My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

Are there any ways I can keep my dyed hair from fading??

~ use color guard shampoos
~ use color gaurd sprays on your hair if straightening
~avoid sun and clorine
~ always use extra conditioner
~ the stuff professions use lasts longer than the stuff from the grocery store and there isnt much you can do about it
~eat healthy to keep hair healthy

on eyelash curlers, you know that little white thing they have at the top? how often do you need to replace that? thanks.

on mine you can't change it.. i wouldnt say it is nec. because its only like a $1 to buy a whole new one and that would be easier. I would say atleast soak it in anti bacterial wash every month then replace it yearly

So I just got called in tomorrow for an interview at this really trendy store at the mall. They sell brands like DKNY, Guess et cetera.
What should I wear to my interview? I don't have any time to get my dress pants tailored but I guess I could get it done if I really needed to, but they don't wear dress pants to work and I know I should anyway btu I thought maybe a skirt would work. I have a peasant skirts that I could wear, I have them in black, white and blue. I know I shouldn't wear camisoles without anything on over but are sleeveless tops ok or no?
I also bought two pairs of ballet flat shoes. One is black and the other is a rusted golden colour so should I try to match?
I also want to look really in style and I have a wide belt that cinches my waist and it's black so that might go with the skirt.
I just got side bangs too and I don't know what to do with my hair. I can straighten it but should I let it loose or tie it into a ponytail or braid with a matching ribbon or is that too much?

how my mom says it is wear anything that you would wear to church. Like dress presentable. where your best mature outfit that looks like it would fit their dress code. i would avoid the peasant skirt unless you have nothing else i would wear the dress pants if you really can. i wouldnt wear the flat ballet shoes.. heals would be better if you have them and i would avoid the belt. and i would wear close toed because that is usually the dress code for most places. i am guessing you are a teenager so you want to look as adult as you can like no side ponytails or braids because you are entering the adult work force

I got a terrible hair cut about a few months ago. The lady cut 4inches off, and layered it. However, the layers are all uneven and super choppy. It looks like I did it myself, with a blindfold on! How do I disguise the layers?

My hair isn't long enough to cut it even yet.

I am 13 years old. I have never been a real popular person and I have never had a boyfriend.

But school starts the 22nd and one thing I really want is a boyfriend. I really hope we get some new guys. But I mean I want to impress some people this year by changing my style!

I sometimes add a necklace on an occasion.
I wear glasses but I hate contacts so don't tell me to wear them!

Try body central. We just got one in our mall and everything is very cheap yet cute there. Its kind of "ghetto" which i don't like but they have alot of t-shirts jeans jackets and accesories at very reasonable prices.

My big thing i learned though is go for the fit not the brand.. like i only had $100 to spend on new school clothes and shoes so i made it work. I check out places like kohls and i saw similar things to places like hollister but a little bit cheaper


and this is off the subject and i know you said you don't like contacts well most guys don't date girls without contacts not saying that they won't date you but you know.. at your age its different than at mine. But if you don't like the hassle of contacts try day and nights you only change them once a month and you can sleep in them and everything.. they are very nice

I think I may be bi... I never really thought about it before a few days ago, you see my friends and I were playing Truth (it's like truth or dare without dares)and "David" asked what my deepest, darkest secret was. I said that it was that I used to make out and do other things with a girl that used to live by me. Then I realized I do a whole bunch of other things, like look at women's faces and breasts. I never really enjoyed doing things with her, but it felt nice... sorta. I don't really want to be Bi (no offense!!! I'm an activist). Do you think this was just a phase or do I truly have feelings for women? I haven't had any feelings since and I don't intend on doing anything with girls again.

It really depends on your age.. its naturally for people in their teens and twentys to look at other womans breast because they compare themselves to others like that and don't even think about it.
And making out with a girl doesn't mean you are bi.. its also natural for young woman to be curious and expiriment.

If you didn't truelly enjoy making out with a woman and you have no interests you don't sound bi you were just curious and there isn't anything wrong with that

i'm a junior and i am seriously SO confused about colleges. thinking about colleges stresses me out because of the long process that i have no idea what to do! so i just have a couple of questions. say i go to a university--the university has colleges in it..i guess they have different schools for different subjects? so say i go to the art and science college at this university--would that be my major??? what is a major/minor?? how do you send a college application and what's this about an essay and resume?? i'm SOOOO confused. can someone please help me??

well i am in the same boat as you i am a 16/f who is going to be a junior but i have looked around at colleges a bit and here is what i know

1. Your minor and major are more specific the arts and science they are like Fine arts and Bio. engineering for example.
2. The essay should be self explanitory. Have you seen and Application? if not i would suggest geting one and filling it out just for practice
3. You can only graduate from 1 college, but most colleges allow you to take just a few classes at their college without graduating from there. Like say your college of choice doesn't offer painting classes you can take it at another school for credits
4. and your sat/act score depends on the school. I know to go to honors college or be in the honors program at most schools you need around a 1300 out of 1600 (well it is really out of 2400 but majority of school DO NOT look at the writing section.. if you need explination on that i would be happy to tell you why)
5 Most school want you to apply by the beginning of school your senior you but you have to look at the schools specific website for deadline detains. its better to apply early than late because the earlier you apply the better dorms you get and what not because its mostly first come first serve

Well they sell those at my work.. although it is my dream chair just because it is comfy and you can stretch back on it the sales man there said it is not a good workout chair and you erally don't see results.

no and you should be flat chested.. don't worry you will grow when your body is ready.

Like i went shopping yesterday with my sister who is your age and we went past the childrens department and they had bras sitting out. Now those bras were ment for girls ages 10-16 based on the size chart and there was nothing over an A cup.

I would have to say i was one of the chestier kids through middle school and i didn't get into a B cup until i was about to turn 14. so Don't worry. My sister is 13 and a 34 A and she is no small or no bigger than anyone really in her class

and besides 4 inches bigger i believe is a DD and i am sure you don't want that

I usally go to sleep around 4 or 5 in the morning and wake up at 2 or 3 in the day time. How can i go to bed earlier without taking pills. If i go to bed at 11 (when i want to) im not tired, and i cant go to sleep. I cant wake up earlier either because.. the rest of the day I might fall asleep in class or whatever because when I dont get enough sleep its not pretty. THANKS!

well you cant go to sleep earlier because your body is used to going to bed so late.. the only thing you can do is getting yurlsef up early in the morning with an alarmclock and do something all day that makes you tired like swimming and by 11 you should be ready to go to sleep. it may take a few days for it to work but eventually it will

What's a healthy diet to lose about 10 pounds in 13 days without starving myself and eating healthy. how much excersize do i have to do? and how much do i have to run for and how long? i need all those answers and any advice i can get

i would say yes.. its really only healthy and completely safe to lose 2-4 pounds a week but i don't think it will kill you if you do that


your exercise really depends on your body type like the heavier you are the less exercise you need. i would say though that you would really have to run alot.. i think you would be better off walking or jogging because you burn like the same about of calories but it is alot less on your body

unless they were looking for it chances are know but if you are sick and they are trying to find out what is wrong with you they may look for that

i just have a few questions. i have cingular and my dad just cancelled it on tuesday and i just got a new phone like 2 months ago. my question is:
1. if my dad plans on uncancelling it.. would i still have the same number or a different number
2. would it cost money to reopen my phone and stuff
3. and also since i got my phone like 2 months ago, would i still be able to use that phone with the same sim card or would i have to buy a new phone..

1. they can try to give you the same number but they can't garentee it
2. yes you would prob have to pay to reactivate it
3. you can use your same phone but it may cost you more to reactvate it because then you wouldn't be a new activaction exactly

i dont know where this goes, but whatever. i have this pass to six flags that lets you go free. valid any reg. operating day through sept. 24,2006 bla. and then i have this other thing that i want to bring a friend with but it says that i must have a season pass... can i still use it? i need to know RIGHT NOW! we are going tomroow at like 7 in the morning. can i just use someone else's name. and say thats me? or what? it says "you must present this coupon with processed Season Pass for validation." what i would do is get there early and find someone with a season pass and go up to them and be like i will pay you $5 if you say she is with you.. my mom does that to get into the parents room at concerts. Chances are you may be able to get her in with you but if you don't find anyone just in case you both might be screwed

My acne has been a constant battle for the past 3 years. I've been on Accutane twice. I've done everything out there that you can do. And I was wondering if any of you have ever tried or used Proactiv. What do you think? I know it's from an Infomercial, but so mean celebrities & people claim that it's awesome. Right now they have a special 30-day kit for $20. I think I'm gonna try it. Give me some feedback on it please. :]

i used it for over a month and i didnt see any resultes.. to me it was basically a waste of money because after that 30-day kit refills are really expensive.. and those celebrities get paid to say there.. there is not nec and truth to them

me and my friend are doing the napolean dynamite dance at our talent show but we can only get the 5 minute long song we cant find the one thats 2 monutes because they cut the middle out on the movies so if anyone knows can you pleasde tell me ive already been on limewire

i woulc check back on limewire later.. there songs change depending on what users are on.. go on at peak hours like now.. also check the movie and see if they have a copy of the song and/or their soundtrack
