I made up a personage vividly in my head about a year ago. I know everything about him. When something goes wrong, this imaginary person appears in my mind. I haven't told anyone about him yet. His name is Elliot and I suddenly think of him everytime something bad happens. What does this mean? And no, I'm not putting the blame of things that I've done on an imaginary figure. I think he's causing the bad things (??)

blackmamba answered Monday July 12 2004, 4:17 am: maybe this Elliot is your conscience. or possibly you have no one to relate to when things go wrong so Elliot is there to make you feel better about what happened. Is is comforting or troubling to you that Elliot appears. when you answer this question to yourself, you'll probably know if he is good or bad. And I'm not really sure what you mean about "causing the bad things", but if its a bad figure and you think that it is causing you trouble, then maybe you should see a counselor. peace out [ blackmamba's advice column | Ask blackmamba A Question ]

EsseNeminem answered Monday July 12 2004, 1:23 am: I think that perhaps you made this character to comfort you when things weren't quite the way you wanted them. Perhaps you began to associate his presence with those things and the meaning of his existence changed. It is very likely that you are simply confusing the reason for his involvement in your problems. Imaginary figures are almost always created for a warm arm to lie in for those who feel they are alone. In reality, his 'cause' depends on whether you are doing the bad things that happen; he has no other medium of action. If he were 'causing' these things to happen, you would be doing them. If not, the reason he appears when they happen is because that goes along with his original purpose, to comfort. [ EsseNeminem's advice column | Ask EsseNeminem A Question ]
KiSsEs answered Monday July 12 2004, 1:23 am: Maybe "Elliot" is your escape from all evil...when ever your uncomfortable or not pleased with a situation you turn to him. It sounds like he's your security. I doubt he is causing all the bad things but if so then try to find control
*hope i helped*
