My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.



I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

I'm starting to throw up my dinner each night. I know this isn't good, but i cant stop myself. What should i do?

I know that telling a doctor, parent, or an adult might be hard and not so comftrable. It's not good at all because this leads to bulimia and I think you know what that is. The results of this are very bad. You damage your lungs very badly. Your teeth turn really yellow and you damage your mouth and throat. Do you really want to live having horrible things like that? If you want to take care of yourself, you should stop now. If you want to loose weight, eating disorders are no good. Throwing up food is a waste, & if you're going to do it after every meal, you might as well make healthier choices. Don't eat much junk food and feel guilty about eating it. Eat healthy & yummy stuff that will make you happier about yourself, not worse. You CAN stop yourself if you really tried and if you want to be healthy for the rest of your life. I suggest you look more into this. Look up bulimia and see all the horrible things. I think you are much better than that and you're worth more than that.

Is it bad that im 16 and I am having protected sex with my boyfriend of five months like once every other week?

If you are very into religion and follow your belifs, it might be bad. According to teenage girls it really isn't. If you really like this guy and if you think you aren't doing the wrong thing than that's all that matters. Make sure you're not making a mistake because later it will be too late to fix.

My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2 months and i want to get him something for christmas. I don't have a lot to spend and i want it to be something special. Any ideas?

2 months isn't a really long time, so the best thing to get him would be a cologne & a shirt from his favorite store. If he has a favorite band, sport get him something like that.

i dont really know what to do with my hair..i hate it soooo much! because i want it to grow longer and its just not growing AT ALL its like a little past my shoulders and it looks even shorter because i have alot of layers and i hate it =\ is there anything i could do to make my hair look cute!? and since i have to straighten it everyday that probly doesnt help..and so it looks kinda fried.. not too bad but i can tell!! i dont know my hair is what really bugs me the most. its brown and its just ugh!

My hair gets on my nerves too!! If you always have it straight, why don't you curl it, scrunch it, and try different hair styles. You could even get high lights to make it lighter. That would look really cute. Just do different things with it. To get ideas look in magazines. That's really the best thing. Well.. that's what I do. ♥

Heres my proble im female and im 16 I hope you can help,so to make a long story short i fell for my best guy friend and he lead me on for like 6 months im crazy about him it got to the point where he has become me security blanket. i've been going through a really tough time in my life right now and hes been there for me i'd tell him i loved him and hed say i love too but he wouldnt date me and i asked if him it was okay that im so dependant on him, and he told me yes its fine im here for you etc. and just recently out of the blue he was like you call me too much, I cant be your security balnket anymore plus he met someone and basically he was like here ill give you some space get over me and like now we dont really talk hes ina erlationship with this new girl of his , im so hurt cause he just like left and he promise he'd always be there for me and he promised me alot of things but he did lead me ona nd now hes basically doesnt want anything to do with me and he told me left like he did because he got sick of being my friend and i know that, thats not really the main reason why its because of this new girl and i dont know im still in love with hima nd hes my best guy friend and im so confused and hes said oh im sorry a million times but i just cant forgive him a part of me wants to hate him so much but i jsut cant because i love him and he was the first guy ive ever fallen for and ive cried so much overhim and i just cant let go of him and accpet that he did what he did out of all the people i truey care about he walked out me just like my parents did, How can I get over him i need to so bad all he does is hurt me

You can't just get over him.. it might take you a really long time. I think what he is doing to you is really shady. This other girl seemed like she changed him and he is acting like she is the ONLY important thing in his life. Once she's gone, he will come running back to you. Things won't always end up perfectly, so it's really hard when you get too attached to people. That's why I never don't but I understand how you are feelings. He isn't walking out on you and he will ALWAYS be your friend. It might take him some time to realize that the way he is treating you isn't right. You need to tell him that. I'm sorry's don't always cut it because people will just go off and do the same thing. Just give him some space for now. Don't think so negative and trust me, he doesn't hate you or anything so don't cry. Just talk to him and tell him that you wish you guys had everything back to how it was and tell him that that girl changed him. If he gets upset oh well. He really needs to hear it and he will realize that you are right about this.

If you see a cute guy and you really want to talk to him, don't miss your chance. Go up to him and be like heyyy!! He won't think your stupid or anything though. Just be outgoing but now all like heyyyy oh my gosh, I broke a nail.. guys hate when girls talk all stuck up. Because i dont like talking in front of the class my face gets really red when i have to do a presentation!! and its soo embarassing because i know my face is getting red and then i get even more embarassed and i have to do one or its more like "skit" in front of the class. is there any suggestions that you have for me to try and be less embarassed. i know its more of a self-esteem thing but i dont know..

I used to be like you soo much!! I'd get soo shy and scared but now I always want to go first. I don't love it, but I just say hey it's only a minute or 2 and I'll get it over with first so why not? Just remember that people won't make fun of you and that half of the people in your class hate going up in front of the class as much as you do. I know that when in a relationship 'Trust' is the key element. Well, I trust my boyfriend with everything I am, but that's not the problem. I know that he thinks other girls are pretty and that he looks at other girls like that upsets me. I know, I know. I probably sound really immature, but I know that ever since I've been dating him I don't really look at guys that way anymore because I don't need to look- I have him. I haven't got upset over this, but I can't help but think he's checking girls out while he out with me. Any advice?

I understand that you might get a little jelous and that you don't like it, but everyone always looks at other people & you do too without even realizing it. It's no big. If he liked those girls he would be with them, but he isn't because he want's you & not them. If he didn't think you were much prettier, better then them he probablly wounldn't be going out with you. You won't loose him though and he won't loose you. You aren't being immature though so don't worry. Those girls really don't mean anything to him.

I don't really know.. but hot is when a girl thinks you have really good features, your hair, body, eyes, smile & things like that. Cute is when she sees you more as a friend but you also look good.

If I just meet someone new, the most important thing you want to do is act like you do everyday. I know it's cheesy when people say " BE YOURSELF " but honestly, you need to. Other people will realize it right away. It's fine if you're shy but you just want to have fun. That's how you get more confidence and become outgoing. The whole conversation thing is difficult though. It really depends on who you are talking to. Talk about anything that comes to your mind. School, people you guys know, other guys.. things like that. Once you are in the situation you won't be thinking about what you guys will talk about, it will just come natrually. Don't worry about making a mistake because they aren't there to judge you on your talking skills or anything, it's just having fun and making new friends. To make it uncomftrable or weird all you have to do is relax and not try to make a big impression. About your personal questions.. wow I get this ALL the time. When I see a gorgeous guy I really don't have the guts to talk to him because I'm afraid what he will think. Sometimes I might not even care & me & my friends will be our normal selves and just go up to talk to him and his friends. There really is no way I would just do it myself. Haha, trust me you are not the only one who feels that way. Anything else, let me know. ♥

Ah, that's tough for all guys. DO NOT ANNOY HER & FORCE HER TO LIKE YOU. Wow.. that's the worst thing a guy can do. When he keeps talking and talking and just asks you millions of questions. It's a big turn off. Just flirt with her & talk to her a lot. If she doesn't seem into it, then she would rather be friends so accept that.

Before I used to be really shy. I understand that there will always be people who will like you, and people who won't. If I can't change their minds and make them see different, I won't because it's not worth it. It won't take you a week to become outgoing, it's something you have to work on. It's just changing yourself for the better.. I guess you could say. When I don't know some people, I won't randomly just go up to them but if it's some other people that I've talked to once from different schools, I'll just say heyy & so on. Just tell yourself, if you want more friends, meet new people & be outgoing then talk to people. They won't think bad about you if you are saying hi and start a conversation. You just have to have fun with it and stop worrying about what people will think of you because that's what will screw you over every time.

well im 15 and like i have a few hollister clothes and pac sun and stuff but then i have a bunch of no named clothes. it seems like all the pretty girls wear abercrombie and hollister american eagle but i cant afford my whole wardrobe to be that! and i dont feel AS confident when i wear the nonamed brand because i know the guys all like the hollister and all those kind of clothes. also i dont feel as pretty when i dont wear american eagle, hollister, etc. what can i do to help this? because i cant just go on a shopping spree to those places since they are sort of expensive. but then im really jealous of the girls that have all that and that get all the guys! if you have advice thad be great. thanks alot!

I have SO much to say to people like you. I really can't explain it all. Wow.. when will people realize that clothes DON'T make you for who you are?? I think that you are way too cought up in looking good and worrying about what people will think of your clothes. It's one thing to be jelous, but it's another thing wanting the same things just to be like those girls and that's just wrong. If you like Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle that's fine and it's okay to wear it. But if you like those other clothes and if you think they are cute, why does it matter that they are not those brands?? It could be the SAME shirt with a different name tag, and you would still feel better wearing the expensive one. Honestly, guys do not like girls for the type of clothing they wear. There are MANY different types of guys. Half of them just happen to be very shallow. Some guys happen to like girls for personality, some booty or whatever their ideal girl might be. Do you think that I have friends and boyfriends because I wear Hollister, AE & A&F? No. Not everyone has soo much money. Not all of my clothes are from those stores. I shop at other places & I'm not ashamed of it. Why should I be? I know I'm NOT the only one & I bet you that HALF of those "pretty girls" in your school have clothes & accesories from other stores that they don't say. If you don't feel femenime or pretty enough sometimes, do something nice for yourself. Wear your hair different, wear different make up if that might make you feel better. Heyy.. guys love brown eyes!! Expecilly if they are big and stand out. Blue & green eyes are gorgeous, but brown is too. Just make them "pop". Use darker eye shadows. Like smokey eyes, browns, shimmer and gold. You really can't get lighter eyes. If you wear very light shimmers then yeah but that will only make them look smaller. Just love your brown eyes!! Everyone who has blue eyes wants green or brown, people with green eyes want brown or blue. It's like that.

No, of course that's not weird. You don't have to shave when you have sex. It's for you and it's mainly your decision if you want to do it or not. Some girls don't shave, they jsut trim. But it's not weird at all.
