :) its not too bad. good luck!

Okay im in 10th grade and I really like this senior. He told me 2 weeks before christmas that he has liked me since september and things were going really good until his parents split up. NOw he is depressed and is having a lot of problems at home. He acts fine around everyone else because nobody knows about his parents. He wasn't going to tell me but I bugged him about it because he just started ignoring me and everything. I talked to him the other night and he likes me but said that we can't "be together" until this is all over because his family is more important than me. I've waited for so long and I cry everytime i think about him (pathetic i know) because I like him so much. My question is how do i go about waiting for his family problems to go away? I mean until we can be together what should i do? (he is 18 and I am 15) I know its a pretty big difference but we really like each other. I know this all sounds really pathetic! Thank you so much! hey you need to stand by him and help him through this tough period. my best friends parents divorced and she was shattered. she has told me since that my standing by her helped her get through it. so be a great friend and when he's ready for a relationship you guys will be closer than ever. good luck

They have always been like this but it's gotten far worse recently and it's coming to the point where I have to chose between my friend and boyfriend. Oh my goodness okay well i havent had my period in about 40 days and i thought that maybe i just skipped a month. I have my first boyfriend right now and we're really close and we were on a vacation thing together..we didnt do anything sexual AT ALL and my mom just asked me if i was pregnant!! and now im terrified because i dont know why im so late and i thought i just skipped a month but i guess not..im definetely not pregnant but my mother scared me and now im really worried! please..could someone please give me a reaosn why my period could be so late?

i've gone 3 months without my period and it was something medical... cant remember the name. but i went to the doctor because there was no way i could be pregnant and yeah the doctor fixed everything. just go see a doctor (preferably a female cause it's quite personal). good luck. hope your better soon.

how about you invite her somewhere of your choice. like a movie that you choose. if she is only friends because you are a follower and you start leading then she will ditch you and find another follower. if that happens then she isn't really a good friend. but it might end up being a turning point in your friendship... for better.

salt water in a little container and hold it over your belly button. that usually does the trick. :)

Well i have always been using pads, but i want to use tampons for a change. Can you keep a tampon in the whole school day without changing it, and then change it when you get home? My school day is : 6:45-2:45. Can you leave in a tampon that long? Oh and its ganna prolly be heavy. thanks

no. you must change it every 4 hours. dont leave it in tooo long. it's not healthy

I used to like this boy and I found out he was a total idiot. I used 2 like b in love with him and I don't even know why. The sad part is I lost him to an "Artificial Plastic Barbie". This girl so plastic its scary. She dyed her hair blonde and its like bleach blonde. She wears globs of eye makeup like you can't imagine to cover up wrinkles she has and thats why I consider her "artificial". I don't kno why he likes her, but now they both talk about me behind my back and say how weird I am and stuff, and I didn't even do anything to them! Now this feeling of love that I used to have has turned into hate. I have never hated anyone really, and I have never hated anyone this strongly. I hate her and him for just liking each other. It bothers me. I can't concentrate in class, I can't sleep, I can't have a normal conversation with my friends anymore without mentioning how much I hate them. ignore them as best you can. i know this is hard but you cant let them get to you. if they know they're getting to you then they will keep going. try moving on and getting another guy that is worth your time.
