Q: My mom and I had an argument over braces the last week and she got really mad. I'm going to get them anyway and she won't talk to me. It's been almost a week and she always ignores me..and doesn't tell me wen it's time to eat or anything.. PLEASE don't tell me to sit her down and have a talk..we don't have that kind of relationship..and I can't wait it out! Please don't critisize..I rate!

Sometimes it's irregular, especially if you have just started. And sometimes it's just really light and we don't notice it. If it's been going on for a while, though, I suggest talking to a doctor.

I've got this "friend" of mine who's been rather...hard to get along with lately. You know who you are, "friend." Anyway, in Study Hall one day she just errupted like Mt. Vesuvius. I mean, over something so petty she just blew it. My boyfriend had moved to another table to take a quiz and she came over to sit with me. There's this stupid rule my SH teacher came up with stating that only two people can sit at one table until ten minutes prior to the bell rings. My boyfriend finished and came back over, and right before I was going to tell him to wait a minute so I could finish talking to her she just..."*slams book together, packs up bookbag, moves* Fine, I see who's more important, I'll just move! *mutters incoherently*" I just was...shocked. She didn't even give me a chance to tell him that I needed to finish talking to her. Anyway, she's been really sore over this for the past week or two. I mean, she doesn't sit with my boyfriend, me, and our friend anymore. She never talks directly to me, however, she has this obsession with talking ABOUT me. She's lied about my boyfriend and me, giving people the impression that I'm some sort of slut. This is really starting to annoy me. Not the fact that she's talking about me, but that she's lying about me. I really do wish she wouldn't be so sensitive and...paranoid. Our friendship has been an ongoing battle ever since my boyfriend and I have been going out. I don't really want our best-friend friendship back, I just want to come to terms with her and "agree to disagree", if you will. But she won't even compromise with that! I've tried everything you could possibly think of and then some, but she doesn't want to listen to a word I say to her. Can anyone offer some sort of ideas for getting her to just listen to me for five minutes to sort things out? Any input would be appreciated, though I am looking for good, well thought-out, helpful answers. Thank you in advance for every good answer.

Anyway, I think she's jealous because you have a boyfriend. When my friend invites me over and spends the whole time making out with her boyfriend, it really pisses me off. But the way she is handling it is immature. She feels like he stole you away from her and she wants you to herself sometimes. Maybe come to her house without your boyfriend and say, "Let's spend the weekend together, just you and me." And don't spend that time talking about him. If she won't listen even when you go to her house, show her that your boyfriend is not the only one you care about. Explain it to him and just say, "I'm going to sit with her all period in study today." Most likely he will support you and go off to do his own thing.

I hope it all works out. Never let a boy come between you and your friends. It simply isn't worth it. Good luck!

Q: ok i asked about the games for my party earlier..and if they were too babyish..most of you said no, so thats a good sign. My next question is how many games per hour should i have? i dont want to overwhelm everyone with games..should it be once every half hour? every hour? thanks you guys

Q: My mom doesn't want me to get braces because she thinks my teeth are fine. But I think I do need them because there are like 3 teeth that aren't straight. Well we had a huge argument over this and now she's mad at me. But anyhow, I got my seperators today and they are really annoying. Do they hurt the day after? And when I get my braces will they hurt? Also, what should I do about my mom-situation?? She's not talking to me and she's very pissed that I am getting braces.

If your orthodontist says you need them, then you need them. Your mom has NO SAY in it. And trust me, your teeth will be wonderful when they finally take the braces off. You have no idea how many people compliment me on my smile. Pain varies from person to person. For me they only hurt like right when they got tightened, and sometimes the ends would scrape against the back of my mouth (OWWWW!) and I had to have the ortho cut them. Your mother is being unreasonable and immature. I really don't know what to do about that. Just go through with getting the braces, hopefully she will calm down. Oh, and some tips for after getting the braces. When they say no hard candy, they MEAN it. If you have headgear WEAR it. Brush your teeth A LOT, because food gets stuck in the braces and it's really gross.

You're only in sixth grade, so it's not really that big a deal. I'm in eleventh grade and have barely dated. He's probably to immature for that sort of thing anyway. I mean, what is he? Eleven? Twelve? Yeah...for a guy that's immature.

But I will give my standard flirting advice that really works.

It's a little weird that a thirteen year old is babysitting an eleven year old, but whatever. This is sexual harassment, and you should just tell the parents that you don't want to sit for them anymore. And then go to the cops. Sexual harassment is illegal you know. But just so that they believe you, hide a video camera and pretend to go to sleep. Think about it. You're getting payed to go over there, and when you do, the kid tries to rape you. That's like prostituion. Ew. Just get out of there. That kid should be locked up. I really like the video camera idea, so do that.

The acids in your stomach will burn your espophagus and your throat, your teeth will turn gray, and you will smell like vomit. Also, this is bulimia (not anorexia), and it is a disease and an addiction. If you do it once, you probably won't be able to stop. I highly reccommend you don't do it and if you want to lose weight just cut back on sugary snacks and drink a lot of water. I don't need to tell you to exercise, since you're already an athlete. I hope it works out for you.

Q: 15f- I like this guy (still). We went out for like two weeks in January then he broke up with methe day after V day! he and I were hanging out the Thursday. We did some stuff. Why do you want bigger boobs? So guys will notice you? Ugh. They are so not worth it. Also, huge breasts HURT. You will not fit into any bra, and they weigh so much your back will be in pain. Well what do you think he is lying about? Did he tell you that dinosaurs still roam the Earth, or that aliens are controlling his mother's brain? Or is he just telling you that you are beautiful, and you don't believe him because you have low self esteem? Or do you think he is cheating on you?

If it is the first one, use a magic truth stone. Just hold it while he is talking to you, and if he is lying, it will slightly burn your hand or he will have a glowing aura around him. It depends on which brand you are using.

If it is the second one, he's not lying! He wouldn't tell you you are beautiful if he didn't think it was the truth!

If it is the third one, study his behavior. When you are on the phone with him does he seem like he doesn't want to talk? And does he never seem to have time for you, even on special days like Valentine's day and Beltane? If someone has seen him cheating on you, they will probably tell you.
