Lately my dad has been wanting to spend time with me, and for some reason I just really don't want to. I don't know why, but I feel uncomfortable. Like, he asked me to go to lunch, and I just said "I'll think about it", and then without telling him I went to a friends house, and slept over PAST the next days lunchtime, just to AVOID being asked again. What's my problem? I mean...I still like the guy, but I really want to b left alone. And lately, I've been liking my mom more. Pleeease help me!!! Thanks.

i have the same problem!! mine includes my parents getting a divorce and my dad wants me to be on his side because im the oldest child and i heard that has a lot to do with who gets the kids (and who doesnt have to pay child support) so he has ulterior motives. are your parents having problems? maybe he is jsut trying to be the "cool" dad and hang out and stuff.you need to tell him that you just arent into that.

i'd like to start my own babysitting business. how can i get started??

you should take a babysitting course to get certified ( i took one from the Red Cross) to show parents you are really responsible. then you should put up flyers with your available hours, hourly rate, and phone number around where you live. you could also ask your parents to give some to co-workers. that should get you started! hope i helped- peace out

I'm an emapth: a person who can feel a persons emotions when being near them. I can also hear a song and tell you what color it is. (The song "Anastasia" By Voltaire is pale lavender, and the song "..Baby one more time" redone by Bowling For Soup is metallic red). I also have keen gaydar. I want to know if anyone else out there has these abilities. How can I use these abilities to my advantage?

yeah i can definently sense emotion when im near people, no matter how much they try to hide it. however, i dont do the color-song thingy. yeah and the gaydar these days with all the well groomed guys is down for me. you could be a therapist or something because they have to be very empathetic. and for gaydar, you can avoid the embarrasment of hitting on someone who isnt in the same "boat".

i dance alot (about 12 hours a week) .. does this have anything to do with my not having my period yet because of heavy exercise?? that's what my friend said and i want to know if it's true

well it could be from heredity( when did your mom first get hers?) , but heavy excersize definently is a big one when it comes to not getting your period. its good that you are eating ( and healty too - yay!) but you shouldn't be in a rush to get it. its really REALLY not something to look forward to.

Hey! my hair use to be really healthy..i use die it and i strighten it.. do u no of ne hair product to give my life back to my hair...~XOXO~

definently get a trim. then get some reaallly good shampoo and conditioner ( neutrogena has triple moisture set now- thats a good idea) and once or twice a week use a deep conditioner. and dont dye or straighten it all the time. sometimes hair needs a break b/w styling to re-juvenate.

My Mom doesn't like when i watch like MTV cuz she sez there is always junk on. like and she wants me to lead such a sheltered life. Like she thinks i don't know anything about like sex and drugs and stuff. i'm 12 wut should i do?

if you are 12, not to sound too mother-y, but there is some pretty innapropriate stuff on there sometimes. i know that you are not completely in the dark about sex and drugs, but your mom is just trying to sheild bad things from you. maybe if you really want to watch it, have a talk with her about what you know and maybe have her watch some shows with you to show her they aren't that bad . peace out

Is there anything I can do to loose weight around my thighs and butt? I know it sounds silly but I hate it because I'm not fat...I mean, I'm 14, I weight 110 lbs (at the most), and I'm only 5'1". I CAN'T STAND MY THIGHS!
When I wear pants obviously they aren't noticeable too much because they get squeezed into jeans or smoeting like that but I'm insecure when I'm weraing a bathign suit so I always wear a long shirt into the pool too. I'm a skinny/short girl with heavy thighs. They aren't HUGE or anything...but they really DON'T FIT WITH MY BODY!!...and I have some stretch marks on the upper part of them.
Also, everyone says they love my legs because they are like dancer legs...(and I don't dance I should add) but kids MY AGE or YOUNGER just see them as...heavy (not muscular).
They look muscley when you look at them one way, and another way you look at them you could see them as...heavy. It;s very uncomfortable sometimes and they make me feel so self-consience when I wear certain types of pants.
I want these legs when Im older...not when I'm 14.
I just always feel like I'm stomping down the hallway...I know that's not true because they really aren't that bad...but any advice?? I want these stretch marks to go away. AARRRRR! They are so annoying because I'm not even a heavy girl and I seem so lopsided or unproportioned.

How do I get my thighs to look thinner?
I also want to add that I haev stratch marks around my breasts and they aren't even big...sorry to sound strange and stuff but there are just littlel ones surrounding them...
Is this bad?

babe, a lot of guys like that ( uhh... JLo??) and i have the same body type (exactly the same 5'2'' 112lbs) and i get along just fine. i mean i used to not be okay with it when i was your age maybe, but i got tired of caring what other people thought of my "ghetto booty" (lol) confident girls are much more attractive no matter what they look like. if you want to lose weight around that area, try pilates. its really a total body workout, but it burns fat and builds lean muscle.
oh and p.s. EVERYBODY gets stretch marks. im a b-cup and i had stretch marks since i got boobs... they are starting to fade now though. hope i helped! peace out

there's really no harm in saying yes because words aren't like a contract or anything. its good you aren't trying to get married right now though, because you might change your mind in the next 4-5 years. only time will tell if your relationship with him will still be at the same level in the future. peace out

okay. since like 75% of your body is water, you should drink a lot of water ( like 8 or more glasses a day) to flush more out of your system. then you should start an excersize schedule that includes cardio and aerobic excersize.

My daughter is almost 5 and she has a hard time entertaining herself so I can get dressed for the day or do work around the house. She has a lot of toys but rarely plays with most of them and wants to either watch t.v. or follow us around. It drives me crazy and my husband too, because she comes in our room when we tell her not to. I've threatened to throw out her toys, but it does no good. When we get angry she just laughs at us. We tried closing her up in her room but she just pounds on the door and screams that she is scared. We are expecting another child and we are afraid her behaivior is going to just get worse when the baby comes. She does not behave like this for other family that watches her. Anyone got any advice? Preferably parents who can relate to this situation and have some solutions please.

although i am not a parent, i have had many babysitting jobs and younger siblings to care for, so i think i know what i'm talking about. do you have a pet? if you don't maybe getting her a puppy or kitten or some other live thing that she can play with will ease up on her pestering you. another thing, did she pick out the toys herself, or were they just bought for her. that might play into the fact that she isn't playing with them at all. also, does she have any playmates or social contact outside the house? if you and your husband are the only "playmates" she has, then she would probably like to have some people her own age to play with. try daycare a couple days a week. i hope that helped :)

I made up a personage vividly in my head about a year ago. I know everything about him. When something goes wrong, this imaginary person appears in my mind. I haven't told anyone about him yet. His name is Elliot and I suddenly think of him everytime something bad happens. What does this mean? And no, I'm not putting the blame of things that I've done on an imaginary figure. maybe this Elliot is your conscience. or possibly you have no one to relate to when things go wrong so Elliot is there to make you feel better about what happened. Is is comforting or troubling to you that Elliot appears. when you answer this question to yourself, you'll probably know if he is good or bad. And I'm not really sure what you mean about "causing the bad things", but if its a bad figure and you think that it is causing you trouble, then maybe you should see a counselor. peace out

i have this friend, closely resemblance to Marshall Mathers, low life. A couple years back my friend opened his heart to my other friends mother. ask them what they would like to do. if its something destructive or bad, then maybe they are just evil. or maybe you could ask their parents or parent of what they usually like to do. :) peace out
