translated- how can i turn off this kind of writing on my computer?


something happened to my friend joshes computer with like remote assistance and it subs. a bunch of letters as numbers or symbols and he doesnt know how to get it off. does anyone?

If you can actually read it, like you have there, then you almost certainly have a virus that's turning your letters into leet. You can do a free scan and removal here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

If it's just gibberish, something is probably corrupted. To fix that, put your windows disk that came with the computer into the CD-ROM. Then go to start>run and type:

sfc /scannow

It'll take care of itself from there.

Look at the keyboard and see if anywhere it says "FN" like in the top right corner of a key. If it does try holding in shift and pushing that button. Let go and try typing.

Hope that works. It sometimes happens with my school's computers.

However this might not be the case with his computer. But it's worth a try.
