Q: I just got put on birth control. I have yet to finish the first cycle I have a week or so left. But I have a few questions.
1.) As soon as I start that first pill of the 2nd package, does that mean im completely protected against pregnancies?

2.) Whats the chance of becoming pregnant when on the pill?

3.) Do you get a more increased hunger.. & then a feeling of bloatedness?

1. You are never completely protected. But doctors recommend going through a complete package before engaging in sexual activity.

2. You have about a .1-.5% chance of getting pregnant. You will increase this risk if you forget to take a pill. Make DAMN sure you take it at the same time. And if you forget, do not have sex.

3. Some people do gain weight, and rarely do you lose weight. However, the hunger is hormonal. I haven't gained weight, and I've been on it for about 6 months. If you do find yourself hungrier then usual, cure it by eating an apple. They are full of fiber, expand in your stomach and are only 90 calories.

Q: Ok, I really really want to be an actress. And after my friend Claire Lyons got a part in a movie, I want to be an actress even more. But my parents won't let me do auditions and told me to stop dreaming. I am only 13 and I think that kid parts are way more fun than grown up parts. But at this rate, I have to wait till I grow up. There aren't any dangers, unless you are highly allergic to a metal that they happen to use. Go to a reputable place, and nothing will happen if you do what they say.

The dangers that came about when I got mine done was it will get infected quite a few times before it heals. This will look like a giant red zit. It is normal. Leave it alone, and don't pop it.

No. You shouldn't. Never use box shit, unless you consult your hairstylist first about it.

Wow. First off, I wouldn't worry about the age difference, because hearing this- it sounds as if you both are on the same maturity level. To be honest, this reminds me of my middle school days.

Secondly, why are you asking a question if you aren't going to change anything about what you're doing anyway?

Q: Oh-KAY. So I have this best friend who just drives me up a wall. Well. I think that problem will not be able to be fixed, because she ignores you, DUH. More than likely, you annoy the living shit out of her and you don't deserve to live, and you probably are pudgy. So here's my advice. Get a life. No one ignores you for no reason.

Q: alright, i got my nose pierced in march, for the
second time, the first time i took it out too soon
and it closed up. anyways, ive had it in for about
5 months, i had a fake nosering in, the one they
pierced me with in the first place, but im really
sensitive and cant have anything fake in my nose,
so i put in this solid white gold ring and it was
doing completely fine, for 5 months. then recently,
within the past week theres been this bump outside
my nose, i woke up this morning and it was HUGE.
so i took out the ring and put some cleaning stuff
on it, and now its all puss filled, i know it sounds
gross but if you have alot of piercings youd be used
to hearing this kind of stuff, anywayss.

tomorrow my mom is taking me to get it lanced?

is there anything i can do in the meantime to help
the swelling and stuff, is it possible to keep the
ring in? i rly dont want to close it, again.

Whatever you do, do not take out your nose ring. Ive had my nose pierced for a year and a half. The swell puss filled thing is normal. I had it the first 6 months I got it. They come and go. I'm extremely sensitive to non-real metal as well. It's completely normal. When I got my nose pierced- I went back the first time it happened, and they said just to clean it, and don't mess with it. It goes away in a few days.

Take out your nose ring, wasg your nose, 2 times a day, and let it go.

Whatever you do though, don't take your nose ring out. It's really bad to keep pierce the same part of your body again. The bone hardens, and then breaks.

Q: i'm super confused. I think i may be a lesbian but i'm not sure. see, i find myself flirting with guys like any normal 14 year old. but i find myself checking girls out too. i'm not afraid to be a lesbian but this has been going on for quite sometime now so can somebody just help me decide? am i a lesbian or not?

No one can actually tell you if you're a lesbian or not. It's not like, you can go into a doctor's office and get tested with ADD, you either have it or you're not. Sexuality is such a grey subject to begin with. You ask yourself. Constantly ask yourself questions, and soon enough, you'll find an answer. Just because you're "attracted" to girls doesn't mean you are a lesbian. At all. That's what everyone does. We DO check out our same sex. We compare ourselves. Know their assests. Anyone can find someone pretty, but would you like to do something beyond friendly with a girl...would you like to kiss a girl..would you like to do something more than that with a girl. I mean, those are the questions you have to wonder about, not "that you find a girl pretty."

Q: okay, i would REALLY like to shed a few pounds and get a nice flat stomach for spring break. I always tell myself that im gonna eat less & drink more water, but i never do, and i get a guilty conscience because i cant ever follow through with my goals. What are some tips that could really inspire me to want to be skinny & loose weight..everytime i start working out it only goes on for about a week..and then i`ll skip a day and say 'well i`ll do it tomorrow, i`m busy tonight" and then never do it the next day, and it just keeps going on and on til i forget about it. im really desperate, anything will help

Definately get a goal. Pick out a pair of jeans that don't fit and work towards them. It's the easiest way I can think of. For instance. Within the past few weeks, I've been working my ass off for school, when in the past I've been failing. I picked out a college. And, everytime I don't want to do something, I just think, I may not want it now...but what will I want later. Don't kill yourself with desires. Do what has to be done.

Q: I'm 14 years old, and I want my hair dyed. Like I want a drastic change SORTA. My hair right now is Dark Blonde. I don't want like blue pink colors though. I'm white, and my face is sorta red usually. I'm not really tan, I am sometimes. But not always. Whats a good hair color for me =)

A dark brown. (Black doesn't look good on most people. :-P)

Q: My dream has always and will always be to go to Stanford. I am a freshman, and so far have only one semister done. For my first semister, I got A's in all my classes. I am taking Honors English, Adv. Theater, Japanese I, Earth Systems, P.E., Computer Tech, and Geometry. For extra-curriculars I was on Shakespeare Team, and I am currently on Debate and Drama Team. I am also the secretary for the Drama Club. I am going to pick my classes soon, and I would like some advice on what kind of classes a college like Stanford would be looking for. I would also like to know any information on how to get in. I know I'm only a freshman, but I am definately going to college and Stanford is the only one I want to go to.

First off. Check into collegeboard.com. GREAT college website. It will tell you the basics of any college. GPA standards and all that great shit. Stanford is an amazing college. Good idea. You have to be well rounded, the only thing I can tell you, is keep doing what you're doing with the extra curriculars, do well in school, and maybe think up taking community service. For next year, if it is available, take Chemistry. I'm not sure what it's like in your school, but for us, we have to have Biology for Freshmen year, and you're in geometry, so you'll definately be able to take it. I'm not sure. Because we have IB. But, don't take standard classes if you could take it advanced. The thing is, colleges don't give a shit if you're making straight A's in normal classes, they'd rather you get a C in an AP class. Sooo. Push yourself, be well rounded, definately look at collegeboard.com.

Q: My best freind wants me to start drinkin... and i dont wanna say no b/c if i do i may lose her but if i do i dont wanna become adicted what do i do about this?

I'm going to give you my bluntest answer, because a question like this deserves it completely. Uh. That is the stupidest thing in the entire world. My best friend is completely against drinking and pot and shit, and when she found out I was going to experiment, she said "Mere, It's not my life." If you want to, that's your call, as stupid as it is, but seriously, fuck your best friend. If you could lose her over something so stupid, then you really need to consider getting a new friend.

Q: Usually my friend and i dont fight at all...but lately shes been ..pissing me off a bit. .Lately..idk shes been moody and i dont like it. It was like she didnt appreciate that i was driving her somewhere...the ride was late. She was only concerned wit her plans for later..going to a game. Friends go through funks. PEOPLE go through funks. I know alot of people (including myself) who are particurly pissy around certain times of the year, and I definately lose contact with alot of my friends, because I can't stand being around them. I'm not saying this is what the problem is with your friend, I'm just saying, give her some space, and just talk to her...no body likes to feel uncared about. :-)

I doubt anything is wrong. That sometimes happens when you (don't laugh at my word) overstimulate them. So, just wait it out a few days. If they are STILL sore, just mention casually to your mother that your boobs are hurting. Haha, the last conclusion she's going to come to is your boyfriend was kissing them.

Oh my god the irony! I was just watching this sex special with Katie Couric with my mother, just to see the faces she made. I completely disagree with my mother's points alot, but she did bring up a few good ones. Sex nowadays is taken so lightly, and it's like it really is out of horniness and boredom. I mean, I'm not against sex. I'm against doing something like that with someone you're not close too, or just started dating. It's not suppossed to be just something you do...I don't know. Here's my advice. If you really want to do it, and you honestly don't think you're going to regret it, go for it, I mean, what's the worst that could happen? (And no, I'm not feeding you sex consequence bullshit, or even implying it) I'm just saying, please think before you do something. You can't take it back.

Q: --16.f-- There's this guy, in my school (let's call him Tom?) well..I am on the school swim team, and so is Tom..He flirts with every single girl he can, and ofcourse, I'm included amoung these girls. Of course get to know him better. As cliche as that answer is, REALLY THINK ABOUT IT. Talk to him MORE. And yeah, maybe he might like you. Hang out with him. Seriously HANG OUT WITH HIM. Invite him to do something. Alot of guys are flirts, but that doesn't mean they want to stay single forever. :-)

:-) That's perfectly normal. Because your relationship has just taken a drastic turn. You just have to get past the awkward stages...and then you'll be back to being stupid around them.
