Don't wanna' be an annoyance.

Question Posted Monday January 31 2005, 8:32 pm

My boyfriend is really really smart. He's in all honors classes at school. He's a sophomore, but he might as well be a junior because he's in mostly junior classes. He also does a lot of after school stuff like debate and chorus and, well, just about everything. He's soooo busy with school, and when he's at home, he's usually working on something school-related. I feel like I'm a distraction/annoyance to him when I call and try to talk to him online and stuff. It's kind of intimidating, really. But I like this guy sooo much...He's taught me so much. How can I make sure I'm not an annoyance?

Also, I'm worried that our relationship is becoming more of just a classmate-to-classmate, study buddy type thing. School is almost all we talk about! Help!.

im sure your boyfriend wouldn't mind if you helped him with his afterschool tasks. This seems to be something he enjoys and he'll like you even more if your with him

Why not try and study with him, or just *tactfully* tell him that he isn't giving any of his attention to you. What good is a relationship if you don't actually talk or spend time together.

Instead of calling, drop him an e-mail or write him a sweet note to open later saying call me if you get time or something. That way, you can still talk to him and say what you want to say, but it will be on his time and you know that you aren't interupting anything.
