Well i have always been using pads, but i want to use tampons for a change. Can you keep a tampon in the whole school day without changing it, and then change it when you get home? My school day is : 6:45-2:45. Can you leave in a tampon that long? Oh and its ganna prolly be heavy. thanks <33
lilangelshan08 answered Tuesday February 1 2005, 8:28 am: well first off if you've never had sex, chances are that until you're used to having one in, it's going to hurt, and second you're only supposed to leave a tampon in 8 hours or else you run the risk of getting TSS (toxic shock syndrome), so you shouldn't sleep with one in

As an answer to your question you shouldn't leave a tampon in the whole day. If you did (especially if your blood flow is heavy) you could have an accident. If and when you decide to make the switch change them every 2-3 hours if you use regular ones, if you use super then maybe 2.5-3.5 hours. [ Clash2004's advice column | Ask Clash2004 A Question ]
Karen answered Monday January 31 2005, 9:01 pm: Your flow may be heavy so it wouldn't be a good idea to leave your tampon in for the whole day because it's not healthy. You should probably change your tampon every 4 hours just to be safe. You could also wear panty liners, just in case you leak. Hope I helped :)
