If it's just gibberish, something is probably corrupted. To fix that, put your windows disk that came with the computer into the CD-ROM. Then go to start>run and type:

Okay I was stoping my fan in the back of my compter harddrive with a metal rod because it was making a funny noise . All of a sudden a spark comes out the fan opening and my computer harddrive just shut off. My computer hardrive will not turn on and I was wondering is there any solution on fixing my computer hardrive and getting it to turn back on.
If you were stopping the fan for a long time, then it's probably overheating. Putting it in the freezer will probably ruin it, though; like putting a hot glass in the freezer, it will shatter. It may be permanently broken, but just leaving the computer sit for a day will cool it down.
If the metal rod hit something, it could have "zapped" your hard drive, in which case it's completely ruined.

For the last two days, I've been having problems with my internet. I use a wireless connection to my downstairs computer, and my mbps is usually about 11 mbps. Anyway, the last two days, Limewire has told me it's connected (Don't say it's from that, I already ran every scan program I have and picked up nothing). My Skype says it's connected as well. So basically, everything works and is connected, even Counter Strike.
However, my web browsers are going VERY slow, enough for me to think I'm not connected to the internet, when I am. What happens is it takes nearly a minute to go page to page at times, and sometimes it times out entirely. The only time that it's at it's normal speed is when I repair it, and I have about 15 seconds of normalcy and then it starts lagging again.
So basically, I'm at a loss for what the problem is.

Close your web browser and stop limewire, and then go to start>run and type "cmd" without quotes. Then type exactly this and press enter:
netstat -b
It will give you a list of programs that are using the internet. Try individually closing each program it lists, until the problem is resolved. If that doesn't work, send me more info by doing this at the command prompt:
netstat -b >C:\log23.txt
if it doesn't return you to the prompt after 5 minutes, press ctrl+c. Then download HijackThis, here: http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip

I deleted the shortcut for limewire off my desktop. Now i want to run it and i can find it in the start menu, or anywhere. I checked control panel, and it's still installed. How can i run it? How can i get the shortcut back on my desktop?
The executable(the part you run) is C:\program files\limewire\limewire.exe. It might not be called limewire.exe, but it will end in .exe. Right click it and go to send to>desktop(create shortcut). Done. If you have trouble, I can create a batch file to do this for you; send me a private question.

Ok im working on a science fair project but I hit a snag. One male I tested got the exact opposite outcome he was supposed to. My topic is how music affects the memory. He is a mega sports person. He does all sports and runs every morning.
Just because music positively affects the left brain doesn't mean sports makes it worse. Activity won't hurt it, and won't help it very much. The only thing you should take into account is how much music they listen to/play, not anything else they do.

So, once again, my laptop won't burn a cd. I click start burn, it says its loading, shuts my comp off. Advice I got was do a virus check, and I did, and there is no viruses. So what next? And, I have tried different disks.
It's not a virus or anything to do with your firewall/security software. It's probably a hardware problem. If your CD burner has a driver, reinstall it. If that doesn't work, make the computer crash again; then, when you restart it, immediately go to start>control panel>administrative tools>event viewer. Go to system errors. Find the most recent of type "error". Double click it. Click the link. It will tell you what's wrong. If that doesn't work, post your question to http://annoyances.org or http://protonic.com

How do I fix my computer when it doesn't respond when i go to user accounts and try to delete the account but it will not delete. My computer is a windows xp.
Restart the computer. When it's JUST starting up, right after it beaps, press and hold F8. At the menu, select "safe mode" with the arrow keys; press enter. Text will scroll across the screen, and the computer will load; it may take up to 20 minutes. At the user menu, log in as "administrator". Delete the account as you normally would. You're done.
If, at the user menu, there is no "administrator" or the ONLY user account is "administrator", you will have to create another account. It doesn't have to be called "administrator". Delete the account from the new one.
If you're trying to delete all the data on the computer, you should reinstall windows, not delete all the user accounts.

Those are in 24-hour(military) time, to make them into 12-hour, subtract 12 from the "hour" number and turn it into PM if possible. So 16:27 is 4:27PM. 3:56 is 3:56AM because it's less than 12. It's not rocket science.

I like the blueish that looks like the Media Player because it looks nice but you can right click it and get the url source and I don't want people to steal the video, it can only be on my site.
Youtube has that preventing from stealing thing on their player but like videos on it are like stretched and give it the blurry look but it portects the vid form anyone stealing it. But people could also download it with a FIV player or go to that youtube page, take it, and put it on their site.

The blue players *are* windows media player. The player is embedded into the page. Most people prefer youtube and other flash players because they're less buggy. Also, someone without windows media player installed(linux and mac users, for example) can't play it. If you want to embed windows media player, use this code:
Near the top it says position:relative; left:0;top:0. Change this to move it around, it's measured in pixels. 0,0 is where it would normally be. Change position:relative; to position:absolute; if you want it from the top left of the entire page instead.
You should note that you can steal videos from an embedded windows media video, I actually think it's easier than a flash player.

you know colour codes? Piczo mchanged to this gay thing now where you have to enter a colour code for the background of the text and since I didn't pick one it automatically changed to a white back ground for my text when there wasn't supposed to be one so does anyone know the code for transparent?
There isn't one. Color codes all correspond to colors, there isn't one for transparent. HTML text is transparent by default, so if you leave it blank it should be transparent(I've never used pizco, so I don't know if that would work). Make sure the background color doesn't read #FFFFFF, just keep it blank.
